William Hill Casino Sister Sites

It’s been a wild few years for William Hill Casino and the William Hill sister sites. At the start of 2022, WHG International was in acquisition mode and purchased Mr Green. By the end of 2022, WHG International itself had been sold to 888 Holdings. That made 888 Casino one of the William Hill Casino sister sites, although it might be more accurate to say that the relationship works the other way around. William Hill Casino has gone from being a standalone site to being a section within the main William Hill website. In the process, it’s absorbed William Hill Vegas, which used to be one of its most popular sister sites. Information about the remaining William Hill Casino sister sites can be found below.

William Hill

William Hill logo

William Hill isn’t really a William Hill Casino sister site. Instead, William Hill is the enormous sports betting website that hosts William Hill Casino. There was a time when William Hill Casino was a standalone website that was accessed on a totally different URL from the rest of the William Hill group, but those days are over, and the brand has been taken in-house. We imagine all of you know what William Hill’s main line of business is already, but we’ll say it for the benefit of those who don’t. William Hill is a sports betting company and is one of the oldest and most cherished in the world. William Hill has been taking bets since the 1930s and has spread out across Europe and even reached the United States of America now that sports betting is allowed there. Brands like William Hill Vegas and William Hill Casino might be added, and sites like Mr Green might be acquired, but the sportsbook you’ll find on this website will always be at the core of everything that William Hill does. Even after all this time, it’s still one of the most popular in the UK.

888 Casino

888 Casino logo

The sight of 888 Casino on a list of William Hill Casino sister sites might surprise a few of you, but there’s a genuine connection between the sites. In September 2021, 888 confirmed the acquisition of William Hill International in a deal that was cited as being worth £2.2bn. That makes the 888 Group the ultimate owners of all the William Hill brands and also makes 888 Casino a perfectly valid William Hill Casino sister site. The 888 Group operates well over one hundred casinos, online slots sites and bingo sites, but we’ve chosen 888 Casino because it’s the company’s flagship. This is the most important site on the 888 UK Ltd network, and so it’s where you can expect to find 888 at its best. It’s a huge casino site bursting at the seams with games and promotions and also functions as a portal for access to the other 888 branded casino pages like 888 Sports and 888 Bingo.

Mr Green

Mr Green logo

To say it’s been a turbulent few years for the Mr Green brand would be an understatement. Up until January 2019, Mr Green was a standalone casino website operated by Mr Green Limited. That changed when the William Hill Group purchased Mr Green from its Scandinavian owners for £242m. Just as the staff at Mr Green Limited were getting used to having new bosses and working under the umbrella of a larger company, the 888 Group swooped in and bought out the William Hill Group. That leaves Mr Green Limited as the third link on a chain that begins with the 888 Group and makes us wonder whether the popular casino site will still be treated as the premier brand we know it as. For now, though, Mr Green is still as vibrant and busy as ever and offers the same range of casino games and live sports betting opportunities that it always has. The range of products available at Mr Green is very similar to the range of products available at William Hill Casino – which makes Mr Green a well-matched William Hill Casino sister site.

William Hill Casino News

: Gambling Insider recently reported a significant development in the gaming industry: Play’n Go has formed a partnership with the Italian arm of William Hill. This collaboration is aimed at expanding Play’n Go’s presence in Italy, marking a major move for both entities in the European gaming market. Earlier in the year, Play’n Go had already partnered with William Hill to introduce the popular game “Book of Dead” into William Hill’s Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs) across the UK. This new agreement extends their collaboration to the Italian market, where William Hill players will now have access to Play’n Go’s extensive portfolio of games. Notable titles such as “Rise of Olympus” and “Reactoonz” are included in this expansion, promising to enhance the gaming experience for Italian players.

William Hill Playn Go Partnership

Michele Stefanelli, Sales Leader for LatAm and Southern Europe at Play’n Go, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasising the importance of the Italian market to the company. Their statement highlighted Play’n Go’s commitment to providing Italian players with a top-notch online casino experience. This partnership with William Hill Casino sister sites is seen as a significant step towards achieving this goal. Valerio Micchio, Head of Commercial at William Hill, shared similar sentiments. He expressed excitement about adding Play’n Go games to their portfolio and viewed the partnership as a natural progression to expand their presence in the region. The existing relationship between the two companies is expected to pave the way for further success in Italy. This partnership is a testament to Play’n Go’s growing influence in the gaming industry. Last month, the company announced a record-breaking achievement, with nearly a quarter of a billion rounds played on its system on November 1st, setting an all-time high since its inception in 2005.

: This week, William Hill Casino sister sites are spotlighting their exciting slot game, The Goonies™: Hey You Guys! with a special promotion called the ‘Strike Gold Spotlight’. This promotion offers players the chance to win a share of a £10,000 prize pool, with instant cash prizes ranging from £1 to £200, which can drop at any moment during gameplay. To participate in this promotion, players need to place a minimum stake of 10p on the slot game. If a player wins a prize during their spin, a pop-up animation will appear, providing details of the prize and instructions on how to claim it. If no prize is won, there will be no pop-up animation. This promotion runs from 09:00:01 on 13th December 2023 until 23:59:59 on 19th December 2023 and is exclusively available on the Goonies slot game.

Winners are selected randomly, ensuring every entry has an equal chance of winning. All stakes placed on the game during the promotional period are eligible for this promotion. However, the promotion is only available to customers located in the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, and Jersey. It’s important to note that players can cancel their participation in the promotion at any time by contacting William Hill’s Customer Services. The promotion also has certain restrictions to ensure fair play, such as prohibiting minimal risk wagering patterns, using more than one account per person, household, or IP address, and other forms of unfair play. Overall, this promotion offers an exciting opportunity for players to enjoy the slot game while having a chance to win a share of a generous prize pool.

: This week, the Best Casino Sites spotlight is on William Hill Casino, a renowned name in the UK’s online gambling scene, known for its longevity and widespread appeal. It’s a profile piece on the brand and website, and it goes like this. Established in 1934, William Hill has evolved into a significant player in the global market, offering a blend of high-quality games, generous promotions, robust security measures, and a user-friendly website. William Hill’s online platform boasts over 300 slots and 110 table games, with a mobile app featuring 300+ titles and more than 100 live dealer tables. The casino’s primary software provider is Playtech, renowned for its high-quality and innovative games. However, the platform’s reliance on a few software providers and a limited selection of bonuses and poker games are noted drawbacks. Despite these limitations, William Hill’s strengths are significant. The casino offers a dedicated mobile app, ensuring a seamless gaming experience across devices. The interface is quick and responsive, making navigation and game selection effortless. The casino’s game library is constantly updated with new releases, ensuring a fresh and diverse gaming experience.

William Hill positive review

In addition to casino games, William Hill provides a comprehensive gambling experience with poker, bingo, and sports betting products. The sports betting platform covers a wide range of events and markets, while the poker section hosts regular tournaments and supports popular games. Payment methods at William Hill are diverse, including debit cards, e-wallets, and bank transfers, ensuring secure and convenient transactions. Customer support is available 24/7 through live chat, email, and phone, providing fast, helpful, and polite assistance. In conclusion, William Hill Casino stands out as a premium gambling destination, offering a wide range of high-quality games, reliable customer support, and a secure platform.

: 888 Holdings, the owner of the William Hill Casino sister sites, experienced a notable surge in its share prices this week, climbing by 17.5% following the rejection of a £700 million takeover bid from Playtech. This bid, made in July, proposed a price of 156p per share, which was ultimately deemed insufficient by 888 Holdings, as reported by The Sunday Times. Prior to this takeover bid, 888 Holdings had seen a 30% decline in its share value over the past year, with shares closing at 70.6p last week. However, following the news of the rejected offer, the shares are now approximately 17% lower than their value before the dip. This shift in market sentiment reflects the resilience of 888 Holdings in the face of heightened gambling regulations, which have recently been implemented, impacting the company’s revenue. For the three months ending in September, revenue decreased to £405 million from £449.4 million in the same period the previous year, with a 10% decline in its UK and Ireland business to £157.2 million.

The company, led by Labour peer Lord Mendelsohn and gambling industry expert Per Widerstrom, faced challenges when 888 was removed from the FTSE 250. Despite these hurdles, 888 Holdings, which owns a range of online bingo and casino firms, had previously invested nearly £2 billion in acquiring bookmaker William Hill in 2022. This development underscores the robustness of 888 Holdings in the gambling sector, particularly in light of the recent regulatory changes. The company’s decision to reject Playtech’s bid suggests a strong belief in its own value and potential, despite the challenging environment.

: During Safer Gambling Week, 888, William Hill, and BetMGM have come together to discuss the importance of safer gambling, particularly in retail environments. The collaboration, highlighted in a blog on the 888 site with contributions from Mark McCaffrey, William Hill’s Head of Compliance Policy for Retail & Sportsbook, focuses on the unique aspects of in-person safeguarding in gambling establishments. One key innovation introduced by William Hill Casino sister sites is a new system for staff to report changes in customer behaviour, such as variations in spending, frequency of visits, or time spent gambling. This system provides a more personal and early warning mechanism, similar to one employed by online operators. Additionally, staff can record customer interactions and decisions, enhancing the effectiveness of this approach.

William Hill Casino Safer Gambling Week

William Hill has also implemented a new affordability strategy, encouraging staff to engage with customers to ensure their gambling remains sustainable. Looking ahead to 2024, the operator plans to introduce technology-driven solutions to identify markers against a harm model, aiding staff in making informed decisions. Furthermore, 888 has partnered with BetKnowMore to develop a new training program for its Cluster Operations Managers (COMs). This initiative aims to enhance the skills and awareness of staff in identifying and addressing gambling-related harm. BetMGM’s research sheds light on the perceptions and behaviours of younger gamblers in the UK. Key findings include that over half of UK gamblers view the money in their gambling accounts differently from their bank accounts. Additionally, 92% of players aged 18-24 set monetary limits on their gambling, 46% transfer gambling winnings to their savings, 26% use winnings to place another bet immediately, and 19% often chase their gambling losses.

: In a significant development for online gamblers, 888 Holdings, the operator behind the esteemed betting platform William Hill, has inked a partnership with TrueLayer to revolutionise withdrawal processes for its users. The new system is primed to expedite the withdrawal experience, bringing it down to mere hours — a stark improvement over the traditional days-long wait times. This enhancement is not only expected to gratify those who enjoy the thrills of slot games but also to greatly benefit sports bettors who eagerly await their winnings post-match. This collaboration stands as a testament to 888 Holdings’ commitment to user experience and modernisation. By leveraging TrueLayer’s open banking infrastructure, which allows secure, direct connections with users’ bank accounts, the betting giant ensures a streamlined, safer, and more efficient transfer of funds. The traditional hurdles of card and manual bank transfers, often laden with delays and lacking in transparency, are effectively bypassed through this technological advancement.

From casual players to the most dedicated slot spinners and football gamblers, this development promises to enhance the satisfaction levels of all players across the spectrum. Faster access to funds means more fluid gaming experiences and the ability to manage winnings with unprecedented speed. Furthermore, this step by William Hill Casino sister sites and 888 Holdings indicates a broader shift within the online gambling sector towards embracing fintech solutions that prioritize consumer needs, security, and operational efficiency. It’s a progression that sets the bar higher for competitors and points towards a future where instant financial transactions may become the norm in online gaming, thereby enriching the overall experience for players across the United Kingdom.

: As signalled by Gambling Insider on the 25th of October, the landscape of betting entertainment is set for a refreshing shake-up as Racing Post has teamed up with one of the industry’s titans for a new venture. The Gambling Insider article advised sports fans to brace themselves for the premiere of a brand-new betting show, crafted in collaboration with one of the William Hill Casino sister sites, William Hill, which never fails to garner more attention than its sister sites. The first episode of this game-changing show graced screens on the Racing Post’s YouTube channel and their official website at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the 28th of October.

William Hill Sponsors Racing Post

Designed to be both educational and entertaining, the format promises to encapsulate viewers with a mix of expert analysis, exciting interviews, and the latest industry insights, ensuring every minute is worth the watch. And here’s where it gets even better. The show won’t be short on star power. With Tom Collins leading the charge as the main host, he’s joined by a stellar team, including the insightful Graham Dench and the ever-knowledgeable Dave Orton. Their collective expertise guarantees that viewers will be treated to top-notch commentary, strategic breakdowns, and perhaps even a few chuckles along the way. This promising collaboration is a testament to Racing Post’s commitment to enhancing the betting experience for its audience. It promises to be more than just another show — it’s an event you won’t want to miss! Keep tuning in every week to make your horse betting game your A-game.

: The profit warning issued by the owner of the William Hill Casino sister sites was brought up again this week in an article published by the Financial Times on the 13th of October, which documented the downfall of one of the biggest online bingo sites in Europe. The bingo site in question is none other than Tombola, which has recently revealed that 250 jobs from within the company are currently at risk – we can imagine there have been plenty of sleepless nights for the Tombola workforce since the announcements were made public. Tombola has informed its staff members that the company is attempting to find ways to save on costs after the takeover from the betting giant Flutter Entertainment didn’t exactly go to plan following the 2021 acquisition.

The Sunderland, UK-headquartered company was kind enough to give its workforce a heads-up via an email and a staff meeting held on Friday the 13th before going public with the damning press statement, which also confirmed that Flutter would try to deploy staff members into other areas of their workforce. The jobs most at risk are within the customer service department; with the company currently having 700 employees, that drastic cut to the workforce would undoubtedly result in a drop in service for any Tombola members. The number of chat moderators is expected to drop from 250 to 100, and further severance pay packets might be in the post for staff members who act as safe play advisers. The remaining staff will certainly have their hands full if the plans go ahead!

: Price boosts on sportsbooks attract sports bettors like moths to a flame. While most online bookmakers roll them out every now and again, especially when a major sporting event rolls around, some bookmakers are vastly better at boosting odds and the subsequent winnings than others. This week, talkSPORT published the ultimate buyer’s guide to price boosts, including a directory of which bookmakers offer the best boosts. One of the biggest sports-focused William Hill Casino sister sites, William Hill was rated as one of the best bookies for enhanced odds, as it is unparalleled when it comes to boosting multi-bets and trebles. It is always worth keeping your eyes peeled for enhanced odds when browsing the betting markets as sometimes the bookmaker can keep them well hidden.

William Hill TalkSport Review

Other reasons for sports fans to check out William Hill include the great website experience, which starts with the welcome package of £30 free bets for all eligible new members who deposit and wager £10 on a qualifying bet. The only downside is that some of the non-boosted bets aren’t as competitive as what you will find on other bookies. If this is too much of a deal-breaker for you, you could always consider checking out Betway instead, which puts all of its boosted odds in one convenient place. Alternatively, if you prefer to have a flutter on horse races as opposed to football matches, Unibet is quite literally your best bet – super boosts frequently become available for all the big races in the UK and Ireland.

: When it comes to William Hill Casino sister sites, few get a look-in with the flagship sports betting brand stealing the show via their incredible odds and offers. This week, the rugby writer for the Independent provided a full betting preview in anticipation of the England v Chile match, including tips, predictions, and odds, and you can safely bet your bottom dollar that William Hill came out on top as one of the best sportsbooks in the UK for the Rugby World Cup action. Although, that isn’t to say William Hill wasn’t without competition from the usual suspects; especially as Betway is running 15 / 2 odds on England winning by 41 – 45 points and Bet365 is inviting its members to wager on the first half of the match being the highest scoring half at 13 / 10 odds.

As the match against Chile will be the third fixture for the England team, rugby tipsters have had enough of an opportunity to analyse their form and see how it stacks up against their opponents; after back-to-back wins against Japan and Argentina, naturally, betting experts are anticipating England to make a hat trick out of their winning streak. Expectations of the England team are especially high, especially after they have reached the finals four times and Chile are novices on the pitch in comparison. Time will tell if they can live up to their legacy, and to be precise, that time will be 4:45 p.m. on Saturday when they head to Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille.

: After coming to almost reputation-ruining blows with the ASA over an old Twitter post, there is better news from within the William Hill camp this week. Gambling Insider and Yogonet have both revealed how the iGaming developer Pragmatic Play has extended its partnership with the William Hill Casino sister sites by rolling out its suite of live casino games, which can now also be enjoyed on Channel 5. The developer of slot games, innovative game shows and classic table and card games will eventually run out of facets of the gaming industry to dominate, until then, we are happy to report that there are new live casino games to look forward to from Pragmatic Live, which will be available across the William Hill sister site network and beyond.

William Hill Casino Pragmatic Play Partnership

If the forthcoming Vegas Ball Bonanza is half as immersive and rewarding as their seminal live games, including Sweet Bonanza CandyLand and Mega Ball, casino fans will want to mark the date of the debut on their calendars. Even though Pragmatic has supplied William Hill with its superlative video slot games since 2017, a spokesperson from the press team still felt inclined to provide a press statement on the new partnership expansion. Irina Cornides championed the gambling firm as a huge global brand that never needs an introduction; she also expressed her excitement, which stemmed from the prospect of rolling out the hybrid and classic games across all William Hill platforms, which serve the iGaming community in the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Sweden.

: One of the William Hill Casino sister sites, William Hill, has avoided coming to further blows with the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) after the ASA initially deemed one of the gambling firm’s Twitter adverts as unsuitable as it apparently appealed to people under the age of 18. On the 23rd of August, Casino Guardian announced that the ASA published an additional ruling that contributes to a wider piece of legislation that has been drafted to crack down on unlawful gambling adverts that may pique the interest of minors. After deliberation and discussion with the gambling firm, the watchdog announced that it chose to leave the William Hill ad in place after it was identified for investigation by the Active Ad Monitoring system.

The ad in question, which was posted in February 2023, depicted the image of the popular footballer, Robbie Savage, with the William Hill logo and the Be Gamble Aware banner. Once the ad was flagged, the gambling operator was challenged by the ASA before the ASA decided that the advert was unlikely to be appealing to minors. They reached their decision by investigating the social media presence of Robbie Savage, and his football career. Seemingly, William Hill only got off scot-free as Robbie Savage hasn’t played in the English Premier League in the past 15 years, he doesn’t have a presence on any of the social media platforms that mostly appeal to under 18s, such as Twitch, Snapchat and TikTok, and the social platforms he does use are only followed by a minority of minors.

: Watching the 1995 urban fantasy film Jumanji may have given you the fear of the new live game that has recently debuted across all reputable UK online casinos, but considering that the William Hill Casino sister sites are inviting all their registered members to roll the dice in the live Jumanji game show to be in with a chance of winning a slice of a £10k prize pot, that is a fair enough incentive to get the dice rolling. Jumanji The Bonus Level is an action-packed escapade that delivers some truly wild action, but your live host will be a better guide than Robin Williams ever was. Instead of getting your house trashed by a stampeding herd, you will get your chance to win cash prizes of £2 – £1,000 – on top of what you win in the gameplay itself.

William Hill Casino Jumanji Live

To get involved, head over to the live games lobby, load up the game and roll the dice; if you are a winner, you will be informed via a pop-up that will let you all you need to know about claiming your prize, including how to cash the prize money. You will have until midnight on the 23rd of August to participate in the promotion; if you miss the promotional window, you can always check out the other range of promotions available at William Hill Casino. The platform always goes out of its way to ensure it covers all promotional bases to cater for every kind of player; from free spins to bingo tickets, it is promo galore.

: If you hate hanging around waiting for your winnings after the odds have worked in your favour, you may want to turn your attention to talkSPORT’s ultimate buyer’s guide to fast-paying online bookmakers in August 2023. In addition to choosing a sportsbook that has a reputation for making banking quick and painless, you will also want to do your due diligence on which are the fastest withdrawal methods. Typically, the fastest withdrawal methods include Neteller, Skrill, Trustly and PayPal, however, this can vary from casino to casino. The only thing that stands across the sportsbook board is that withdrawing winnings via debit cards and bank transfers typically takes a few days.

In addition to checking the withdrawal speeds, talkSPORT also considered a variety of other factors that are all crucial to facilitating a good online betting experience, including safety and security, bonuses, fair odds, and how helpful and available the customer service department is. 20 sportsbooks were recommended based on their pay-out speeds, including plenty of the William Hill sister sites. The top four positions went to BetUK, Spreadex, talkSPORT BET (no prizes for guessing why that sportsbook entered the list and snagged a top spot), and William Hill. After trying out the William Hill withdrawals, talkSPORT found that the majority of e-wallet withdrawals were processed and paid within 24 hours. If you don’t fancy banking with an e-wallet, despite their unparalleled online banking convenience, you can opt to use Rapid Transfer withdrawals instead, which will also allow you to spend your winnings within 24 hours.

: The owner of the William Hill Casino sister sites, 888, has been placed under review by the UK Gambling Commission, as reported by the Guardian on the 14th of July. If the licence is revoked, the future of the gambling firm could be uncertain at best, at least regarding the UK arms belonging to the international firm, which has recently made major strides across the pond and within recently regulated iGaming markets across the globe. The intervention on behalf of the UKGC was dubbed as dramatic by the financial reporter for the Guardian, Rob Davies, which is substantiated given that the investigation has spooked potential investors and even gone as far as derailing a leadership bid, which was currently underway involving three of the top gambling industry investors/veterans.

William Hill Casino Licence Under Review

Since the announcement of the investigation, the 888 share prices have slid by a staggering 25%; even if they come clean from the bribery allegations that prompted the investigation, it will still be a fair while before the owner of William Hill Casino can clear its reputation and re-bolster the value of its shares. Though this may seem like a sudden turn of events, it stems back to January 2023 when the chief executive officer, Itai Pazner, was fired after the gambling operator was condemned for not following anti-money laundering policies to the satisfaction of the UKGC, which subsequently incurred a sizeable fine. For a while, it was looking like FS Gaming would step into the leadership role, now that is looking infinitely less likely.

: Knowing that the vast majority of sportsbook users prefer to place bets on mobile and that not every bookmaker caters to mobile sports bettors equally, on the 27th of June, the Herald suggested 10 of the best betting apps available to Android and Apple users. One of the William Hill Casino sister sites, William Hill, was listed as the fifth-best mobile bookmaker, mostly on the basis of the best odds guarantee. But offering the best odds across a number of their betting markets wasn’t enough to beat 10Bet, Britain Bet, Betway and Unibet, which were recommended for their superior mobile design, range of betting markets available to mobile players, live betting markets and live streaming, respectively.

The Herald assured their readers that there is extensive coverage of all sports and betting markets at William Hill; among the thousands of betting markets, there are swathes of odds boots and other promotions, especially for the featured markets, which tend to switch up based on what is currently happening in the sporting world. While some online bookmakers give mobile users a direct replica of the web version to work with, William Hill does things a little differently by giving the app a simplistic feel. With the William Hill app, users will also have access to the other William Hill iGaming brands, such as William Hill Vegas; there is no need to fund a separate bankroll, and you can spin slots and wager on live dealer tables with the funds you won from placing the right bets.

: On the 19th of June, The William Hill Casino sister sites news team updated the blog on the flagship site with a compelling article about the darts legend James Wade’s sporting career. During a William Hill Presents podcast, he confessed that if, during his darts career, he had earned enough money, he would have walked away from the sport. During his highly accoladed career, Wade won the hearts of many darts fans, in addition to becoming a Masters Champion. During the podcast, hosted by Simon Jordan (the former Crystal Palace owner), Wade gave a candid account of the challenges he has faced and mused upon his sporting career ending. Spoiler alert, in a brutally honest confession, he proclaimed that the only reason he endeavoured in the sport was for the cash, not for the love of the game. Although, he digressed that he can’t say for sure if he would have walked away if he had enough money to, as he never found himself in that position.

He also elaborated on how the pressure of the job is becoming more and more unbearable the older he gets – which would undoubtedly go for pretty much every competitive profession – not to take the wind out of his confessional sails! Aside from darts, his other main passion is working on his collection of classic cars in his workshop. He admitted to never being able to figure out what is wrong with people, but when it comes to cars, he feels more confident in his ability to diagnose and rectify the issues at hand.

: Little Black Book Online was one of the first sites to cover how one of the William Hill Casino sister sites, William Hill Vegas, has beaten the competition among gambling companies to create the first-ever augmented reality online slot game. The new WH Vegas campaign will see static and digital billboards capable of facilitating a two-way interaction with their audience. To make this possible, four companies, Ocean Outdoor, Kinetic, Smart Media Technologies and Wavemaker UK, joined forces to create the largest augmented reality slot in the world. The AR slot is in 12 cities and 23 Out of Home screens in the UK; to play the giant AR slot, players have to scan a QR code to receive a digital token, which can be cashed in on a slot machine on their mobile via their web app wallet.

William Hill Casino AR Slots Game

Even though this may sound like an overly complicated way to spin an online slot game, there is no download required. Once the token has been cashed in, the billboard slot will spin in real-time to reveal that the player has been entered into a prize pool. Currently, the top prize is a trip to Las Vegas, worth £15k; for players to double their chances of winning the trip of a lifetime, for a limited time only, this can be done by downloading the William Hill app. The director of strategic marketing at William Hill, who clearly deserves a pay rise, believes this innovative move has allowed the brand to become synonymous with delivering the ultimate experiences in iGaming.

: On May 26th, the online newspaper, The Stoke Sentential, informed its readers that one of the William Hill Casino sister sites, William Hill is under fire after delaying the payment of one punter’s winnings. On the 30th of April, the retired lecturer, Martin Pye bravely wagered £3k on the outcome of the World Snooker Championships 2023, which took place at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre. After playing his cards right and backing Luca Brecel to win at 19 / 10 odds, Pye is still waiting for his £8,700 winnings almost a month later. After the long wait and the story breaking in The Mirror, the bookmaker is now promising that the funds are on the way to him. Although, why William Hill didn’t stump up the cash for the professional gambler on his first three visits to the betting shop is a mystery. He was still in possession of the betting slip he used to place the bet.

Naturally, Pye was furious, but this wasn’t the first time that the bookmaker had been less than forthcoming about paying his winnings. They were just as hesitant a few years ago when they asked him to provide ID and personal details, which didn’t go down too well with Pye, who cited data protection legislation. In retaliation, the bookmaker advised him the request came from recently introduced government guidance, which has recently been put into place to protect gamblers from the harms of gambling addiction. In the instance of the most recent grievance, 888 Holdings stuck with the claim that they were only complying with legal and regulatory obligations when withholding the £8,700 winnings.

: Last week the William Hill Casino sister site William Hill pledged to donate all their profits from Eurovision wagering to Support Ukraine, a UK-based charity, which uses its funds to support civilians still living in Ukraine and those that have fled to the UK for safety. This week, the online and retail bookmaker has revealed that they have donated £200,000 to the charity, as per their promise. Details of the charitable donation can be found in an article by Gambling Insider, which was published on the 15th of May. The article also confirmed that a record-breaking number of viewers tuned into this year’s song contest; over 9.9 million people glued themselves to the screens for the Final, which took place on the 13th of May in Liverpool.

The William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, stated that he felt proud of the donation; the funds raised from the profits will go towards paying for much-needed supplies for Ukrainians, including food, toys, medicine, and other humanitarian aid. He stated that everyone who had placed a wager with the betting firm, regardless of the outcome, contributed to the sizeable sum, which was received with gratitude by Support Ukraine. Shortly after the confirmation of the final donation, a spokesperson for Support Ukraine commented on the kindness of the gesture extended by William Hill. The article also covered which Eurovision odds were the overwhelming favourite in the run-up to the contest; it was the odds on Loreen, who represented Sweden winning, which were offered at 4 / 7.

: On May 12, online media platforms, including Gambling Insider and Gambling News, covered how the William Hill Casino sister sites, including the flagship platform, William Hill, have pledged 100% of their Eurovision profits to support a Ukrainian charity, which the board directors deemed as ‘brilliant’ for their efforts to diminish the devastation of the ongoing conflict. The charity in question is Support Ukraine, which has headquarters in London. The funds pledged by William Hill will go towards providing meals and other forms of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians who have fled the country before seeking asylum in the UK. The charity also provides books and toys for children, in addition to sending provisions to families who still reside in Ukraine.

In a recently published press release, Lee Phelps, a William Hill spokesperson, assured everyone looking to place a wager on the Eurovision outcomes over the weekend that 100% of the profits will be sent directly to Support Ukraine. This applies to all betting markets revolving around the song competition; he also added that whether you win or lose with your wager, Ukraine will win regardless. The final donation amount will be announced on Monday the 15th of May, following the Final, which will happen over the weekend. Phelps concluded his press release by stating that even though it has been over a year since millions of people in Ukraine have had their entire lives turned upside down, the disasters they are facing should not be forgotten, and we shouldn’t be desensitised to the atrocities that they have faced.

William Hill Casino Review 2024

As we said at the top of this page, William Hill Casino was once totally distinct from William Hill, with a website all its own. That isn’t the case these days. It was originally brought “on site” as a minisite within the larger William Hill website along with William Hill Vegas, which used to be another of the William Hill Casino sister sites. Fast forward to today, and William Hill Casino and William Hill Vegas have, to all intents and purposes, fused together. You can visit casino.williamhill.com or vegas.williamhill.com, and you’ll end up in the same place, which will look exactly like the screenshot below.

William Hill Casino sister sites homepage

One way of looking at William Hill Casino would be to say there isn’t much to it. It’s essentially a one-page website occupying space within the website of its parent brand. Another way of looking at it would be to say that William Hill Casino is an exercise in efficiency. It might be small, but everything you need is no more than a single click away, and you don’t have to look hard to find anything. More important than all of this, though, is the question of whether it’s any fun to play here. We’ll tell you by presenting you with this review.

Willian Hill Casino Welcome Offers

The William Hill Casino welcome promotion goes by the name of “William Hill Big Fortune,” and offers two hundred free spins for all new players. To get the promotion, sign up for the casino and enter the code “B10” when making your first deposit of at least £10. The full deposit then has to be spent before the free spins are awarded. Once you’ve got them, you’ll find that they can only be redeemed on specific slots. The small print of the promotion fails to declare whether or not the free spins come with any wagering requirements attached to winnings generated by them, so we’ll assume that they don’t.

Ongoing Promotions

Most of the other promotions at William Hill Casino or short-lived or seasonal. That’s actually an improvement from the situation that occurred in 2022 when the former William Hill Casino became a minisite within the William Hill website and lost all of the promotions that it used to come with. You’ll need to keep an eye on the promotions at William Hill Casino each time you visit the site because they change so often, but they’re all helpfully positioned at the top of the homepage for ease of browsing. At the time of our visit to write this review, there was a small no-deposit free spins offer on Fire and Roses Joker, access to a £10,000 prize draw and a £15,000 prize draw, a special “Bonus Drop” that dispenses spot prizes and can be played once per day by every customer, and a Bonus Vault game that works along similar lines. We wouldn’t be at all surprised if all of those promotions had disappeared by the time of your visit to the casino.

William Hill Casino Pros and Cons

Pros: William Hill Casino is attached to William Hill, which is one of the most trusted gaming companies in the UK. The same standards of customer care apply, and players can have confidence that their money is safe. The one-page design of the casino is minimalist, but it’s easy to navigate. Absorbing William Hill Vegas has significantly expanded the casino’s portfolio of slots and games.

Cons: Since joining the William Hill Casino sister sites in becoming an in-house brand contained directly within the “parent” William Hill website, William Hill Casino has been diminished. It still has barely two hundred casino games to offer and very few promotions worthy of the name.

Featured Slots and Casino Games

Brand new additions to the William Hill Casino slots library are featured more prominently on the casino’s homepage than its most popular slots, but you’ll find them if you keep scrolling down. When you do, you’ll find these names among them.

William Hill Casino Shop

Buffalo Blitz Megaways: The original Buffalo Blitz online slots game was a massive hit for Playtech, but Buffalo Blitz Megaways has the potential to be even bigger. The animal-themed slot was released in November 2021 and offers 96.29% RTP with high volatility and the full Megaways complement of 117,649 ways to win. Even if it weren’t for the Megaways system’s inclusion in the slot, this would still be a fun and exciting one to play because of the presence of no fewer than four free spins features, each of which comes with a different wild multiplier. There are four progressive jackpots to be won in the slot, too.

Thunder Birds Power Zones: Unfortunately, Thunder Birds Power Zones is not an online slots game based on the rocket-riding puppets from Tracey Island we all grew up with. Instead, the stars of this Ash Gaming online slots game are all literally birds. They can be told apart by their various colours, and they’re pretty to look at. This is a cluster pays slot, and as with most cluster pays slots it’s very volatile, but its volatility is at least partially tempered by the 96.42% RTP it comes with. Free spins come equipped with random multipliers that might go as high as x100, and the combination of cluster pays and avalanche wins with the power zones mechanic is a powerful one.

The Mummy – Books of Amum Ra: We’re back to Playtech again for this officially-licensed online slots game based on “The Mummy” movie franchise. To be more specific, it’s based on the first film in the franchise, which came out in the 1990s, so it’s an odd choice for a 2021 release. This is a character-driven slot, and your choice of character will determine which of the game’s bonus features you’re eligible for. One character can expand the layout up to six reels, for example, while another can make bonus symbols expand and remove low-value symbols from the reels. Your choice of strategy is important in this cinematic slot, which offers 95.97% RTP and high variance.

In addition to the small online slots collection hosted here, William Hill Casino also has an equally small range of live dealer, card, and roulette games for your consideration.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

William Hill Casino helpfully lines up all of its accepted deposit and withdrawal methods in the footer of its website. There aren’t many of them, but for the sake of completion, you can perform transactions with this casino using Visa, Maestro, Mastercard as debit card options, or Skrill and PayPal as e-wallets. You’ll be waiting between one and three days for debit card withdrawals in most cases unless you have a “Visa Direct” card, in which case your money ought to be with you within four hours. Withdrawals made using Skrill and PayPal should be processed within a single working day and might even be instant.

If none of the above payment and withdrawal methods suits you, your only other option is to visit a William Hill store in person. You’ll find at least one in almost every UK town and city, and the employees there can provide instant access to your William Hill Casino account. You can deposit into the account in cash and also withdraw the same way, but you’ll have to phone in advance and provide notice if you intend to withdraw more than £500.

Customer Support and License

Clicking the “Contact Us” link either at the top of the William Hill Casino page or in its footer will take you to a new screen where William Hill apologises for not providing telephone support anymore. Instead, your only options are live chat and Twitter. Live chat should be available at all times of the day. The site says you can go into any branch of William Hill and discuss concerns in person with a customer advisor, but how much a William Hill shop employee is likely to know about website-related queries is debatable.

William Hill Casino has no fewer than three active licences. It’s covered by the UK Gambling Commission (39225), the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner, and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA/CRP121/2006).

William Hill Casino – The Verdict

William Hill Casino isn’t what it used to be, but there’s life in this old dog yet. The range of online slots is small but well-selected, and the quality of customer care provided here is good. You’ll definitely find bigger and better casinos elsewhere, but if you want the sense of trust and security that comes with the William Hill name, you’ll be relieved to know that it’s a perfectly acceptable iGaming site.

William Hill Casino – A Deeper Dive

Streamlining The Company

On November 27th 2021, it was announced that the William Hill Casino brand was streamlining operations by closing three of its less popular casino brands. The brands that were shuttered were Casino Club, 21 Nova and Eurogrand. The choice to close 3 of their brands happened after an evaluation of the business footprint and took effect almost immediately. From November 29th, 2021, players were longer be able to register and play at the three brands that were set to close. However, they were given until 24th of January 2022 to withdraw all of their winnings and deposits. It should be noted that William Hill Casino itself narrowly avoided closure as part of this streamlining operation. Its website was closed, and the brand was brought back to the primary William Hill website. It was luckier still to stay alive after 888 Holdings purchased the entire William Hill Group in 2022.

William Hill Sponsors UK Racing League

William Hill Casino is now such a small part of the William Hill brand that it’s unlikely we’ll see it undertake any sponsorship activities in its own right, but there’s no slowing down its parent company even after the 888 Group takeover. With that in mind, sports betting is a big part of the action at William Hill. Not only does the casino facilitate sports betting with incredible odds, but it also invests in a myriad of different sports. Most recently, the bookmaker became the title sponsor of a new racing competition, the Racing League. The Racing League is the first-ever team horseracing competition in the UK.

The competition started on July 29th, 2021 at Newcastle Racecourse, the event was packed to the rafters with horse racing fans and bettors alike, all looking to get a slice of the exciting action. The competition was hosted by Championship Horseracing, and the total prize fund for the event came in at £1.8 million. That is £50,000 to the winning team from each race and a £200,000 bonus for the top three jockeys. As the title sponsor, William Hill offered excellent odds on each of the races.

William Hill Casino’s Charitable Contributions

In the 2020s, how ethical a company or brand is can make all of the difference in the eyes of potential customers. In a press release in October 2021, the casino brand and sports betting site announced its plans to drive community engagement and have a positive impact on society. Here are just a few of the ways that William Hill has recently attempted to make a positive impression across the UK:

•William Hill Casino announced its new “Support Within Sport” partnership. With the help of Support Within Sport, William Hill announced a support service that is available to all Premier League teams, including the coaches and referees. The clinical service involved physical health checks by doctors in sports medicine. For those struggling with mental health issues, ongoing counselling support was available. Since launching in 2016, over 200 people have benefited from the service.

•William Hill has also supported a Kenyan charity, Raising Futures, which provides skill development for young people in the aim of enabling them to become financially secure and independent. In 2021, the brand also donated to Seed of Hope which funded their sanitation programme.

•The impact of Covid-19 was devastating in Malta which is where William Hill’s international hub is based. The economy was hard hit by the lack of tourism and travel, so William Hill provided ample support to Foodbank Lifeline Malta. Additionally, William Hill provided extra support to their Maltese colleagues.

•Like many companies, William Hill reviewed its environmental impact in 2020 and announced its plans to transition into a carbon-neutral company. In October, they made the switch to a more environmentally-friendly energy company that uses renewable energy – but they didn’t stop there. William Hill plans to switch to hydro, wind and solar power to save up to 61,500 tonnes of CO2.

•While some companies get their kicks from avoiding taxes, William Hill prides itself on its economic contribution. In 2020 it paid over £292 million in duties and tax. They also helped the government to collect tax and repaid the £24.5 million pounds that came their way via the Job Retention Scheme, which was put into place as companies were placing their members of staff on furlough.

William Hill Supports Black History Month

October is Black History Month, and not for the first time, William Hill Casino got involved in 2021. The brand takes equality, inclusion and diversity seriously. After the racial abuse scandal that arose in football in the summer of 2021, they were keen to create time and space to appreciate and understand black history. As part of their Black History Month awareness campaign, they teamed up with their brand ambassador, Anthony Joshua, who featured in many aspects of the multi-media campaign.

William Hill Announced The Sports Writer of the Year

Sports betting websites aren’t usually the place to go for literary recommendations, but if William Hill Casino has proven anything in recent years, it is that it is more than just a casino. It is a community; a multi-faceted positive presence in the sports and sports betting world. As a perfect example of its versatility and appreciation of culture, William Hill announced Michael Holding as the sportswriter of the year in December 2021 for his book, “Why We Kneel, How We Rise.” The book was written with the aim of educating and tackling racism, and it has already been dubbed as one of the most important sports books ever written. The book touches upon the primary cause of racism, before giving an in-depth view on the toll it takes on society as a whole and the individual. The book also contains the stories of the world’s biggest sporting names, such as Usain Bolt, Naomi Osaka and Thierry Henry.

The Book of the Year award by William Hill certainly isn’t new, it has been putting exceptional sportswriters in the spotlight for 33 years running. It was plenty more than just an award-winning title scooped up by Michael Holding, the poignant writer also collected a trophy and a cash prize of £30,000. Other authors that were short-listed by William Hill included Sasha Abramsky for “Little Wonder,” Rob Burrow for “Too Many Reasons to Live” and Ed Caesar for his revolutionary work, “The Moth and the Mountain.”
