Top Casino Networks and Platforms
The battle to be recognised as the leading casino network company on the internet is a fierce one, with new names joining the fray all the time and top companies jostling for the lead. It’s been more than twenty-five years since the established order of brick-and-mortar casinos was first challenged by online casinos, and we’ve seen some big names come and go during those decades. Throughout it all, though, some familiar companies have remained at or close to the top of the tree. Those companies are 888 UK Limited, Jumpman Gaming and AG Communications Limited. Gamesys is also worthy of mention, and Broadway Gaming has made an enormous splash, but these three companies are “the big three” in the minds of most players and also most of their peers.
888 Casinos
888 UK Limited, which also trades as 888 Holdings, is a truly global company. It’s a name that’s very well known to players in the UK, but it’s also familiar to millions across Europe and is in the progress of becoming a household name in the United States of America as the sporting division of the 888 Group takes advantage of the USA’s emerging sports betting market. At one point, The 888 Group operated more than four hundred casino sites. That changed drastically in 2022 when the company decided to offload its bingo sites and its less-famous slots sites in favour of focusing on its core division of 888-branded sites. The decision to sell the other sites came not long after the 888 Group paid an enormous amount of money to acquire the non-American interests of the William Hill International Group, which gave 888 Holdings control of not only William Hill but also Mr Green. Other casinos still with the group include 888 Casino, 7777 Casino, 888 Sport, 888 Poker and more. Click the image above for more information.
Jumpman Gaming
Jumpman Gaming has mastered the art of creating and operating white-label casino websites. With its white-label model, Jumpman Gaming works with third parties to create tailored websites, combining a name and look chosen by the third party with a platform of casino games and customer services provided by Jumpman Gaming. In doing so, they use a template. That’s why so many of the Jumpman Gaming sites look broadly similar and offer virtually identical promotions. The look and feel of the standard Jumpman design have been a big hit with corporate clients. Express Wins, the official casino site of the Daily Express newspaper, is on the Jumpman Gaming platform, as is the official casino of the Daily Mirror (Mirror Bingo) and the official casino of the Daily Star (Star Wins). Jumpman Gaming might not be a household name in quite the same way that the 888 Group is, but given how successful the company is, we doubt that anybody in its upper echelons is losing any sleep over that fact.
AG Communications Casinos
Casino network companies that serve the UK marketplace don’t come much bigger than AG Communications Limited. It has over 50 active casinos and betting sites for UK players, the best of which are highlighted below.
AG Communications Limited has become as big as it is by operating a hugely successful white-label casino model. While the company occasionally builds casinos for its own purposes and keeps the running of them in-house, you’re far more likely to find it making casinos for other people and then providing them with licensing and basic support on a white-label basis. The overwhelming majority of the AG Communications casinos operate according to this business model, including Mr Play, which is arguably the operator’s most successful casino to date. The white-label platform that AG Communications offers is clearly an attractive one, as it periodically picks up casinos from other white-label operators. 666 Casino is a good example of that, having landed on the AG Communications Limited network from elsewhere in 2022.
For all the praise we’ve given to AG Communications Limited above, the company doesn’t really exist. It was incorporated in Malta in 2009, but it’s little more than a trading style of Aspire Global, which has been busy and active in the online casino and iGaming world since 2005. As big as AG Communications appears to be, Aspire Global is even bigger, with licences allowing it to offer casino services and websites in more than fourteen different countries. In June 2022, Aspire Global was acquired by the lottery giant NeoGames, with AG Communications Limited forming part of the bargain. NeoGames hasn’t yet done anything radical to the portfolio of casinos it picked up in the deal, but don’t rule out the possibility of changes in the future. It’s a lottery company, so it would make sense for lottery games to be added to the AG Communications sites eventually.
About AG Communications
AG Communications Limited operates more than fifty online casinos, including some that rank among the most popular in the UK. Mr Mega, for example, is an AG Communications Limited casino, as are Mr Play, Regent Casino, Plaza Royal Casino and Luck Land. The casinos operated by AG Communications are far more famous than the company itself, which keeps a comparatively low profile. That might be because AG Communications Limited technically doesn’t exist. Despite having a UK Gambling Commission licence of its own, AG Communications Limited is actually a trading style of Aspire Global Plc. You’ll even see the Aspire Global name in the footer of all the casinos on the AG Communications Limited platform, confirming that while AG Communications is responsible for operating the casinos in the UK, they operate under the Aspire Global name everywhere else. We wish we could tell you why the company was set up that way – Aspire Global Plc has a UK Gambling Commission licence independently of AG Communications and could presumably run the casinos just as easily – but that’s the way the company is set up.
