Well, we have an answer to the question we just asked immediately. We wondered whether ChromeBet would set the pattern for the rest of the EightStorm sister sites, and then in December 2024, VoltaBets turned up to tell us that the answer is probably going to be “yes.” Don’t get us wrong, we don’t hate VoltaBets – we actually think it’s a little prettier than ChromeBet, and it has the same positive factors going for it, but the chief problem that it faces is that it’s much, much too similar to ChromeBet itself.

When Dice Enterprises N.V. made VoltaBets, all they did was copy and paste all the content from ChromeBet and then give it a new name and a new skin of graphics. It’s not a different casino – it’s the same casino wearing a different set of clothes. So far, there isn’t much variety available across the EightStorm sister sites. If you’ve played at ChromeBet, you’ve also played at VoltaBets in every way that matters. Don’t despair just yet, though – there are still more casinos in development with Dice Enterprises N.V., and we’ll review each new brand as it’s added to see if the operator gets a little more daring and experimental over time.

What are the Pros and Cons of EightStorm Casino?

Pros: This is a large-scale casino that makes good use of its eye-catching Far East theme. Its welcome promotions are reasonable (even if the terms could be a little better), and it combines its casino section with a wide-ranging sportsbook. New games arrive regularly.

Cons: EightStorm doesn’t specify whether its reload bonuses are one-off or recurring, which makes it impossible to assess their potential value before signing up. The details of the withdrawal process are difficult to find, and when you do find the details, you find that they take up to five days. There doesn’t appear to be any live customer service, and the casino’s licence is weak.

EightStorm has access to slots and games from an impressive range of providers, but we suspect that it has a special relationship with a lesser-known slots provider called CT Gaming. There’s a payment FAQ linked to the header of the EightStorm website, but it isn’t actually very useful. One of the most obvious questions that players might frequently ask about payments is, “How long is this going to take?”, which the FAQ doesn’t answer. It’s only when you open the full Terms of Use at EightStorm that you find that all withdrawals take up to five business days, which isn’t great. The approved methods for withdrawal are Neteller or Skrill, debit cards, bank transfers, or just about any major cryptocurrency. The casino’s operator, Dice Enterprises N.V., holds an Internet Gaming Licence issued in the State of Anjouan. The same licence covers the EightStorm sister sites. While it offers a basic degree of regulation, it’s wholly insufficient to allow the casino to operate in the United Kingdom.

EightStorm Casino – The Verdict

EightStorm Casino looks good, but it lets itself down in key areas. Failing to make the terms of its bonuses clear is a bad mistake, and we didn’t appreciate being made to look so hard for payment timescales when this information should have been provided freely on the Payment FAQ page. There doesn’t appear to be any live customer service available, and the licence that the casino operates under means it should turn away players from other regulated territories, but it doesn’t. That’s quite a long rap sheet. We think the framework of a decent casino is there, but EightStorm needs a lot doing to it if it wants to get up to scratch.
