L&L Europe Casinos

LL Europe Ltd logo

Malta-based L & L Europe has been involved in the iGaming business since 2011 and is best-known for being the operator behind All British Casino, but as you can see below, there are plenty of other great options on this company’s platform.

L & L Europe Limited has a company motto, and the motto is “come and join the fun.” This is an operator that’s all about providing players with a good time. Unlike some casino operators out there who’ll provide you with multiple variations of the same basic casino site, L & L Europe Limited puts in the effort to ensure that each of the casinos under its umbrella genuinely looks and feels different, from the patriotic pomp of All British Casino to the out-of-this-world style of Hyper Casino. Each of the operator’s nine brands received a complete overhaul of its graphics and layout in 2023, bringing them right up to date and, in the case of some of the older casinos like Yako Casino, providing them with a fresh lease of life.

It’s obvious from the profile of the top casinos on the L & L Europe Limited platform that this is a successful casino network company, but it seems to have slowed down a little in the past couple of years. The operator used to add new brands to its platform semi-regularly, but there have been no new additions to the L & L Europe Limited platform since the launch of Pub Casino in January 2023. Pub Casino is a fantastic site, and is arguably the best-looking of the new casinos that the operator has come up with to date, but it would be a surprise to us if the L & L Europe story ended there. Now they’re done polishing up their existing sites, it wouldn’t surprise us to see this family of casinos grow in the near future.

LC International

LC International Limited plays host to some of the oldest and most celebrated sports betting brands in the world in Ladbrokes and Coral, but there’s more to this operator than just sports betting.

You can travel the whole world, but you’ll never find a sports betting brand as old as Ladbrokes. It’s been in continuous operation since 1902, and will likely still be around one hundred years from now. Coral is almost as old, having started trading in 1926. For most of their existence, the two brands were great rivals on the British high street, competing for space, attention and custom. However, the changing gambling landscape saw them attempt to join forces in 1998 when Ladbrokes first purchased Coral and its near-900 shops. The age of internet betting had arrived, and the companies were better together than they would be apart. The UK Government felt differently, though, and ordered Ladbrokes to sell Coral almost immediately because the move fell foul of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission. The companies had been kept apart for the short term, but their time would come again.

In 2015, Ladbrokes and Coral got together again to talk about a possible merger. By that time, Coral was part of the Gala Coral Group, and also owned Gala Bingo and other Gala brands. The UK Government still had concerns, but this time the deal went through, and LC International Limited was created. The ‘L’ and ‘C’ stand for Ladbrokes and Coral. The whole merged group was bought by GVC Holdings for £4bn in 2017, and that was the beginning of something even bigger in the shape of Entain Plc, which is almost like a supergroup containing not only Ladbrokes, Coral, the Gala brands and the Foxy brands but also massively successful international sports betting brands like Bwin.

Gamesys Casinos

Gamesys logo

Gamesys Operations Limited is the power behind the enormous success of JackpotJoy, but after a change of ownership in 2021, it might be about to reach even greater heights.

When the company we now know as Gamesys Operations Limited was founded in 2001 in London, it was a proudly British company owned by just three software developers, all of whom had experience in the rapidly-developing online casino and iGaming scene. It was this trio of founders who were responsible for creating JackpotJoy, but the success of JackpotJoy almost ended up eating the company. The story of Gamesys is long and complicated, and we encourage you to check out our dedicated page for the operator to find out more, but the short version is that Gamesys sold JackpotJoy for £425m in February 2015, only for the successful bidder to come back and perform a takeover of Gamesys itself. All of this came just two years after Gamesys had started aggressively expanding in the market by buying up casinos like Virgin Games, so it was a busy and turbulent time for the operator.

The version of Gamesys that had existed between 2001 and 2019 came to an end when the JPJ Group – the buyers of JackpotJoy – bought it in 2019. the JPJ Group then renamed itself as the Gamesys Group, and took ownership of all the other Gamesys sites. That would have been the end of the story had it not been for the fact that Gamesys had begun to attract attention from overseas. In October 2021, the massive Bally’s Corporation completed a £2bn takeover of the Gamesys Group. That began the process which led to Bally Casino launching in the UK in 2023. The brand hasn’t yet hit the heights that its operator surely hoped that it would, but it has time on its side yet.

Rank Interactive Casinos

Owning both the online and offline versions of household name brands like Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casino ought to be a big enough claim to fame for any company, but The Rank Group has bigger claims to fame than that.

To truly understand the scope and scale of The Rank Group, you have to go back to 1937, when it was founded by J. Arthur Rank as The Rank Organisation. Mr Rank had no interest in casinos, though – he was far more interested in making movies. The Rank Organisation was a movie company from 1937 until 1996, when the original business finally failed and its assets were acquired by a new entity called Megastorm Public Limited Company. It wasn’t the catchiest name in the world, so it’s not a surprise that it became The Rank Group shortly after completing the deal. It’s still a UK-based company today, and has largely split itself into three. There’s a part of the business that looks after the day-to-day operations of its brick-and-mortar Grosvenor Casino premises, another part that looks after all the brick-and-mortar Mecca Bingo venues, and a third segment that looks after everything the company does online. That part of the business is known as Rank Interactive.

The online versions of Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo are and always will be the biggest digital properties of Rank Interactive, but there are some other noteworthy sites on its platform. The Vic is the official online presence of one of the UK’s most famous in-person Grosvenor Casino venues, for example, and there’s also Bella Casino. That’s the official online casino of Bella Magazine, which remains one of the most-read female-interest glossy magazines in the UK. It’s been a while since Rialto Casino launched as the most recent addition to the Rank Interactive casinos, but further expansion is possible in the future.

Some of the casinos and iGaming brands we’ve chosen to feature here are the only sites that their respective owners have ever come up with. Not every casino operator or network site has dreams of operating a hundred or more casinos or a wide network of white-label sites. Plenty are more than happy to open a single casino, back it to the hilt in terms of marketing and then reap the rewards. Take Mr Q, for example. You’d have to be foolish in the extreme not to describe Mr Q as a smash hit of a betting and casino brand, but it’s the only site that Lindar Media has ever come up with. The Bet365 brands exist in their own self-contained network, too, including Bet365 Bingo, Bet365 Casino, and all the rest. If we’re talking about quality British sports betting brands, though, Fitzdares would be one of the first names on the lips of most people. That, too, is a one-off site, being the only iGaming property on its platform.

All of the casinos we’ve selected for this section are tried-and-trusted performers. They’re not a flash in the pan – they’ve attracted a wide base of players, and they’ve held on to those player bases for many years. Video Slots and Mr Vegas, which both belong to the same network, are both great examples of casinos that receive hugely positive reviews from players without belonging to an all-star brand. If you’re looking to find out where your fellow players are playing at the moment, you’ll mostly find them distributed across one or more of the casinos featured above.

Trending sister sites

There are online casinos that become popular and stay popular, and there are those that burn up like shooting stars – red hot for a fleeting moment but then gone. There’s a mixture of both here.

All the casinos you see above have proven themselves to be popular, but haven’t yet remained popular for long enough to be classed as “popular casinos.” They might get there one day, but they still have a way to go. For now, they’re “trending,” much like the latest hot celebrity gossip on social media. These are casinos that people are talking about. They’re all attracting players at a rapid rate, so this is the best place to find out what’s hot right now with your fellow players. We update this section of our homepage regularly, and many of the casinos you see above will be brand new or something close to it. That won’t always be the case, though – we sometimes see casinos and betting sites that have been around for years suddenly go on a hot streak and start trending out of seemingly nowhere.

A good reason for a casino to become “trending” if it isn’t brand new is if it’s had a revamp or a relaunch. Take mFortune and PocketWin from the above selection as perfect examples. They’re much-loved casino brands, but they’d both died off altogether when their previous casino network company closed, only to be brought back to life by Viral Interactive Limited. The same thing is also true of Jammy Monkey, which has been revived by the same operator. BetMGM has been tearing up trees since it arrived in the UK in 2023, and continues to do so. LeoVegas is just very good at keeping itself in the general iGaming conversation. Each of these casinos has its own reason for being here, but they must have something going for them to be classed as hot. Maybe now is a good time to find out.

About SisterSite.co.uk

Sistersite.co.uk is the UK’s leading casino sister site directory for UK players. We know that players really want to find out what casinos are owned by the same company in the same group, so we have organised the whole industry into company groups so that players can find more of the casino offers, slot games, easy-to-navigate sites and great-quality customer support that they love.

What is a sister site?

A sister site is a casino or casinos that are owned by the same company. For example, Pink Casino, 21.co.uk and Slot Boss are all owned by LeoVegas PLC, so we can call Pink Casino a sister site of Slot Boss. Another example is that Mr Play, Mr Mega and Spin Rio are all owned by AG Communications Limited, so they’re all sister sites of each other, too.

How big is our index?

We have over 3200 online casinos listed on sistersite.co.uk, so if it exists and it’s worth playing at, there is a very good chance we’ve reviewed it and organised. Here, players can find out the key information about every casino, and make a decision whether to sign up and spend their hard-earned money on that site.

Why play at sister sites?

Many players like specific casinos due to their game selection, payment methods or just simply because of their branding. So what happens when they think that the website has dropped off or become unlucky? They look for a similar casino to play at which has the same set of games and payment methods – a sister site. So we’ve organised all the casino websites in the world into groups of sister sites that are owned by the same company and that operate on the same platform. This makes it very easy for players to find the perfect casino for them.

What are the top sister sites of 2024?

The world of online casinos is forever changing, and the list of top casinos and sister sites changes with it. Generally, you’ll find the hottest casinos of the year to date in one of two sections – our “Popular UK Brands” section and our “Trending Sister Sites” section. Some of those casinos will always be there. Sky Vegas, for example, is never likely to fall out of favour with the British public. Nor are the likes of 888 Casino or Virgin Bet. Trending casinos will come and go, though. Mr Q has been trending with us for a while, and we’ve also seen the likes of NineWin and Nine Casino become smash hits in recent months. WinOMania is very popular following its revamp, and Duelz Casino is back in the spotlight after being out of it for a while. This picture is always changing, though – that’s why our directory is updated every day.
