Spreadex Sister Sites 2024

This is going to be a short section. Spreadex Limited is so named because it’s the entity behind the Spreadex website. The operator was named for the website that it operates, and the website that it operates is singular. There are no Spreadex sister sites. The main Spreadex website has been online since 1999, but not once during that time has it ever occurred to Spreadex Limited to add another betting site or casino to its portfolio. The closest we get to the idea of a Spreadex sister site is that the homepage of Spreadex offers players a choice between the sports betting section of Spreadex and the financial trading of Spreadex, both of which have their own dedicated mini-site. If any further sites are ever added to the operator’s portfolio, you’ll hear about it here. In the meantime, we invite you to check out the casinos above or read more about Spreadex below.

Spreadex Review 2024

Spreadex isn’t like 99.9% of iGaming sites you’ll encounter on your online gambling travels. It launched in 1999, and if we’re honest, nothing like it has ever been launched since save for possibly the sports betting exchange at Betfair. For the sake of clarity, we’ll be specific about what we’re reviewing here – it’s the sports betting and casino side of Spreadex, not the financial trading side. You’ll be asked which version of Spreadex you want to see when you arrive on its homepage for the first time, so if you want to enter the financial trading side, you’ll be stepping outside our purview. If you’re interested in what Spreadex has to offer from an iGaming perspective, though, read on.

Spreadex Welcome Promotions

Before we get into the meat of the Spreadex welcome promotions, we’re slapping the site on the wrist for not listing the terms and conditions of its promotions on the banners that advertise them on its homepage. Hiding basic terms is rude to customers, not to mention that the regulator is known to take a dim view of it. Upon opening the “promotions” tab, though, you’ll find that there are two welcome promotions available at Spreadex – one for those who are interested in fixed-odds betting and one for those who are interested in spreads.

To claim the fixed-odds betting welcome promotion, sign up, make a deposit and then bet £25 on a fixed odds event with odds of 1/2 or greater. In return, you’ll receive bonuses with a total value of £50, comprising five free £5 fixed odds bets, four £5 spread bets and fifty free spins to use on the Starburst slots game in the Spreadex casino. No wagering requirements are attached to any aspect of this promotion, which is great.

The welcome promotion for spread bettors is substantially different. Sign up and place a £10 bet on a spread betting event with minimum 1/2 odds to receive two free £5 Total Goals spread bets plus cashback on selected bets up to a maximum value of £300. To get the £300, you’ll need to stake £300 or more on spread betting markets within 28 days of joining Spreadex and configuring your account for spread betting. You can request a 9th-generation iPad instead of the cashback by contacting customer support if you’d prefer.

Other Promotions

All the other promotions at Spreadex are related to sports betting, which tells you how much of an afterthought the Spreadex casino is. Arguably, the most attractive of them is the opportunity to boost Acca winnings up to 75% by adding multiple entries to your coupon. You’d have to be either clairvoyant or the luckiest person in the world to claim the full 75% in victory, though – it’s only available to those who make sixteen or more selections. Smaller percentage boosts are available for those who’d prefer to make fewer selections and stand a better chance of winning.

While players or potential players should check the promotions page at Spreadex Sports to get the full lowdown on all the promotions the site has to offer, there’s another that’s worthy of note: the “Spread-free Bets” promotion. To get it, players should place three spread bets on qualifying markets within the same sport, all within ten minutes of each other. A fourth bet can then be placed on the same market spread-free at the mid-point of the spread. The offer can be claimed multiple times.

Pros and Cons of Spreadex

Pros: You could make a strong case that no other betting site in the UK focuses on or specialises in spread betting as much as Spreadex does. The promotions at the site are powerful and specific, and the full range of customer care options available means that players are always looked after. Debit card withdrawals are processed within two hours of a request being made, which is supremely quick.

Cons: While withdrawals might be quick, there are comparatively few withdrawal methods to choose from. Players can withdraw to their debit card via bank transfer or ask for a cheque (how quaint). There’s no support for methods like Trustly nor any e-wallets. The casino at Spreadex is weak and devoid of promotions, but we can’t imagine that’s an issue for most people who come to the site.

Top Games at Spreadex

Having mentioned the incidental nature of the Spreadex casino a couple of times in this review, it wouldn’t make sense to make a feature of it now. It’s so tertiary to the main Spreadex website that it may as well not be there. It comes with a small selection of slots and no promotions, and we suspect that most players never engage with it. The focus of Spreadex is spread betting and sports betting, so this can be considered the site’s “top game.”

Like many UK-facing sports betting sites, Spreadex leads with football. That doesn’t have to be English Premier League football or even English football in general – you’ll see whatever’s happening at the moment of your visit in the middle of the homepage, whether that’s Saudi football or football happening anywhere else in the world. After football, the rough order of priority at Spreadex is racing, then rugby, then greyhound racing, then virtual sports betting. Cricket and tennis aren’t considered as important as virtual sports betting, which says a lot about their standing among bettors at Spreadex. Tips on spread betting are easy to find on the Spreadex blog if you’re new to the concept or don’t know where to start.

Withdrawal Processing & Support

We touched on this above while we were talking about the pros and cons of Spreadex, but the long and short of it is that Spreadex offers speed but not a lot of choice. So long as your debit card is capable of handling fast withdrawals, you should get your money within two hours of asking for it. You might even get it instantly. If you don’t want to use a debit card, you can ask for a bank transfer and wait 2-5 working days for your money or ask for a cheque and wait even longer. No other withdrawal methods are currently supported by the site, which is something it might want to consider working on in the near future.

Customer Services & Licensing

Getting in contact with Spreadex is easy. If you’d like to speak to someone over the phone, you can call the company on 01727 895000. Live chat is available at all times via the button that appears in the corner of the website, or you can send emails to [email protected]. In terms of licensing, the site is covered by the UK Gambling Commission licence that Spreadex Limited holds under reference no. 8835. The operator voluntarily paid £1.36m after being deemed guilty of breaching its licence in August 2022, further details of which can be found in the table above. There are no Spreadex sister sites at present, but should any appear in the future, they’ll be covered by the same licence.

Spreadex – The Verdict

You know exactly what you’re getting with Spreadex. It’s an iGaming site that was built with one purpose in mind, and it serves that purpose very well. The casino side of it isn’t up to much, but very few Spreadex users will care about that. The quality of customer care that Spreadex offers is very good, and the speed at which it processes withdrawals is excellent. If it added a few more withdrawal options and expanded its casino, it could escape the niche it’s currently confined to and become one of the UK’s biggest iGaming sites.

What are players saying about Spreadex?

Here are our condensed / reader’s digest summaries of recent player reviews of Spreadex.

  • 24-Oct-2023 by Nick:
Absolutely shocking company. After I made some winnings on cricket, they limited my stakes and eventually stopped them altogether. However, they still let me bet on their high-risk casino. They even stopped allowing me to bet over the phone. They’re nothing but thieves. – source: Trustpilot
  • 18-Oct-2023 by Rhys:
It’s a great site that’s easy to use and offers fantastic bonuses. I’ve had a really positive experience. – source: Trustpilot
  • 15-Oct-2023 by We Took Alpha:
The RTP on the slots is terrible. I’ve deposited a fair amount and won absolutely nothing. You might as well just throw your money away. – source: Trustpilot
  • 15-Oct-2023 by JS:
Registration and deposits were smooth, but withdrawing is a nightmare. They’re withholding my winnings of £1,414, claiming issues with my debit card’s address. They didn’t have a problem when I was making deposits, though. Customer service keeps saying they’re looking into it, but nothing happens. – source: Trustpilot
  • 14-Oct-2023 by Roger:
I’m really impressed with Spreadex’s fixed odds sports betting, especially for Horse Racing and Rugby Union. Their “Build a Bet” feature for the Rugby World Cup is innovative and gives punters a good chance to win. The site is easy to navigate, customer service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and efficient. – source: Trustpilot
  • 14-Oct-2023 by Anthony:
The prices are good, but the lack of Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) puts me off. That’s why I use this site less frequently. – source: Trustpilot
  • 14-Oct-2023 by Marc:
The people here are always kind, informed, and helpful. They show respect at all times, which I really appreciate. – source: Trustpilot

The Spreadex site is easy to use, and if I ever have a query, the staff are easy to contact and very helpful. – source: Trustpilot

The app is easy to use, responsive, and timely. I’ve never had any issues or hassles while using it. – source: Trustpilot
