We’re not sure why they’re listed this way – perhaps Onyx Gaming has an agreement to take over the running of them, but the agreement hasn’t come into force yet? Bet Wright kept us waiting for a very long time. First slated for launch in August 2024, it slipped to September before falling off the radar altogether for a while before finally going live in December that year. It’s also a bit of a strange brand. The template that powers the operations of Bet Wright is that of Playbook Gaming Limited, but the operator of the brand is listed as Onyx Gaming Limited of Colchester. We’ve already covered that the Bet Wright sister sites listed on its licence aren’t really sister sites at all, so it feels like everything gets stranger about this brand the longer we sit and look at it. Let’s find out if that continues as we review it.

Bet Wright Welcome Offers

Here’s a tell-tale sign that Bet Wright runs on the same platform that powers the Playbook Gaming Limited betting sites – it doesn’t have a welcome promotion. While the idea of not offering so much as a £5 free bet makes no commercial sense to us in a market as competitive as the UK sports betting scene, that’s the approach that Bet Wright has gone with. We hope they change their mind about that in the future, because it’s surely costing them custom from new arrivals that might otherwise have signed up.

Bet Wright offers a “Wright Slots Club,” which coincidentally (or not) works the same way as the Slots Club at quite a few of the Playbook Gaming betting sites and casinos. The concept of a Prestige customer makes it sound like there’s a loyalty or VIP reward scheme available at Bet Wright, but if there is, it’s top secret. What we find really strange is that while there are a few bonus options here for slots fans, there’s nothing at all for sports bettors. Isn’t sports betting supposed to be the entire point of the brand?

What are the Pros and Cons of Bet Wright?

Pros: We know this template, and we know it works well. It’s the same template as the one that’s driven the success of Rhino Bet, so it’s dependable. The sportsbook covers pretty much everything you’d want it to cover, and there are more casino games here than you’d expect to find at a sports-focused iGaming brand.

Cons: The lack of a sign-up offer makes the welcome at Bet Wright a cold one. The lack of any bonuses at all for sports bettors sounds like a major strategic misstep. There are hundreds of active sports betting sites in the UK marketplace, and it’s difficult to imagine how a new one thinks it might break through and get a foothold without giving a few regular bonuses away. What’s worse is that we can’t find any clear terms about withdrawal processing anywhere on its website.

Since Bet Wright markets itself as a sports betting brand, we’ll talk about sports betting first. Weirdly, the sport that appears first under the “popular” tag is American Football – a strange point of focus for a UK-facing brand. Baseball and basketball come next, and at this point we realise that this isn’t a list of “popular” sports at all – it’s just a list of all the sports the site covers, arranged A-Z. Horse racing, football, Formula 1, cricket, rugby and greyhound racing are all covered, so the British bases are all covered if that’s what you’re looking for.

The casino is supposed to be a side-show at Bet Wright, but it’s clear from looking at it that it still comes with quality games and, as you’ll recall from earlier parts of this review, the only promotions and bonuses that the Bet Wright brand currently has to offer. Fortune: Hit n Roll by Pragmatic Play was the top slots game on the Bet Wright homepage on the day the casino launched, followed by The Dog House: Muttley Crew, Big Bass Crash, and Wisdom of Athena: 1000. The top option in the Bet Wright catalogue is Speed Baccarat, but there are plenty more available.

Withdrawal Processing and Support

We don’t know. That’s the short option. There isn’t a banking page on the Bet Wright website, and the FAQ only covers basic questions like, “What is Bet Wright?” and “Do you offer the best odds?” rather than anything that might conceivably be useful. There aren’t even any payment provider logos in the footer of the Bet Wright website, and the terms and conditions aren’t specific. As such, we don’t know which payment methods Bet Wright works with or how long it takes for withdrawal requests to be processed.

Bet Wright – The Verdict

Given the fact that Bet Wright arrived more than three months after it was supposed to, we expected better from it. We don’t mind it using another operator’s template – it’s a good template, after all – but it’s a bare-bones version of it. There are no bonuses for sports bettors, the level of customer support provided is inadequate, and there isn’t enough information provided upfront for potential players to make informed decisions about registering an account or spending money. Basically, Bet Wright doesn’t have what it takes to compete in the marketplace in its current format. We hope it grows over time.
