Although most of Genesis Casino’s branding is themed around outer space, you’ll occasionally see out-of-place looking people in traditional Indian dress juxtaposed against the space background. Head over to the casino’s official YouTube channel, and you’ll also find a small collection of videos aimed at the Indian market. Only five videos have ever been uploaded to the channel in the two years it’s been active, although it doesn’t seem to have been abandoned. Now that the UK market appears to be a bigger priority for Genesis Casino and its owners Genesis Global Limited, perhaps we’ll see more activity on this front.

Limited Reach

Genesis Casino should be commended for trying to find fans by producing video content, which is something that not enough casinos do. However, it hasn’t had much success on that front yet. It has fewer than 150 followers on YouTube and has never attracted more than 1,500 viewers to a video. That video was a guide on how to use the Rapid Transfer service, so the people who watched it might have been more interested in that than anything to do with the casino.

We can tell you a similar story about Instagram. Like YouTube, Instagram is a promotional tool that far too few casinos use in an attempt to connect with their audience. Genesis Casino has more than five hundred followers on the photo-led social media brand but appears to have given up hope of developing that number any further. The only unanswered question we have about Genesis Casino is where the idea for the brand came from. Click on the “about us” page on the casino’s website, and things become very confusing. The word “genesis” implies a biblical theme, but what you see on that page of the site is anything but. In fact, the image waiting to greet you is a spaceman carrying a roulette wheel across the surface of an alien planet. The background text doesn’t make things much clearer. IT tells us that it all began a million miles away along a highway in the sky. Quite what that has to do with the casino or casino gaming in general is anybody’s guess.

The promotional text on the page goes on to talk about a “galaxy” of casino games and the opportunity to spin “where nobody has spun before.” That’s a lot of space puns, but no explanation of the theme and no hints of how travelling into outer space has anything to do with genesis. We understand the concept of genesis being the start of something, and perhaps you could say that the Genesis Casino brand was the genesis point for Genesis Global Limited, but we’re left with a feeling that they may have mixed the concept of genesis up with the concept of the big bang!
