When we say that OddsKing has sister sites plural rather than sister sites singular, we’re stretching the truth a little bit. The OddsKing sister sites are extensions of the main Betfred brand. Betfred might have made its name in the field of sports betting, but it’s a brand that’s changed with the times and now covers every aspect of iGaming. It hasn’t launched any standalone sites – OddKing being the exception – but has instead added minisites within the main Betfred website. One of them is Betfred Bingo, which offers more bingo rooms than some entire websites that are dedicated to the numbers game. Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited, the parent company of Betfred, launched OddsKing in 2018. The site offers casino, live casino and sports betting facilities. Given that all of those things already exist at Betfred, there was no clear reason for launching another site. As the only site on the Petfre network that isn’t Betfred-branded, OddsKing is an oddity. Does it offer anything that Betfred doesn’t, thus making it worth a visit? Find out by reading this review.

OddsKing Welcome Offers

We won’t beat around the bush – OddsKing doesn’t offer any welcome promotions. The idea behind OddsKing seems to be that it would become a streamlined casino, providing fast access to slots, games and sports betting odds but dispensing with extras like promotions and loyalty rewards. If you’re looking for a red carpet welcome at OddsKing, you’re going to be sorely disappointed.

Ongoing Promotions

This won’t come as much of a surprise if you’ve read the above paragraph, but OddsKing doesn’t really “do” ongoing promotions. In fact, when you open the promotions page on the casino’s website, the first thing you’ll see is a safer gambling notice. As of the time of writing, there are no promotions (ongoing or otherwise) for anybody wishing to use OddsKing to play casino games. Things are a little better for sports betters, as there’s a “bet £5 pre-match and get free £5 in-play” bet offer, along with a “best odds guaranteed” promotion for horse racing and a “one winner bonus” for the same sport. There’s nothing of any significance, though, and certainly nothing that’s going to make a huge difference to the value of any of your bets.

OddsKing Pros and Cons

Pros: 

OddsKing offers full-service customer support via email, live chat and telephone. That’s the standard that all online casinos should aspire to, and we’ll applaud it every time we see it. 

As a “no frills” casino, OddsKing allows fast access to all of its games with no distractions or sticky bonuses. 

Cons: 

All withdrawal requests at OddsKing are subject to a 48-hour review period before the money is sent. That means instant withdrawals are impossible, and withdrawals are slow in general. 

The near-total lack of bonuses and loyalty rewards makes OddsKing feel like a very vanilla site. 

Featured Slots and Casino Games

The overall range of slots and games at OddsKing isn’t fantastic. It’s a trimmed-down version of Betfred, offering the same basic services but on a smaller scale. The casino offers sports betting, live casino games with real dealers, slots, and regular lottery draws, but the slots are the first thing you’ll see when you arrive on the OddsKing homepage. There’s a “popular games” section to tell you what other players at the site are enjoying at the moment, and here’s what we found in it when we visited. 

Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx: Stormcraft Studios takes us on a cartoon adventure to ancient Egypt in this slot, which was released in late 2019 with high volatility and 96.3% RTP. Aside from its stunning graphics, the slot also offers “multiplier trails” during free spins, which can boost the value of wins by up to x20. The same feature is also active during the base game, although the rewards aren’t quite as high when the free spins feature isn’t in play. 

Immortal Romance: This classic vampire-themed slot has been doing big business for Games Global (formerly Microgaming) for over a decade after going live in 2011. It was one of the first-ever online slots to feature a “story mode,” with character-driven bonus features and a different free spins bonus feature attached to each of the four main characters. It’s starting to look a little dated, but the slots remain popular today because of its big x12150 jackpot. RTP is 96.86%, and volatility is so high that you ought to be wary of it. 

Book of Oz – Lock and Spin: The original Wizard of Oz-themed Book of Oz slot was a massive hit for Triple Edge Studios, so it was no surprise to see them revisit the source material for this 2019 sequel. This time around, you can lock up to four reels at once if you so desire, thus giving you a whole lot more control over the flow of the game. If you’re not a fan of the expanding symbols that are randomly selected when the free spins feature triggers, you can reshuffle them once before you begin in the hope of increasing their potential. RTP is 96.35%, with high volatility. 

Deposit Methods and Withdrawals

There isn’t a lot of clarity over payment and withdrawal processes at OddsKing, but what we do know isn’t good. For a start, the only accepted payment methods at the casino are Visa and Mastercard debit. That means no e-wallets, no instant bank transfer services, and no voucher cards. Given that an increasing number of players prefer to use PayPal, Neteller or other e-wallets for the sake of speed and convenience, OddsKing is more than a little behind the times. The FAQ section of OddsKing says that withdrawal requests are subject to a 48-hour pending period for reviews and checks to be carried out, plus whatever processing time it takes for your bank to get the money to you. In other words, you can forget about any notion of getting your money quickly.

Customer Care Support and Licensing

We couldn’t ask for more in terms of the way OddsKing handles customer support. If you’re in need of help, you can call the casino on 0800 030 9156, email them at [email protected], or use live chat. The licence that covers the casino’s operations is held with the UK Gambling Commission by Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited but isn’t clean. The company has had regulatory actions taken against it in 2019 and 2022 and was fined almost £3m on the latter occasion.

OddsKing – The Verdict

OddsKing is a slightly vanilla but perfectly serviceable sports betting and casino website. However, the question we set out to answer when we started this review was why any player would come here when they could play at Betfred instead. The answer is that they wouldn’t. Betfred offers everything OddsKing offers but does it with better promotions and faster payments. OddsKing is an average casino site in the shadow of a great one.
