Purple Bay B.V. is still a relatively new casino network, having launched its first casino (BetZino) in 2022 and this follow-up, Amon Casino, in November 2023. The fact that it hasn’t been around for very long is the main reason that the number of BetZino sister sites is currently just one. We’ve seen Curacao-based casino network companies add sites much faster than this in the past, but the fact that Purple Bay has actually bothered to acquire a licence might indicate that it’s prepared to be a little more patient and cautious than the average online casino from this part of the world.

Amon Casino, as you can probably tell both from the logo above and the screenshot below, is presented with an Egyptian theme. It’s not an uncommon theme, but it’s slightly unusual that when Purple Bay decided to expand the BetZino sister sites family, “Let’s go Egyptian” was the first thing that came to mind. It’s a well-designed casino with fun cartoon graphics, and promises new bonuses to players every day of the year. With plenty of well-known providers stocking the site with games, it appears that Amon Casino is trusted even if it isn’t appropriately licensed for the UK market.

The logo of BetZino reminds us of Jurassic Park. That’s not really anything to do with the casino – it just does. The casino’s name is clearly a portmanteau of “bet” and “casino,” which is such an obvious idea that we can’t believe nobody used it before this site launched in 2022. It’s a Curacao-based, Curacao-owned casino – a fact that means it ought to be viewed with a little suspicion whether it deserves to be or not. The casino should be considered out of bounds if you’re in the UK, but does it have anything to offer to the rest of you? Let’s find out.

BetZino Welcome Promotions

BetZino lays out two welcome promotions for its players – one for slots fans and one for players who’d rather spend their time (and money) in the live casino. We suspect that most of you prefer slots, so let’s start there. The offer is up to £600 in matched deposit bonuses plus one hundred free spins, with the full offer split over four deposits. Deposit one is matched at one hundred per cent up to £150, followed by fifty per cent up to £200 on deposit two, 25% up to £150 on deposit three, and 100% up to £100 on deposit for. Deposits three and four come with fifty free spins each. All bonuses come with an x40 wagering requirement.

The live casino promotion is similar. Other Promotions

There are so many promotions open at BetZino that it’s almost intimidating to look at the promotions page, but a lot of the promotions that appear are seasonal. We visited the site very close to Christmas to write this review, and there were no fewer than five short-term Christmas-themed promotions happening. Since summarising the festive promotions is pointless because they’ll be gone soon, let’s talk about the longer-term rewards at BetZino instead – the VIP rewards.

Unfortunately, there’s only so much we can tell you about the VIP perks because their terms are written in French, and the content is a graphic rather than raw text, so we can’t translate it. From what we can make out, there are five ranks, with weekly cashback commencing at five per cent at the Silver rank (rank three) and increasing to fifteen per cent at the top rank of Platinum. Exclusive promotions, VIP support, extra free spins, withdrawal limits and more are all introduced and then enhanced as players move through the ranks. Invitation to the scheme and promotion through the ranks all happens via email, though, with the terms of entry undisclosed.

Pros and Cons of BetZino

Pros: BetZino is a modern, easy-to-use casino website piled high with great slots and games from the industry’s best providers. The welcome promotion for slots is reasonably good, and the VIP scheme looks like it offers genuine value.

Cons: There isn’t a banking page, and the information that the casino provides about withdrawals doesn’t mention anything about timescales. The welcome promotion for live casino players comes with a brutal wagering requirement – far too high to make the bonus attractive. The casino’s licence comes from a regulator that’s viewed as weak when it comes to enforcement and complaint handling.

Top Games at BetZino

Finding games to play won’t be a problem at BetZino. We’ve already said that the world’s best providers have stacked the casino’s portfolio full of their best games, all of which are divided neatly between slots and live casino categories. Based on the way the homepage is laid out, it looks like slots are treated with greater reverence than live dealer games – they appear far higher on the page than any of the live options do.

The very top casino games at BetZino are likely to make for similar viewing as the top games at your usual casino of choice. We’ve already said that BetZino doesn’t supply as much information about its withdrawal processes as it ought to, so all we can tell you with any degree of certainty is that you’ll be able to get your winnings and other cash out of the casino by using a Visa or Mastercard debit card, or Bitcoin. BetZino – The Verdict

We like BetZino a whole lot more than we like most Curacao casinos. Its promotions have relatively fair terms and conditions, there’s a huge amount of choice when it comes to games, and it’s made a token effort at getting a recognised iGaming licence in place. There are still weaknesses here, though. Failing to translate the terms of the VIP promotion out of French is a rookie mistake, and failing to provide the full necessary information about the withdrawal process feels like a strange omission. It’s a competent casino, but the quality that it offers is nothing that you wouldn’t easily find at dozens of UKGC-licenced online casinos.
