Mr Green Sister Sites

Mr Green used to be a standalone casino, but it gained sister sites when its parent company Mr Green Limited was sold to the William Hill Group. It got even more company when the William Hil Group was sold to the 888 Group in a multi-billion pound deal in 2021. That means all of the 888 Group’s casinos are now Mr Green sister sites. Here are some of the standout brands.

William Hill

Williamhill logo

William Hill has been around in the UK since 1934. It was started by just one man on his bicycle riding through his home town collecting bets, and now it’s a multinational corporation. It looked like William Hill was expanding when the group paid big money to acquire Mr Green, but the William Hill Group has since been acquired by the 888 Group. That means the William Hill name and brand now belongs to one of the biggest iGaming entities in the world. William Hill is best known for being a sports betting company, and probably always will be. Visit the casino site today, though, and you’ll find that it offers the whole range of modern casino games, including slots, poker, bingo, and games hosted by live dealers. William Hill is an old brand that’s kept up with the times and – in the UK , at least – is the most famous of all the Mr Green sister sites.

When the people at Mr Green Limited decided to sell up to William Hill, they couldn’t have imagined that their new owners would also be sold within a year. The big-money deal technically makes Mr Green an 888 Group brand and means that 888 Casino is a Mr Green sister site. While some casinos might get lost in a shuffle like that, Mr Green appears to be thriving among its new top-class siblings. 888 Casino has been online since 1997. It’s an iGaming leviathan with several hundred thousand players and a huge media presence. Opinions will vary on whether 888 Casino is among the best casinos in the UK, but nobody can argue that it’s not one of the biggest. The flagship brand comes with everything you’d expect a major modern casino to have.

777 Casino

When the 888 Group made the surprising decision to sell almost all of its bingo and casino websites to Broadway Gaming Limited, it was practically a clear-out of every member of the Mr Green sister sites family. All of the bingo sites – even 888 Bingo – are now under new management. Only a handful of sites survived the cull – the very best of the best in the eyes of the casino operator. 777 Casino might not carry the 888 logo, but it’s still a very strong performer, and it’s stayed with the company as it moves forward into a new sports betting-focused age. 777 Casino might not offer sports betting, but it does have a very cool American desert theme and a fantastic range of online slots. We don’t think it would be outrageous to suggest that this is a better-looking casino than 888 Casino, and you’ll find plenty of players who’d go on record as saying that it’s not only graphics that are done better at 777 Casino than at 888 Casino. More than a few regular players would say that it’s a better casino overall, so if you’re looking for Mr Green sister sites, you might want to check it out.

Mr Green News

: This week, the Mr Green sister sites have introduced a delightful addition to their gaming repertoire with Chicken Night Fever, a whimsical slot game developed by Pear Fiction Studios. Set in a lively henhouse, this game offers a unique and entertaining experience with its chicken-themed design and engaging features. The game boasts 5 reels, 3 rows, and initially 243 ways to win, which can expand up to 7,776 ways with the innovative Split Chicken feature. Players can place bets ranging from a minimum of £0.20 to a maximum of £50. Chicken Night Fever stands out with an RTP (Return to Player) of 96.09% and a hit frequency of 35.28%, offering a balance of risk and reward with its medium volatility. The game’s maximum win potential is an impressive 5000x the bet, providing ample opportunity for significant payouts. The slot’s engaging features include Wild Symbols, Free Spins, Chicken SwiftHits Symbols, and a Bonus Buy option for those eager to jump straight into the action.

Mr Green Chicken Night Fever

The game’s design is a charming depiction of a wooden henhouse, complete with chickens, eggs, and barrels, creating an immersive farmyard atmosphere. The symbols range from lower-paying ones like J, Q, K, and A, to higher-paying ones represented by colourful chickens. The Wild Symbol, designed as a chicken wing with the text “WILD,” and the Scatter Symbol, a disco ball with “Free Spins,” add to the game’s dynamic. The Free Spins feature, triggered by landing Scatter Symbols, includes a Free Spins Wheel that determines the number of spins and the starting multiplier value, enhancing the excitement of the gameplay.

: This festive season, the Mr Green sister sites have introduced a unique slot game for those looking for an alternative to the traditional Christmas cheer. 3 Books of Krampus by Live 5 offers a darker twist on holiday-themed slots, featuring the mythical figure Krampus. This game diverges from the usual festive slots, providing a spooky antithesis to the typical Santa-themed games. The slot operates on a 5×3 layout with 10 betways, offering a balanced platform for potential wins. Players can start their eerie adventure with a minimum bet of 10p, going up to a maximum of £10. The game incorporates the popular ‘Book of’ mechanics, which includes Free Spins with the potential to accrue additional spins, and the bonus symbol which doubles as a scatter and wild. These features enhance the gameplay and increase the chances of winning, with a maximum win potential of x5000.

However, one aspect of “3 Books of Krampus” that might deter some players is its disappointingly low Return to Player (RTP) rate of 92.02%. This RTP is significantly lower than the 96% average for most modern slot games, which might cause some slot players to give this game a wide berth. Despite this, the game promises a unique and thrilling experience for those seeking a holiday slot with a dark twist. The graphics are centred around the holidays but with a horror twist, incorporating elements like snowmen, monsters, and the ominous figure of Krampus. The game’s technology supports JS and HTML5, ensuring smooth gameplay across various devices.

: Mr Green is currently offering an enticing promotion for players who enjoy the thrill of fishy online slots. This offer focuses on the popular game Big Bass Splash, known for its engaging theme and potential for big wins. Players have the chance to receive 5 free spins, which are provided at no cost. The highlight of the much-adored slot game is its free spins feature, where players can benefit from the wild fisherman symbol that can reel in cash prizes. Additionally, the game offers the possibility of increasing multipliers, which can go up to 10x, especially if you collect enough wild symbols during your play. To participate in this promotion, players need to follow a few simple steps: opt into the promotion by hitting the ‘opt In’ button, open the Big Bass Splash game, and accept the free spins when the pop-up appears.

Mr Green Big Bass Splash

It’s important to note that this promotion is available once per customer and is active from 00:00:01 (UK time) on 12th December 2023 until 23:59:59 (UK time) on 14th December 2023. The free spins are exclusively for use on Big Bass Splash and are valued at £0.10 per spin. One of the most appealing aspects of this offer is that any winnings are paid in cash and are not subject to any wagering requirements. However, players should be aware that these spins expire 24 hours after they are issued. This promotion is only available to players in the UK with a GBP account. By opting in, players agree to the full terms and conditions of the offer. Unused spins will be automatically removed from the account at the end of the bonus period.

: On the 5th of December, iGaming Business announced a significant development in the Danish betting and online casino industry with the inclusion of Playtech and Evolution Gaming as the latest members of Spillebranchen, Denmark’s trade association. This move is seen as a strategic step towards promoting best practices within the industry. Spillebranchen is committed to fostering a responsible and sustainable gaming market, and the addition of these two renowned gaming providers is expected to strengthen its efforts. They join other prominent industry members such as Bet365, Betsson, Betfair, Danske Licens Spil, Entain, Kindred Group, LeoVegas, and the Mr Green sister sites. The association believes that the expertise and insights of Playtech and Evolution will be invaluable in their joint efforts to shape the future of online gambling both in Denmark and internationally. This collaboration is anticipated to benefit the members, the industry, and the numerous individuals who engage in gambling responsibly.

However, this positive development comes amid growing concerns over underage gambling in Denmark. A recent study conducted by the Denmark regulator Spillemyndigheden revealed that approximately 15% of young people aged between 15 and 17 have engaged in gambling activities. The study highlighted that 68% of these young gamblers placed sports bets, while 42% played online casino games. Additionally, 21% participated in lotteries and scratchcards, and 4% were involved in other gambling activities. Alarmingly, 35% of young people were found to be involved in skin betting, a feature in video games where players can win virtual items. Furthermore, the study indicated that 4% of all calls made to the StopSpillet gambling helpline were from players under 18, suggesting that young people are at risk of developing gambling-related issues from an early age.

: Silent Bet’s recent review of Mr Green Casino, meticulously conducted after reading 23 articles, testing the platform for 47 hours, and comparing it with 12 other popular brands, presents a detailed analysis of this renowned online gambling brand. The review highlights the casino’s strengths, such as its extensive range of games, including slots, video poker, live dealer games, blackjack, jackpots, baccarat, and roulette. These games are powered by top software providers like NetEnt and Evolution Gaming, ensuring high-quality and engaging gaming experiences. As Silent Bet found, the casino also offers a mobile app for both Android and iOS, enhancing accessibility and convenience for players.

Mr Green Great Review

However, the review does not shy away from pointing out the cons. Notably, Mr Green Casino does not accept cryptocurrency payments, a feature that is becoming increasingly common in online casinos. This is an unusual point of criticism from Silent Bet, as not many reputable platforms have embraced crypto payments yet. So on the flip side, the casino’s commitment to security and fairness is evident, with licensing from the UK Gambling Commission and the use of random number generators to ensure unbiased game outcomes. The review also touches upon the user-friendly design and structure of the Mr Green website, its easy registration process, and the variety of payment methods available; crypto aside, obviously! As a final quite literal bonus, the welcome bonus and other promotions are generous, adding value to the player’s experience from the very first deposit. Furthermore, the casino’s customer support is available 24/7, ensuring that players’ queries and concerns are promptly addressed.

: Slingshot Studios, in partnership with Games Global, has crafted a new game that’s making waves across Mr Green sister sites – Loot Boost. This slot takes inspiration from the well-received Game of Thrones Power Stacks, with its Link&Win feature being a primary draw for players looking for a blend of familiarity and innovation. Loot Boost transports players into a tranquil environment, far removed from the high-octane energy of many contemporary slots. The setting is peaceful, with sparkling waters and a calm soundtrack that offers a respite from the typically adrenaline-fueled slot sessions. The aesthetic design and audio elements coalesce to provide a gaming experience that is as soothing as it is engaging. The game mechanics of Loot Boost feature a 5-reel, 4-row layout with 40 paylines to assess wins. Stakes are flexible, accommodating a range from 20p to £50 per spin, catering to a diverse set of players. The slot is built on a medium volatility model, offering a respectable RTP of 96.05%.

The symbols of Loot Boost are designed to be as airy as the game’s overall feel, with a range of fruits and card suits making up the lower and higher ends of the paytable respectively. Wilds are the most lucrative, offering 10x the bet for a five-of-a-kind win. The slot’s bonus features add depth to the gameplay, with Power Stacks, Ultra Link&Win, and free spins all providing opportunities for significant wins. The Max Mode, a standout addition, enhances the Ultra Link&Win rounds with extra rows, boosting the win potential significantly. Loot Boost’s win potential caps at 4,000x the bet, and while it may not promise the stratospheric payouts of some high-variance slots, it offers a balanced mix of relaxed play and exciting winning possibilities.

: The digital age has ushered in countless conveniences, among which is the rise of mobile casinos, granting players the thrill of the game right at their fingertips. In its recent roundup, The Herald spotlighted several noteworthy platforms, with one casino, in particular, earning high accolades for its commitment to players: Mr Green.
The distinction that this platform holds lies not just in its vast assortment of games or seamless interface. The genuine star feature, as emphasised by The Herald, is its round-the-clock customer care. Imagine being in a nail-biting game, only to encounter a technical glitch or have a pressing query about a game rule. In such times, swift and effective support becomes crucial. With its 24/7 customer service, players on this platform can expect prompt resolution, ensuring that their gaming experience remains uninterrupted and enjoyable.

Mr Green The Herald

In addition to this feature, the extensive game libraries attached to the Mr Green sister sites and secure gaming environments further solidify their standing as a top mobile casino destination. The site is not just about gameplay; it’s about offering a holistic experience where players feel valued and supported. While the casino stands tall, The Herald’s roundup also included other mobile casinos worth exploring. Names like LeoVegas, Royal Panda, and Casumo were lauded for their impressive offerings and commitment to ensuring a delightful gaming experience for users. All in all, for players seeking real cash wins on trusted platforms, these recommendations by The Herald serve as a guiding light in the ever-expanding universe of mobile casinos.

: Mr Green may have been shrinking in the UK gambling scene lately, but as Ad World pointed out on October 20, the iconic gambling brand hasn’t disappeared entirely, especially after the Stephen’s Green tram stop in Ireland was converted into Mr Green’s Green, as a courtesy of the advertising wizards Posterplan and Wavemaker. Some locals were even keen to pose in front of the tram announcement column which features the iconic green-suited mascot towards the base of the column and an advert for the brand-new Irish dating show Gra ar an Tra, which is being sponsored by the bookmaker. The first episode of the dating show premiered on the 25th of September on Virgin Media, and it is already a hit with viewers.

In addition to the tram stop column which is adorned with the branded green bowler hat as the perfect finishing touch, areas of the Stephen’s Green shopping centre also had a major makeover; the green theme has been well and truly embraced through green light projections. The senior account manager at Posterplan, Megan Daley, commented that it was an incredible experience working alongside Wavemaker and the betting brand to bring this vision to life. The head of brand marketing at 888 | William Hill, Andrew McCleave, was just as delighted with the execution of the project and campaign, which has made the brand hard to ignore for anyone who happens to be jumping on a tram at Stephen’s Green, although, it seems like a bit of a non-event in our book!

: When we stopped by the Mr Green sister sites this week, we were slightly disappointed to see that there are no new promotions available to regular members; however, the selection of new games gave players a reason to log in this week. If you love slots which tap into the mystique and allure of Eastern Asia, Rich Little Piggies: Hog Wild by Light & Wonder is a fun contribution to the genre. With a bit of tongue-in-cheek charm infused into the game, at face value, it seems that the developer didn’t take the development of this slot all too seriously, but when you look under the hood to review the math model, you will quickly find that the iGaming developer injected some serious win potential into the feel-good slot. The RTP rate may be lower than the industry standard and you won’t encounter any win multipliers, but multipliers were surplus to requirement thanks to the six jackpots and the max payout of 12,500x.

Mr Green Rich Little Piggies Hog Wild

When you trigger the free spin bonus feature, you will receive 1x your stake and a random allocation of bonus spins, as in this game, your free spin tally won’t be determined by the number of scatter symbols which triggered the game. Instead, the number of free spins you receive will depend on which symbol triggered the game. If it is the blue pig which triggered the feature, you can snag up to 100 free spins; if triggered by any other symbol, you could be playing with as few as 7 free games.

: From the 20th of September to the 29th, the Mr Green sister sites are boosting the appeal of Gonzo’s Treasure Map Live, by giving away £7,000 in cash drops to randomly selected players. If you have enjoyed the online slot franchise and you haven’t managed to bring yourself around to the prospect of playing live game show-style casino games yet, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved and acquainted with the exhilaratingly refreshing format, which is incredibly easy to follow. You will receive one ticket to the prize draw every time you stake £10 or more on the game after hitting opt-in when you visit the promotion page. The prize draw will take place on the 27th of September, and there are 307 prizes up for grabs.

There are no limits on how many tickets to the cash giveaway can be earned with each subsequent £10 stake following first. However, given the top prize is only £100 and you can only win one prize, we would probably recommend not going overboard on earning tickets. Unless, of course, you are a massive fan of the live Gonzo’s Quest format. If you do win, the cash will work its way into your account within 72 hours after you have accepted the prize. All prizes must be accepted within 30 days to avoid them being forfeited. Like most promos at Mr Green, this one is exclusively reserved for UK players who are in the UK and playing with a pound sterling currency.

: There have been plenty of shake-ups at 888 Holdings HQ this week, the operator behind the prominent Mr Green sister sites, including William Hill, has announced that Sean Wilkins, who is best known in the sports betting and gambling industry for his role as the Chief Financial Officer for Superbet will be becoming the finance chief at 888 next year. This is Money was just one of the news outlets keen to break the news on the 13th of September, the article also documented how the current CFO will be stepping down with almost immediate effect. Seemingly, 888 Holdings took the adage of keep your friends close and your enemies closer all too seriously when they brought an executive of their European rival on board, although, given his impressive CV, enlisting him to take the company to even greater heights was a smart move. Even though Superbet isn’t as much of a dominant force in the UK as the likes of William Hill, the omnichannel gaming and betting business is a major entity in Belgium, Serbia, Poland, and Romania.

Mr Green Sean Wilkins 888

Sean Wilkins will be stepping into his new role in February 2024, and he will be relying on his 17 years of experience in leading financial operations in the public and private sectors to bring 888 Holdings back into good stead. For those not in the know, his appointment follows 888 replacing their chief executive earlier this year after the gambling powerhouse faced down an activist plot to take control of the firm.

: From the 30th of August to the 5th of September, the Mr Green sister sites are giving their valued members the opportunity to gain free spins on 2023’s hottest Wild West-themed online slot game, Bounty Raid 2. To qualify for five free games on each day the promotion window is open, you will need to part with five of your English pounds, which means that there is a grand total of 35 free games on the ramshackled table. The free spins are valued at 10p each, and if you happen to get lucky with them, your winnings will be subject to 35x wagering requirements, which can only be fulfilled on the game, Astronaut. The bonuses from this promotion will expire within 24 hours, within this 24-hour period, you will also need to clear the wagering requirements.

As for the slot in question, the Red Tiger Gaming 5 x 4-reel game is highly volatile, and we wish we could say that the dry spells are worth enduring – given that the max win is a measly 2372.2x your stake, it is far from one of the most mathematically perfect games you will find on Mr Green. As for the bonus features, that is where the video slot starts to amass much of its spin appeal. The bounty hunter feature is easily the most enticing element worked into the gameplay, which functions as pretty much your average hold-and-win re-spin bonus feature, but the bounty hunting and shoot ‘em up element to the gameplay is decidedly a nice touch.

: If you have been wondering how 888 Holdings is performing in 2023, Gambling.com has the definitive answer, which they posted in an article that illustrates how the international company’s financial form has been improving throughout the year. 888 Holdings, which operates the Mr Green sister sites 888 Sport and 888 Casino, has optimistically shared how they are on track to meet all of the financial predictions and targets set in 2022. The global company puts this down to how they have successfully adapted its business model and navigated the often-precarious state of the iGaming industry as it rapidly adapts to the regulatory volatility. The acquisition of one of their fiercest rivals, William Hill in the summer of 2022, may have come at a significant cost and incurred a £1.9 billion debt, but their bold high stakes are seeming to pay off tenfold.

Mr Green 888 Holdings

In a recently posted first-half trading update, 888 Holdings Plc revealed that its aggregated values rose by 165% compared to last year. Seemingly, they are making all the right winning moves, which is only attracting more interest from company investors. A major part of the company’s 2023 success can be attributed to the net debt reduction that saw £68 million shaved off their total value. As the debts went down, net cash went up by £11 million, taking the total value to £188 million. However, Gambling.com also pointed out some ‘pessimistic points’, the main one being the significant tax loss of £32.9 million – at least 888 Holdings isn’t attempting to try and avoid their taxes.

: Mr Green doesn’t often garner outside attention, but this week, Gambling.com conducted and published a thorough review of the iGaming experience and had plenty of positive things to say about the site that has been a respected and trusted site since 2008. The wide selection of games, which includes exclusive games and live casino games was noted as one of the biggest benefits of joining the site, whereas the biggest drawback to players is the 1% fee that is applied to all withdrawals from the platform. When snooping around the casino game library, the reviewers found that even though the collection of games wasn’t the biggest, the library was well-maintained and curated by the casino. Furthermore, it is effortless to find out what is new and what’s hot by checking out the recently introduced and trending games, where you are almost guaranteed to find top content from the likes of Red Tiger Gaming, Microgaming and Play N Go.

For table and card game fans, there are around 50 titles to choose from, including automated games that use a random number generator to churn out wins and classic live dealer roulette, blackjack, and baccarat games. Rumour has it that a brand-new game with Vinnie Jones as a croupier is on the way to the Mr Green sister sites too! Gambling.com also named some of the top scratch card games which are often omitted from online casinos, they included Big Money Slingo Bonus, Genie Jackpots Instant, King Kong Instant, and Super Cash Buster.

: At this stage in the game, the gambling operator behind the Mr Green sister sites, 888 Holdings, has gotten into bed with just about everyone who matters in the iGaming industry. On Wednesday, the 26th of July, Yahoo Finance announced yet another promising partnership deal when the online publication confirmed that Braggs Gaming Group has signed a major distribution deal with 888 Holdings. After the announcement made its way around investment firms, the Braggs share prices received a sizeable bump of 4.01%. Following signing the contract, Braggs is expecting to launch its content on a global scale; William Hill will introduce UK players to the brand; Braggs will gain a presence in Italy and the Nordics via Mr Green, and 888 Casino will be responsible for establishing Braggs as a major player in the Italian market.

Mr Green 888 Holdings Bragg Gaming

Bragg Studios may not be a well-known name in the iGaming industry, but its most popular subsidiary iGaming team, Atomic Slot Labs, has won a fair amount of favour with slot fans in the past few years. The chief operating officer and president of Braggs Gaming Group, Lara Falzon, had plenty of enthusiasm to spare following the announcement of the new global distribution deal – if her press release is anything to go by. She rightly dubbed 888 Holdings as one of the most renowned operators in the gambling industry; she is especially excited to see her company’s games integrated into the William Hill game library, given its illustrious standing in the UK iGaming market.

: Currently, the Mr Green sister sites are running two free spin promotions, and both cater to their regular and loyal members. For lovers of classic online slot games, the first promotion gives 5 free spins on the iconic Play N Go game, Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead. To qualify for the free spins, opt into the promotion, and wager a minimum of £5 on the game. Once the staking requirements are fulfilled, your bonus spins will be instantly accredited to your account. This promotion will remain active until the 11th of July; until the promotion ends, players can qualify for the bonus spins each day and snag a maximum of 35 free spins. The free spins are valued at 10p each and expire within 24 hours of being issued. This promo is available to all players in the UK who deposit and wager with the GBP currency and haven’t previously been informed of any promotional restrictions.

The second promotion at Mr Green puts the same number of bonus spins on the table, however, the title you will be spinning is the latest game to arrive from the Big Bass franchise, Big Bass Amazon Xtreme. Unlike with the first promo, there is no staking requirement – you get to spin for free just for being a member of the casino. All you need to do is opt-in, accept the free spins, and load up the fishing-theme game; if you are lucky enough to hit a few winning spins, you will keep 100% of what you win!

: To sustain the popularity of the Big Bass online slot franchise, the Mr Green sister sites are inviting their members to play some of the top games in the franchise to reel in a share of a £7k prize pool by spinning against other members in a slot battle. To go head to head with other slot spinners, opt into the promotion and stake £10 on the participating slot game you think will come out on top. The slot that gets wagered on the most will be named the winning game, and if you have wagered on that game, you will win a share of the prize pot that will be distributed on the 28th of June after the promotion wraps up the day before. As there are five participating games, you have a 1 in 5 shot at reeling in a slice of the jackpot. The participating games include Big Bass Bonanza: Keeping it Real, Big Bass Bonanza Megaways, and the game which started the hype, Big Bass Bonanza.

It doesn’t matter how much you wager on your selected game, all winning players will receive an equal share of the jackpot, which might not be very sizeable, based on how popular this promotion has become on Mr Green, but at least it is a great excuse to take your favourite title for a spin! If you do win a share of the jackpot, it will be credited within 72 hours of the promotion closing. All prizes must be claimed within 30 days before they are forfeited.

: On the 7th of June, the online finance newspaper, This is Money published a market report on how 888, the owner of major UK betting brands such as William Hill and several other Mr Green sister sites, is onto a winner after the iGaming and retail gambling monoliths have seen a boost in their share prices. The reasons for the increases in share prices are plentiful, yet, financial trading experts are putting the soaring share prices down to the recent investment from the company FS Gaming Investments, who are clearly onto a winner with 888. After a recent investment, FS Gaming became the biggest shareholder in the gambling firm, causing the shares to rise by a whopping 25.6% – this marks the highest increase since January 2023. FS Gaming, which upped its stake in 888 to 7%, is a US-based investment company, which comprises veterans of the iGaming investment industry, including Stephen Morana, Lee Feldman, and Kenny Alexander.

Morana, Feldman and Alexander all have one thing in common, at some point during their financial trading careers, they all worked for the owner of Coral and Ladbrokes, Entain. Clearly, the iGaming trading business is a small world but these veterans perceptibly have what it takes to know when they are onto a winner. Their investment has spurred further interest from smaller financial investment firms, which can only mean brighter days ahead for the betting brands under the 888 Plc banner. After making the investment, Feldman stated that 888 is thoroughly undervalued, although that may soon be rectified in the market.

: This week, No Deposit Bonus Casino decided to give its view of Mr Green. Somewhat ironically, it failed to mention the no-deposit welcome offer, which consists of 20 free spins, but the reviewers did boost the signal on the first deposit offer, which grants 100 wager-free bonus spins on Big Bass Bonanza after a £10 deposit. The review covers how the site has changed hands in recent years, touching on how William Hill acquired the award-winning brand in 2019. Following that, the reviewers told the tale of Mr Green himself, who founded the casino after the orphan took a trip around the globe with his adoptive parents. His backstory is intended to be an emblem of possibility, which reflects the potential of banking life-changing wins via the site. After that heart-wrenching narration, the reviewer got into the slightly more formal matters of the licencing, safety and security; rest assured everything is squeaky-clean and above board.

Mr Green No Deposit Free Spins

The top content providers were listed as Red Tiger Gaming, Play N Go, NetEnt, Push Gaming, IGT and Yggdrasil, while the top games which never seem to go out of style at the casino include The Dog House, Vikings Go Berzerk, Legacy of Dead and Rise of Olympus. Overall, the site was given a 4.5 / 5-star review, however, the biggest ‘con’ was that there are multiple country restrictions in place, which shouldn’t be an issue for any player in the UK. On the plus side, there are exclusive live casino games, dual licencing, and trusted games.

: 888 Holdings PLC have given up the ghost on two of their Latvian betting brands, MrGreen.Lv and WilliamHill.Lv, much to the delight of the company Paf Consulting Abp, which has agreed to buy them. The agreement was signed and sealed on the 19th of May before the story was picked up by the iGaming news website, World Casino Directory, on the 22nd of May. 888 has assured members of the Latvian Mr Green sister sites that the workflow will remain intact, and for the foreseeable future, there will be minimal changes to the two companies. The final selling price of the two sportsbook casinos was 28.25 million Euros; for Paf, the initial payment will total 24 million Euros, while the rest of the cost is due to be paid by the end of 2024. As 888 owns over 90% of the shares in the two companies, the first payment is expected to cover corporate expenses; the entire transaction is 100% debt and cash free.

Even though the Latvian businesses are changing hands, for the time being, the Latvian licencing will remain in place as Paf will be given temporary permission to use the 888 licencing. The acquisition deal has been described as a huge achievement for Paf; the CEO sees ownership of the brands as a great long-term investment for the company, and the Executive Chair of 888 certainly wasn’t crying into his cornflakes, if his press release is anything to go by. He seemed to stand firm that it was the right decision for 888 after the company reviewed its asset base with a view into which assets made the most sense for their long-term strategies and provided maximum value to their investors.

:On May 14, Ace Odds reviewed the Mr Green platform, with a strong focus on the welcome offer, which was advertised as one that requires a promo code to unlock. However, this isn’t the case; anyone who heads over to the site this month will have the opportunity to deposit and stake £10 and receive 100 free games on the superlative fishing-themed title, Big Bass Bonanza by Pragmatic Play. The downside is that the free spin bonus has an expiry period of 72 hours, but the good news is that there are no wagering requirements to fulfil on the winnings from the free spins that are valued at 10p each. Once you have completed your new profile, you will be asked to verify your account via a verification code sent to your mobile; once your account is fully verified, you will be free to browse the available promotions.

Mr Green Promotions

The review also touched on the banking options and processes at the Mr Green sister sites. By their account, it takes five working days to withdraw funds to your debit card or bank account, and the withdrawal process is infinitely faster if you opt to use PayPal; your winnings can be with you in as little as two hours. However, there is another caveat. All withdrawals under £100 will incur a £1 withdrawal fee; for withdrawals of £100+, you will be charged 1%, up to a maximum of £10. Naturally, this lost Mr Green a fair few brownie points in the Ace Odds review, as most casinos and sportsbooks can stay afloat without allowing their members to incur such fees.

: On April 22, The Mr Green Ask Gamblers page was updated with a pretty damning complaint from a deservedly very disgruntled user. He described how he attempted to withdraw his winnings last Friday, but the casino is reluctant to pay out – even after he provided all of the necessary information and ID to facilitate the withdrawal. By his account, the support team keep asking for the same information over and over again in order to release his £400 in winnings, but every time he responds to one of their repetitive requests, the support team takes a further 24 hours to respond. Even when they do, they request the same information and ignore his complaints. Tired of corresponding via email, he went over to the live chat function, where another member of staff confirmed that all of the necessary information had been received, but he was still waiting for his winnings to drop into his bank account.

The Mr Green sister sites Trustpilot page proves that the user who posted on Ask Gamblers isn’t alone in his withdrawal woes. Just two days ago, a reviewer named Liam Cleary had the very same complaint. He has been waiting 11 business days to receive his funds, which Mr Green claims have already paid out, however, there is no sign of it in his bank account. At the time of writing, the 1-star review was left two days ago, and the casino is yet to respond to the complaint, which is poor form.

: After the exciting news of the Mr Green casino going live in Germany, it has been a fairly slow week for the colourfully verdant casino, but at least PR News Blog has done the casino a favour by spreading the word of the no-deposit deal, which provides 50 free games to players who create a new account. Risk-free promotions are a great way to check what an online casino is all about before spending your own hard-earned cash trying it out for size. Although, even if you win big with your free spins, you will have to be prepared to put it through the wagering requirements that ask you to wager your free spin winnings 35x before they can be withdrawn from the Mr Green sister sites. By the time you have completed the requirements, there isn’t much of a chance that there will be much of your winnings left!

Nevertheless, it is a great welcome package, and even more bonus freebies await you when you feel ready to make a real deposit. Currently, this promotion is only available to players in the UK, who are playing with a GBP balance. After completing the registration, you will need to opt in; if you refuse the promo, there’s no going back to redeem it. The free spins in question can only be used on the Lucky Mr Green slot game, which is 100% exclusive to the site; once you receive your bonus spins, you have 72 hours to use them or lose them.

: On March 30, iGaming Business announced that Mr Green has finally ventured over to Germany after the casino brand owner, 888, secured a gambling licence from the German equivalent to the UK Gambling Commission. The German version of Mr Green will be very similar to the experience that players in the UK can enjoy, as it runs on the same 888 platforms. The German launch also means that this is the first time that the casino brand will be available via a proprietary tech platform. The vice president and global managing director for 888, Amit Berkovich, commented on the German debut in a recent press release which outlined how Mr Green will have the honour of spearheading the brand in Germany along with several other Mr Green sister sites. The press release also iterated that the launch was a prime example of what an amalgam of dedication, collaboration and focus can deliver.

Mr Green Enters Germany

German casino fans didn’t need much encouragement to sign up to the new casino in their jurisdiction after it launched in late March. 888 seemed to be very self-congratulatory about the whole affair by describing the launch process as a powerful collaboration between a myriad of teams working under the 888 umbrella. Their speedy work resulted in a record being broken for new set-up speed. At least things seem to be going better for 888 in Germany; over in the UK, 888 is still feeling the sting from the William Hill Group UKGC fine, which also broke a record for the biggest fine incurred by the group.

: It only seems like yesterday when a new slot from the Bigg Bass Bonanza series was released, but Pragmatic Play and Reel Kingdom have compelled their fans to get their fishing rods ready for the brand-new game, Hold & Spinner, which has recently landed on the Mr Green sister sites. The playing symbols may feel familiar, but the developers found it within themselves to cook up a new relaxing backdrop, which is complemented by the serene soundtrack. When you ‘catch’ the fishy cash symbols in the main game, you will trigger the hold and spinner bonus feature, where you can net up to 2,000x your total bet, but the max win for this game is a very impressive 10,000x.

To trigger the FS feature, you will need three, four or five scatter symbols to land for you to receive ten, fifteen or twenty free games, respectively. When rolling the reels for free, the fishy symbols can be worth as little as 2x your wager or as much as 10,000x. In the free spin game, you will also notice a meter above the reels; every time a wild symbol drops into view, it will be added to the meter, which could lead to additional free games. If you get really lucky in this bonus feature, you can win up to 50 free games – that is plenty of time to get a big catch. Aside from the Hold and Spinner feature, there isn’t a lot to separate this game from its predecessors, but why mess with perfection?

: If you remember the iconic video game and mobile game, Plans Vs Zombies, where you would be quested with the mission of planting dangerous plants to stop zombie hoards from attacking, you are going to be thrilled at the prospect of playing the game for real cash. Although this time, it isn’t plants that are going up against the zombies, it is ‘granny’, in the hit online slot game, Granny vs Zombies, Lock N Win. For a limited time only, players at Mr Green can participate in a brand-new promotion, which is giving all players who give the zany game a spin a chance to win a share of a £7,000 prize pool. A minimum of £10 must be staked on the game for one entry into the prize draw, which will take place on Wednesday, the 22nd of March, after the promotional period wraps up on March 21st.

Mr Green Granny vs Zombies

There are no limits on how many prize draws can be collected, the more you spin, the higher your chances of grabbing one of the 307 prizes. With seven top prizes of £100, plus what you can stand to win as a part of the game, there is everything to play for! Before you start staking, ensure that you have opted in for the promotion, and keep in mind it is strictly one prize per participant. If you are a winner, you will receive your prize within 72 hours of being notified that you have won, and don’t forget to claim your prize within 30 days, lest it is re-accredited at Mr Green’s discretion.

: This week, the Financial Times shared the plight of the Austrian gamblers struggling to recoup their cash after losing money on technically illegal betting websites. Whilst the casino and sportsbook brand operators 888 and Flutter are considered above-board in the UK, in Austria, courts have ruled that the two iGaming giants have contravened the federal gaming monopoly. The country’s supreme courts have recently declared that the Mr Green sister sites must reimburse players. However, it would appear that the reimbursements have stopped. In recent months, the brands under the ownership of 888 have paid in excess of over eight million Euros; according to the legal groups and solicitors backing claimants, the refunds have ground to a halt.

Litigation financing firms and lawyers have been working on behalf of Austrian gamblers since 2019. However, the number of Austrian gamblers being reimbursed has skyrocketed in recent months, with 2,500 gamblers receiving refunds in January 2023 alone. Lawyers are now set to peruse enforcement action procedures in Maltese courts, where Flutter and 888 hold offices. One of the biggest offending sites is PokerStars, owned by Flutter, which reportedly withheld approximately 17 million Euros after choosing to only pay €1795 of its dues. While Mr Green is hanging onto the €12.6 million it is due to pay, and its sister site, William Hill, is refusing to let go of two-thirds of the €6.7 million it was expected to pay in lost judgements. Whichever way you look at it, it isn’t a good look for anyone involved!

: Even though Mr Green is a pretty popular casino in the UK, there aren’t many voices talking about it, and there is always plenty to talk about, given that the site is always mixing up its promotional offers. The media silence undoubtedly has plenty to do with the fact that it is no longer a sportsbook casino – just the latter for UK players! One of the best new promotions on the platform is the Monopoly Big Baller Live Promotion, which is giving participants the chance to win a slice of the £6k prize pot. After participants have opted in, they will receive a ticket to the prize draw after staking £10 or more on the live game. For every £10 spent on the game one entry will be awarded. However, it is worth noting that only one prize can be given away per customer. As the top prize is £100 in cold hard cash, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs until this promotion wraps up at midnight on February 28th.

Mr Green Monopoly Big Baller Live

If you are more of an online slot game fan instead of a live table game lover, Mr Green has you covered too! For a limited time only, the casino is giving away five free spins on the legendary game Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead by Play N Go. Usually, the casino brings new games into these kinds of promotions; notably, this week, they were feeling a little nostalgic for the classic game. After staking £5 on the hit title, players can take in 5 free games, worth 10p each.

Mr Green Review 2024

Mr Green began 2020 under the ownership of Mr Green Limited. By the end of the year, it belonged to the William Hill International Group. By the end of 2021 things had changed again, and it belonged to the 888 Group. It’s been a turbulent few years for the green casino, so how has it held up? It’s won awards in the past, but is it likely to win any in the future now it’s lost its independence?

Mr Green Welcome Promotions

One of the consequences of the recent change(s) of ownership at Mr Green is that the promotions have been watered down. There used to be a large matched deposit welcome offer at the casino, but it’s gone. Instead, players now get twenty free spins on the “Lucky Mr Green” slot when they sign up to the casino. The spins expire within 72 hours of registration, and come with an x35 wagering requirement. This is a no-deposit bonus.

Monthly Promotions at Mr Green

When Mr Green’s welcome offer was watered down, the casino’s ongoing promotions were watered down with it. The old VIP program that rewarded players for loyalty is no longer available. There are no ongoing monthly promotions at the casino as of the time of writing. However, there are smaller prizes to give players a little extra to play for.

Being dealt a “gold card” while playing Blackjack awards a spot prize of between £5 and £50. There’s a separate daily jackpot in the live casino section that must pay out once every 24 hours. The Pragmatic Play “Drops and Wins” tournaments offer a share of £500,000 in prize money each month, and there are some slot-specific promotions based around free spins or bonus funds.

Mr Green Pros and Cons

Mr Green gets a thumbs up for offering a welcome promotion without requiring a deposit in return. We’ve seen other casinos do this, but they usually impose a high wagering requirement on winnings achieved through the promotion. Mr Green keeps the wagering requirement down to x35, which is reasonable. It’s a safe, secure casino site that has won awards in the past, and offers access to almost the full spectrum of gambling options including sports betting.

Unfortunately, the list of good promotions starts and ends with the welcome offer. The remaining promotional offers are weak – especially if you’re a slots player and aren’t interested in the live casino. Customer support options are also quite limited, with no route available other than live chat via the website. On top of that, there are withdrawal fees. They’re low, but they’re there.

Featured Slots and Casino Games

The top featured slot at Mr Green casino at the time of writing is 5 Clans: The Final Battle by Reflex Gaming. It’s an epic fantasy slot with strong “Game of Thrones” influences, and was released in November 2021. The graphics look strangely dated for such a recent release, but there’s nothing dated about the free spins with multipliers, stacked wilds, respins, and random reel modifiers that could kick in at any time. RTP is 96.02% and volatility is high.

Eye of Horus: Eye of Horus has been a surprise success for Reel Time Gaming. It’s far from the prettiest Egyptian-themed slot on the block, but has managed to attract thousands of players through its combination of expanding wilds and upgradable symbols, which makes wins more valuable each times. Those wins are backed by 96.31% RTP, with average volatility.

Lucky Mr Green: This slot was created by Red Tiger specifically for Mr Green. You won’t find it on any other casino – not even the Mr Green sister sites. The slot is a deliberately old-school style five-reeler, but surprises players with modern twists like 3×3 mega symbols and a prize-picker feature where finding Mr Green’s hat is crucial to your success. RTP is 95.07%, and volatility is a touch above average.

Slots are by no means the be-all and end-all at Mr Green, with sports betting also on the menu along with live casino games and specialities like Keno and Reel Thrill. The only thing missing is bingo.

Deposits and Withdrawals

There’s a small but well-chosen range of accepted payment and withdrawal methods at Mr Green. You can use your Visa or Mastercard debit, a Neteller e-wallet, or Skrill. Some of the terms and conditions imply that PayPal might be accepted, but its logo isn’t featured anywhere on the site.

Mr Green tries to make e-wallet withdrawals instant where possible. Debit card withdrawals should clear in 1-3 business days, as should bank transfers.

Customer Support and Licensing

The only way to speak to a support agent at Mr Green is through live chat. You should find that there’s an operative available twenty-four hours a day.

Mr Green Casino holds a license with the UK Gambling Commission via Mr Green Limited.

Mr Green – The Verdict

Mr Green is not the casino it once was. The promotions that made it special have largely disappeared, and it’s doubtful it will ever be as big a priority to the 888 Group or the William Hill Group as it was to its original owners. That being said, it’s still a reasonably good casino with a nice no-deposit welcome offer and a fair range of gambling options. Feel free to play here – just don’t expect to be blown away.

Mr Green Sporting Sponsorships

Mr Green is undoubtedly one of the biggest casino companies in the UK, known by millions. Most casino companies that match that description have at least one active sponsorship in English football, but Mr Green isn’t like most companies. It’s been active in football shirt sponsorship recently, but not in England.

Football fans in Ireland have seen Mr Green’s name and logo a lot in recent times, as until recently they were the main shirt sponsor of Bohemians, the oldest Irish football team of them all. The sponsorship deal ended in 2020.

Mr Green Bohemians

Although not quite as visible, Mr Green has also been involved with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in recent years. The company didn’t go quite as far as sponsoring the famous green and white shirts of the legendary team, but they sponsor match days, VIP experiences, and merchandising partners of the Bhoys.

Away from football, Mr Green has been known to sponsor the occasional sporting event. Most notably, it sponsored the Professional Darts Corporation Players Championship Finals in 2017.

Working With A Cricketing Great

Although celebrity partnerships don’t seem to be the done thing at Mr Green, they made an exception for the former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan in 2017. The Ashes-winning sporting legend agreed to become Mr Green’s official “sports gent,” helping the brand to promote its sports betting platform in the UK.

As part of the deal, Vaughan repeatedly appeared in videos posted on Mr Green’s official YouTube channel as well as other media platforms. In most of his appearances, he gave his opinions and insight on forthcoming sporting events, including The Ashes. He even gave out the occasional betting tip!

Under New Ownership

For a long time, Mr Green was an independent company offering slots, casino games, and sports bets on its own terms from a base in Malta. The company was launched by three Swedish gaming veterans in 2008. That changed in 2019 when William Hill Plc bought out the successful brand. At the time, the value of the deal was reported to be £242m. It was a big-money deal for Mr Green’s owners and also a huge step forward for the brand. William Hill is one of the biggest names in betting but also one of the oldest. Mr Green was still seen as a young, up and coming company that could breathe fresh life into its new parent company.

A long and successful working partnership was probably envisaged when Mr Green was welcomed into the William Hill tent, but that’s not how things worked out. Just two years later, William Hill found itself up for sale. The non-American assets of the company – including Mr Green – were acquired by 888 in September 2021. This time, the purchase price was £2.2bn. Mr Green finds itself with another new owner – and their plans for the popular brand are yet to be seen. The name still has value, though, and there’s no reason to believe that 888 will want to do anything with the brand other than continue growing it.

Commercials Of The Past

Mr Green commercials used to be as regular as clockwork on British television. All of the commercials starred the same character, dressed impeccably in a green suit with a green bowler hat. The first commercial appeared in 2012, with the character sitting in a magic chair that could seemingly travel all over the universe at the push of a button. The most prominently featured casino game in the advert is NetEnt’s Starburst, which is a reminder of how long the iconic slot has been around for.

A second commercial began to air the following year, promoting the idea of being able to play Mr Green’s casino games on mobile devices no matter where you are. The bowler-hatted character is shown walking past windows projecting Mr Green content into people’s front room with a flick of his umbrella, and driving taxis and providing Mr Green games to the people in his back seat. By the time they aired their next major commercial campaign in 2016, the company had won the “mobile operator of the year” award from the IGA.

Mr Green Advert

There hasn’t been a televised Mr Green commercial since 2017. The last one was barely fifteen seconds long and showcased nothing more than a few of the online slots games available on the website. By that time, the company seemed to be more interested in sports sponsorships. There have been few Mr Green adverts of any kind since the business was sold to William Hill.

An Award-Winning Company

Prior to its acquisition by William Hill, Mr Green had made a happy habit out of winning awards. We’ve already mentioned the “mobile operator award” that it picked up in 2016. That’s just one of a clutch of awards that the casino brand likes to remind players about on its company website.

Mr Green was the IGA’s “online casino operator of the year” for three years running in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2014 it was also the EGR’s “casino brand of the year.” The IGA recognised Mr Green as the “online gaming operator of the year” in 2017 and the “socially responsible” casino brand of the year in 2018. The EGR gave the company an almost identical award in 2019 and also named them as the best mobile operator the same year. Mr Green hasn’t won an industry award since it lost its independence and became a William Hill brand. That might be something that 888 seeks to address in years to come.

Cleaning The Sea

At the risk of sounding cliched, Mr Green is a casino that’s green by name and green by nature. The casino announced a project called “Clean The Sea” in 2017, aimed at working towards cleaning up pollution and litter in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s a collaborative project that also involves the International Ocean Institute and the University of Malta.

The precise details of what Mr Green does as a company as part of the cleanup effort aren’t listed anywhere, but on its website, it talks about “committing to the cause” and spreading knowledge about environmental issues.
