Betway Sister Sites

Saying that Betway belongs to Betway Limited might sound like it’s stating the obvious, but it underlines the fact that when it comes to the Betway sister sites, Betway itself is king. There’s nothing else on this iGaming network that comes even close to Betway in terms of public profile or importance to the UK scene. The Betway sister sites are still there to be used if you so desire, though, and if you’d like to know more about them, we have mini profiles for all of them below. A more detailed look at Betway Limited in its capacity as the company behind the Betway sister sites is available on our dedicated page for the operator.

Betway Casino

Betway Casino logo

The first of the Betway sister sites we’re going to list is part of Betway itself. It’s Betway Casino, and it’s worthy of a separate entry because its focus is totally different to that of Betway. Betway is a sports betting company. Betway Casino does just about everything a gambling site could do apart from handling sports bets. It might share web space with Betway, but it’s a totally different animal. Betway Casino has slowly been becoming an ever more important part of the Betway brand since the company took the decision to branch out from sports and start entertaining the idea of competing with other online casinos. It’s now just as big a focus as the sports brand and while it might not be quite so visible in terms of advertising, don’t rule out the idea of seeing the name somewhere prominent soon.

Hippodrome Online

Hippodrome Online

Hippodrome is one of the longest-running casinos in the market. We’re not talking about its longevity in a strictly online sense – it’s only been on the internet since 2013. Hippodrome’s longevity stems from the fact that it’s the online presence of a prestigious brick-and-mortar casino that has been in business for more than a century. You can’t buy the kind of history that the Hippodrome has. Hippodrome claims itself to be the UK’s most renowned and classical online casino. We’re not sure about the “renowned,” but it’s definitely classical. It also offers things that no other online casino can touch, like live dealer games beamed directly from the heart of the real-world Hippodrome Casino in London. It’s hard to compare Hippodrome Online to the other Betway sister sites – it’s in a league of its own.

Spin Casino

There used to be two “second string” Betway sister sites on this platform; Dream Bingo, and Spin Casino. In 2024, everything changed for those two neglected brands. Dream Bingo was packaged up and sold to Jumpman Gaming (who confusingly closed it a few months later), and Spin Casino received a long-overdue overhaul, finally bringing the UK-facing version of the brand in line with the version that’s existed for players elsewhere in Europe for many years. The new Spin Casino is a very different beast than the old one, and is almost a match for Betway Casino when it comes to overall content and quality. It still isn’t the best of the casino options on the Betway Limited platform, though – that goes to the casino we’re looking at next. Still, though, it’s a solid enough brand, and it will give you more of what you like if you’re a fan of the operator.

Jackpot City

Jackpot City

Betway Limited did a lot of UK-based players a favour when it brought Jackpot City back to the marketplace in 2023. This was a huge slots and casino site for many years, but when Bayton Limited opted to withdraw from the UK marketplace in 2021 it took Jackpot City with it, and thousands of UK players suddenly found themselves without access to their favourite online casino. We feared that the brand might be gone forever, but Betway surprised everyone by snapping it up and re-launching it with virtually no notice. We’re not actually sure how this deal played out, because the international version of Jackpot City still belongs to Bayton – it’s only in the UK that you’ll find the brand under the Betway umbrella. It’s not quite the same Jackpot City you remember, but it comes with plenty of great games including some high-quality exclusives.

Betway News

: This week, the Betway blog explained everything bettors and viewers in the UK need to know about the Superbowl. With Super Bowl LIX set to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, the guide covers the history, format, and key details ahead of the highly anticipated matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs enter the game aiming for an unprecedented third consecutive title, having defeated the Eagles in the 2023 final before overcoming the San Francisco 49ers last year. Meanwhile, the Eagles secured their place in this year’s championship game with a dominant victory over the Washington Commanders. The blog provides an overview of how the Super Bowl became the defining event in American football, tracing its origins from the AFL-NFL World Championship Game to its evolution into a global sporting spectacle.

The blog also explains how the location is chosen years in advance and why the event has never been hosted outside the United States, despite ongoing discussions about international venues. For those unfamiliar with the sport, the blog offers a breakdown of the game’s format, including how teams qualify through the playoffs and why the championship features the best team from each conference. The feature also highlights key players to watch, with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes chasing his third Super Bowl MVP title, while Eagles running back Saquon Barkley looks to cap off a stellar debut season with a championship win. The halftime show, another major attraction, will see Kendrick Lamar take the stage following last year’s performance by Usher. Betting odds are also discussed, with the Chiefs currently favoured to win, while a range of markets from traditional wagers to novelty bets are available.

: Betway has brought on new brand ambassadors for 2025, signing Irish trainer Ross O’Sullivan and former jockey Katie Walsh to join their team. This dynamic duo will share insights from the world of horse racing, offering readers of the Betway Insider an exclusive look at their yard, updates on major racing events, and commentary on key industry topics. O’Sullivan, who has been training horses since 2011, will provide updates on his runners and share his perspective on the challenges and triumphs of managing a successful yard. Meanwhile, Walsh, who retired from professional riding earlier this year, brings her wealth of experience and knowledge as one of the most accomplished female jockeys in the sport, including her historic third-place finish in the Grand National aboard her father’s horse, Seabass, in 2012.

Betway Ross O Sullivan

Together, the couple has celebrated notable victories, including the 2017 Grand National Trial at Punchestown with their mare Baie Des Iles. The horse, now set to compete in the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow, could also return for another shot at the Grand National in April, where Betway sister sites serve as the official betting partner. This partnership promises to bring a fresh perspective to racing fans, blending O’Sullivan’s training expertise with Walsh’s insights into the intricacies of the sport. Betway’s Alan Alger expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that O’Sullivan’s updates will offer readers a compelling glimpse into the world of horse training, while Walsh’s experience and observations will enrich the platform’s coverage of upcoming racing highlights. The couple, equally enthusiastic, sees this partnership as an opportunity to engage with fans and share their passion for the sport.

: Betway must be feeling the content creation pressure as recently, they published a rather unoriginal blog covering the top 10 casino scenes in films, a listicle that has been published by several other betting sites. According to their selection, they revisit iconic gambling moments in cinema. Beginning with ‘Swingers’ (1996), Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn play aspiring actors who lose their bankroll in Las Vegas after one hand of blackjack. In ‘Run Lola Run’ (1998), the protagonist tries to win a fortune at roulette to save her boyfriend. ‘Rain Man’ (1988) features Dustin Hoffman as an autistic savant who helps his brother, played by Tom Cruise, count cards in blackjack. Daniel Craig’s James Bond faces a high-stakes poker game against Le Chiffre in ‘Casino Royale’ (2005). Martin Scorsese’s ‘Casino’ (1995) depicts the harsh realities of Las Vegas’s underworld, including a scene where cheats are dealt with severely.

Further down the list, props are given to ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ (2007), which showcases a simulated earthquake used to disrupt a casino during a heist followed by ‘Blade Runner 2049’ (2017), which sees Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford engage in a confrontation within a deserted casino in a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas. The article also describes how the classic ‘Dr No’ (1962) introduces Sean Connery as James Bond at a baccarat table, setting the tone for the series. ’21’ (2008) tells the story of MIT students who use card counting to beat casinos at blackjack. Topping their list is ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ (2001), where George Clooney and Brad Pitt orchestrate an elaborate plan to steal millions from Las Vegas casinos.

: On November 6th, Gambling Insider reported that Betway and the Premier Soccer League (PSL) are teaming up to spearhead National Responsible Gambling Month in South Africa, underscoring their commitment to addressing the challenges of problem gambling. This initiative marks a painstaking effort by both organisations to utilise their influential platforms in the sports betting arena to promote gambling awareness and responsible behaviour. The announcement came during a press conference at the PSL headquarters in Johannesburg, which saw key figures such as the PSL Chairman, Betway’s CEO in South Africa, and the Executive Director of the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation (SARGF) in attendance. These leaders shared their unified goal to educate the public on the risks associated with gambling and to provide support for those affected by gambling problems.

Premier Soccer League

The collaboration aligns with Betway’s ongoing commitment as a major sponsor in sports to promote safe gambling practices among its users and the broader public. The partnership will focus on disseminating the message of ‘Bet Responsibly’ throughout the soccer community and beyond, particularly during the month of November, which will serve as a focal point for their responsible gambling campaign. The South African Responsible Gambling Foundation’s involvement is set to play a crucial role in the initiative, with plans to lead advocacy efforts and raise public awareness about the dangers of compulsive gambling. They will also emphasise the availability of free services such as counselling to support individuals struggling with gambling addiction. This initiative follows Betway’s recent expansions into sports partnerships, including becoming the official betting partner for several prominent football clubs.

: This week, the platform eSports.net listed the best games to play on the Betway sister sites if you are looking for easy wins. According to the report, Betway offers a collection of over 450 casino games, boasting titles from leading developers such as Microgaming, Pragmatic Play, and Blueprint. While not the largest selection, the platform focuses on quality, ensuring players can enjoy some of the most popular and rewarding games available. One of the recommended slot games is Big Bass Bonanza, which comes with an impressive RTP of 96.71%, making it a favourite for those looking for straightforward gameplay. For those seeking crash games, Aviator and Fly X offer exciting gameplay with the chance for big multipliers, up to 12,000x in the case of Fly X.

If arcade games are more your style, Plinko Dare2Win provides a fun option, inspired by the Japanese game of pachinko, where players watch balls drop to win rewards. On the jackpot side, Mega Moolah was selected for its immersive African savannah theme, offering the opportunity to win life-changing jackpots. For players who prefer table games, Betway doesn’t disappoint, with its live roulette and blackjack options, including Mega Fire Blaze Blackjack Live, which adds a unique twist by using eight decks of cards. On the slots side, Immortal Romance II offers a mix of vampire-themed entertainment with massive multipliers of up to 15,000x, while Cards of Athena: Double Double Bonus serves as an exhilarating video poker option. For newcomers, eSports recommends simple slot games like Rabbit Fields and Rising Rewards, which provide the perfect introduction to online gaming.

: Betway has been announced as the official betting partner for Nottingham Forest for the 2024/2025 Premier League season. This partnership, revealed by SBC News, is part of a broader engagement by Betway, a Super Group-owned entity, which already boasts four other collaborations within the league. Nottingham Forest’s City Ground will now see Betway’s presence illuminated across LED advertising boards during all Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup matches. Nottingham Forest, known for their rich heritage and dedicated support base, launched their new season with a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth, which wasn’t the best start, but with a big-league bookmaker onside, they stand a better chance of thriving through the season. To add to that, Forest followers can now expect exclusive benefits ranging from match tickets to merchandise and unique ‘play on the pitch’ events.

Betway Nottingham Forest partnership

These kinds of partnership perks are becoming increasingly common in football, attesting to how vital betting sponsors can be – as much as anti-gambling lobbyists want teams to cut ties with betting brands. After the details of the partnership were finalised and the news was ready to be made public, Super Group CEO, Neal Menashe, spoke to the press to bring awareness of the alignment of Betway’s customer base with football, particularly the Premier League. This alliance allows Betway to offer its users unique content and opportunities, leveraging their passion for football to enhance customer satisfaction and engagement. Betway’s involvement in English football isn’t new, as the company has been a prominent player, most notably with West Ham United through a front-of-shirt sponsorship since 2015.

: On August 5th, the website The West Ham Way revealed the real reason why West Ham is breaking away from Betway. The separation of West Ham from its long-standing shirt sponsor, Betway, has sparked much speculation, particularly in light of the betting scandal involving midfielder Lucas Paqueta. Initial reactions suggested the club’s decision was a direct response to Betway reporting Paqueta to the Football Association, which stirred a significant amount of controversy among fans and pundits alike. However, financial expert Stefan Borson has provided a clearer, less sensational explanation for the split. Borson points out that the notion of Betway acting out of line by reporting the incident is unfounded since the company was simply complying with its legal obligations. This includes the duty to report any suspicious betting activities to maintain integrity within sports and betting industries.

Borson emphasises that Betway’s actions were not only appropriate but mandated by regulatory responsibilities, which makes the notion that West Ham ended the partnership over this issue unlikely. Furthermore, Borson suggests that West Ham was already in the process of seeking a new sponsor, motivated by forthcoming regulations that will prohibit betting companies from shirt sponsorship by the end of the 2025-26 season. This aligns with broader changes across football clubs, who are preparing to adapt to these new rules by exploring alternative sponsorship revenues. The timing of West Ham’s decision to seek other partners, therefore, seems to be more about planning for the future rather than a reaction to the Paqueta case.

: On the 2nd of July, West Ham United announced that tickets are now available for the Celta Vigo Betway Cup clash. This match, set for Saturday, 10 August at 3pm BST, marks the beginning of the Julen Lopetegui era at the London Stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to see the new head coach and his squad, including the summer signing of 18-year-old Brazilian talent Luis Guilherme, in action for the first time at home. Celta Vigo, hailing from north-western Spain, has been a consistent presence in La Liga over the past three decades and reached the semi-finals of the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League. This match serves as an exciting curtain raiser for the upcoming season and promises a day of family fun, with ticket prices starting at just £10 for both adults and juniors.

Betway Cup West Ham Celta Vigo

Currently, tickets are available to Bondholders and Season Ticket Holders, who can purchase up to four tickets each. This exclusive window for early ticket purchases will remain open until Tuesday, 9 July. Following this period, general sales will commence at 12pm on the same day. Fans can buy tickets online and by phone on 0333 030 1966, or in person at the London Stadium Ticket Office. The Betway Cup clash will be the final pre-season fixture for West Ham before they kick off their campaign against Aston Villa a week later at the London Stadium. Additionally, this event will give fans the first look at the new 2024/25 kit, adding more excitement to the day.

: Some UK sportsbooks do early cashouts better than others; for the ultimate lowdown on which bookmakers are best for strategic early cash outs, read the recently published talkSPORT list which names Betway as one of the top platforms for this handy sports betting tool. Early cashouts are becoming increasingly popular among bettors looking to secure winnings without the stress of waiting until the final whistle. This feature allows punters to cash in their bets before the end of a match if their team reaches a certain lead, effectively protecting against last-minute comebacks that can turn a sure win into a loss. Among the top betting sites, bet365 stands out for its exemplary early payout option known as the ‘Two Goals Ahead’ bonus. This promotion is available for selected matches and ensures that bets are paid out if your chosen team takes a two-goal lead at any point during the game.

Another notable mention is Betway, which, while not currently offering an early payout feature, has a history of similar promotions such as the ‘You Lead, You Win’ deal. This promotion used to apply to various sports including golf, tennis, and football, rewarding bettors when their selected player or team took a lead by a specified margin. Betway’s strong in-play betting features and comprehensive cash-out options also make it a top choice for strategic bettors looking to manage their risks effectively. Despite some sportsbooks not having dedicated early payout offers, many, like William Hill and Unibet, frequently update their promotions around major sporting events. For instance, William Hill’s previous ‘Golden Goal’ promotion allowed early payouts if your team scored first.

: The owner of Betway sister sites, Super Group, has announced a record-breaking revenue for Q1 of 2024, totalling £379.3 million. This marks the highest revenue ever recorded by the company in the first quarter, up 12.1% from the same period last year. This significant increase is attributed to substantial growth in markets across Africa and North America, with revenue in Africa alone surging by 58.9% year-on-year. However, not all regions experienced growth; there were noted decreases in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific revenues. As Super Group navigates through these financial highs, they have also revealed plans for major acquisitions, specifically their sportsbook technology platform. This move comes from a desire to fully control their core technologies, a venture that involves a complex deal with their software partner, Apricot.

Betway SuperGroup Great Results

The acquisition, valued at £140 million, may see additional costs of up to £210 million if specific revenue targets are met by 2035. This decision underscores Super Group’s ambitions to bolster its operational independence and adaptability in a rapidly evolving digital betting landscape. Additionally, the company reported a profit of £41 million for Q1, which includes gains from a significant sale and adjustments for non-cash charges. The adjusted EBITDA also rose impressively to £46.5 million, marking a 28.8% increase from the previous year, indicating robust operational efficiency and strategic foresight. Despite challenges in the US market, which saw a loss, the overall financial health of Super Group remains strong, with cash reserves increasing thanks to positive cash flows from operations. With these developments, Super Group is optimistically preparing for the rest of the year.

: Just before the excitement of the Grand National, City A.M. highlighted an attractive offer from Betway, designed to welcome new bettors with a compelling package. Betway promoted a special deal where new customers can bet £10 and receive a £10 free bet. This offer is valid only for seven days following the registration of a new account, necessitating a minimum deposit and wager of £10 on odds of 1.75 or higher using a debit card. Bettors must ensure that their first wager meets these conditions to unlock the free bet, which will then expire if not used within seven days. Betway’s interface, despite being deemed outdated, offers straightforward navigation, enhancing the betting experience without unnecessary complications. The website provides not only competitive odds but also useful betting insights through its ‘insider blog’, adding value for regular and strategic bettors.

Betway isn’t just positioning itself as a prime choice for the Grand National but as a viable platform for ongoing betting activities, featuring perks like the Betway free bets club which rewards frequent users with weekly free betting tokens. Additional incentives include regular odds boosts and insurance bet deals, making Betway an attractive option for those looking to improve their betting strategy. The firm also supports live streaming, allowing users to watch events like the Aintree Grand National Festival in real time, providing a more immersive betting experience. This integration of services, from insightful blogs to live streaming, and a strong focus on responsible gambling, underscores Betway’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and user-friendly betting environment.

Betway Review 2025

Betway has been around since 2006. It’s had plenty of time to establish itself as one of the biggest names in sports betting in the UK and beyond, and it’s done that through a combination of highly visible sponsorship deals and well-planned strategies. The past few years have seen Betway go from a brand focused on sports betting to a full casino website offering traditional and Vegas-style casino games along with its sportsbook. Based in Malta but licenced in the UK, Betway is likely to be among the first names that most people think of when they want to place a bet on a sporting event.

Being one of the names that people think of when they want to bet on sports isn’t always enough, though. This is a very competitive market, and Betway has some big-name competition. Do they deserve your money and trust more than their rivals? Let’s examine the facts.

Betway sister sites homepage

Betway Welcome Bonuses

There is a wide range of welcome promotions at Betway—or, at least, there was at the time we wrote this review—and the question of which is the best depends on what you want to do at the site. Most people who use Betway still come to the site primarily for sports betting, but not all of the welcome offers are specific to sports.

The Betway welcome offers are listed in descending order on the casino’s homepage. The first is a free accumulator bet to be used on football matches only. If a player bets £5 or more on an accumulator as their first bet with Betway and they don’t win, they get a free £30 matched bet on their next accumulator. The offer must be accepted within seven days of placing a losing bet.

As well as the matched deposit promotion, new players also receive fifty free spins on Big Bass Bonanza, which is one of the most popular online slots in the UK, and comes from Reel Kingdom. Unlike the free bet, the free spins are awarded regardless of whether or not as new player’s first accumulator comes in as a winner or not – all a player needs to do is place the bet. Happily, any winnings that might come from those spins are delivered without any associated wagering requirements, so winnings are paid as real cash and can immediately be withdrawn.

If you’re a sports bettor but prefer horse racing to football, you can get £10 in free bets by making a first deposit of £10. Like the free accumulator bet offer, the bonus expires in seven days if it isn’t used. The same offer applies to e-sports bets. The only poor-quality welcome promotion is the casino welcome offer, which is a 100% matched first deposit up to £50, but the x50 wagering requirements are nasty.

Ongoing Promotions

Betway is a little shy about what it offers beyond the initial welcome promotions. You can’t see any further promotions until you’ve registered as a customer. The idea is that the welcome offer lures you in, and you get to see the rest of your potential rewards once you’ve taken the plunge and signed up. There’s a “promotions” tab visible on the homepage of the site, but clicking on it will take you to a login screen unless you’re already a member.

We’re aware that Betway once offered a multi-layered VIP loyalty reward package to regular players, but we’re unable to verify whether this is still the case. We do know that the site’s ongoing promotional package includes a range of free bets, free spins, and instant cash prizes, but the most substantial incentives at Betway seem to be those offered to new players rather than existing customers.

What are the Pros and Cons of Betway?

Pros: Betway is a full-service casino, which isn’t always something you can say about a sports betting site. The sportsbook is comprehensive, but it’s complemented by over 400 casino games created by some of the best providers in the business. Whether you prefer slots, game shows, table games or glitzy Vegas-style games, Betway caters for you and will have something to suit your tastes. Its varied range of welcome offers means that there’s a red carpet waiting for you at Betway, no matter how you prefer to play.

Cons: We can’t talk about the pros and cons of Betway without talking about the weakness of its customer service. Live chat is the only way to speak to somebody, and the option to start a live chat is buried several clicks deep behind the FAQ section. This is a common cause for complaint among players and goes some way to explaining why Betway has such a poor rating at Trustpilot. Also, it’s hard to overlook the fact that Betway Limited had to pay the UK Gambling Commission more than £10m in 2020 because it was found to be treating some customers unfairly.

Betway Big Jackpot

Featured Slots and Casino Games

The selection of games and slots at Betway is enviable. It goes way beyond the limited range you’re likely to find at other sports betting websites. However, the casino section of the site is a little confused about what constitutes a “top” game, as it lists a whole 54 games in that section. Here’s a taste of what you might find there:-

Assassin Moon: Taking a pinch of inspiration from James Bond movies and putting a feminine twist on it, Assassin Moon by Triple Edge Studios puts you in the shoes of a female assassin on a mission in the Far East. It’s an action-packed slot featuring stacked wilds, four jackpots, giant 3×3 symbols within the free spins bonus, and a “hold and win” respins round with big money prizes. RTP in Assassin Moon is 96.08%, and the slot is considered highly volatile.

Immortal Romance: This Microgaming classic probably isn’t a new name to most of you. The vampire-themed slot is more than a decade old now, but it was so far ahead of its time when it was released that it still feels fresh. The slot is story-driven, and your choice of character will determine which of the many bonus features you’ll be able to trigger as you spin the reels. Pay close attention when selecting a character because the number of free spins you’ll be able to claim and the multiplier applied to your winnings can vary dramatically because of your choice. Volatility is about average, with 96.86% RTP.

Hyper Gold: Gameburger Studios made this game show-themed slot. Gameburger is, like Triple Edge Studios, a junior development company attached to Microgaming. The junior companies clearly share notes and resources because Hyper Gold is so similar to Assassin Moon that it’s effectively a reskin of the same format. The bonuses are the same, the hold-and-win mechanic is still present, and the RTP and volatility are the same. If you like one, you’ll also like the other. Assassin Moon is the prettier of the two, though, so that would get our vote.

The true star of the show at Betway is the sportsbook, which contains an enormous number of options. The esports section is also one of the most expansive of its kind that we’ve come across, and live betting on casino classics and game shows are on the agenda for those who are interested, too.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

Payment and withdrawal information at Betway isn’t as clear as it could be. Checking the FAQs within the help section of the site tells us that the site accepts debit cards, e-wallets, and PayPal, but nowhere does it specifically tell us which debit cards and e-wallets are acceptable. Going off the logos in the footer of the site, we think – but cannot confirm – that Betway accepts all Mastercard and Visa debit cards plus Neteller, Rapid Transfer, and PayPal. Skrill and Trustly aren’t mentioned, and so we’re forced to assume they don’t work here.

The speed of your withdrawals will vary depending on which method you use. If you’re using PayPal or an e-wallet, you should only be waiting between two and twenty-four hours. For bank transfers and card withdrawals, the quoted turnaround is two business days.

Customer Support and License

As we’ve noted a few times in this review, customer support is a significant weakness at Betway. You have to decline multiple suggested options within the FAQ before you are offered the chance to speak to anybody, and even then, your only option is web chat.

With regards to licensing, Betway is a dual-licenced casino with up-to-date licences from both the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. These licences cover all of the Betway sister sites, but the operator’s UK licence is far from clean. As per the information in the table above, the company has been disciplined by the regulator twice in four years, with the £11.6m settlement in 2020 being the largest the regulator had ever demanded up to that point.

Betway – The Verdict

Betway is a massive sports betting site. A lesser brand would have been damaged – perhaps fatally – by that enormous settlement that Betway reached with the UK Gambling Commission in 2020, but Betway seems to have barely broken its stride. It’s a well-rounded site with options for everybody, and it looks modern, sharp, and dynamic. If it strengthened its customer support, it would probably receive better reviews from customers – and also from us.

Avoid Betway at all costs! My winning bet was voided with no valid reason. After waiting an hour to speak to customer service, I was met with an unhelpful representative who claimed an incorrect rule applied to my bet. When I pointed out the error, they rudely ended the chat. This is daylight robbery. Stick to reputable bookmakers. – source: Trustpilot
  • 11-Jan-2025 by Andy:
Betway’s daily spin feature used to be genuinely random, and I even won over £30 once. Since then, I’ve only ever received the lowest possible spins—over 20 times in a row. Customer service insisted the spins remain random, which is clearly untrue, and the manager never responded to my complaint. This is fraudulent behaviour—steer clear. – source: Trustpilot
  • 10-Jan-2025 by Tony:
Betway closed my account and has been withholding my balance for over a week. They’ve decided they don’t want my business but are happy to keep my funds. This is disgraceful behaviour from a licensed bookmaker. – source: Trustpilot
  • 14-Dec-2024 by Russell:
Why schedule maintenance during live games? It’s incredibly frustrating—do it at night instead! – source: Trustpilot
  • 06-Dec-2024 by John:
Every time I play slots on Betway, it’s the same story—hundreds of spins for minimal wins. Bonuses pay out laughable amounts, often less than 1x my stake. Stay away from this scam site. – source: Trustpilot
  • 04-Dec-2024 by Zbigniew:
After winning on Betway, my account was suddenly blocked, and my withdrawal was halted. Despite completing their verification process and providing additional documents, I’ve received no communication or resolution. This is an appalling way to treat customers. Avoid this dishonest bookmaker. – source: Trustpilot
  • 28-Nov-2024 by David:
Betway’s slots are dreadful—constant dead spins and tiny payouts. I once triggered a scatter bonus and won just £0.28! The super prize wheel is also a con, offering minimal rewards despite spending a fortune. Avoid Betway—it’s a waste of time and money. – source: Trustpilot
  • 31-Oct-2024 by Barry:
Customer service at Betway is appalling. The live chat queue always has 20+ people, and there’s no email option to resolve issues. The regulator should step in because this is unacceptable. – source: Trustpilot
  • 08-Oct-2024 by Nate:
Terrible experience with Betway. My withdrawal request was ignored, and emails to their support address bounced back. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I’ve received no response. Betway is untrustworthy and unprofessional—avoid at all costs. – source: Trustpilot
  • 17-Aug-2024 by Tim:
I waited over two hours for a response from customer service, which is completely unacceptable. Their support is pathetic. – source: Trustpilot

Betway Sponsorships

Betway West Ham United

If you’re a Premier League football fan, you’ll see the Betway name often. If you’re a West Ham United fan, you’ll see it every week. Betway is the shirt sponsor of the Hammers, and has been for a couple of years now. This is a very visible commercial partnership, and it’s one that Betway is very proud of. That much is made obvious when you load the Betway website and the first thing you see is a picture of West Ham’s Michail Antonio wearing his claret-and-blue shirt with the company’s name on it. He’s flanked by Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Adam Lallana. Betway doesn’t sponsor the shirt of either of those clubs, but they are their preferred betting partners.

Betway’s sponsorship interests aren’t limited to football. Esports is becoming an increasingly important gambling market and, against all the odds, a phenomenally popular thing to watch on YouTube or on live streaming all over the world. One of the world’s biggest and most successful esports teams is Ninjas in Pyjamas, who wear the Betway name on their gaming shirts.

When it comes to horse racing, Betway is a proud sponsor of both the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National at Aintree, thereby getting its name plastered all over the two biggest horse racing events of the year in the UK. It’s clear that the company has very deep pockets when it comes to paying for marketing. Based on the popularity of the brand, the approach seems to be paying off.

Betway On Television And YouTube

Betway’s YouTube channel is constantly active, and featured quite a few famous faces from the world of sport. You might never have wondered whether the former England test cricket captain Kevin Pietersen had any poker or casino tips for you, but he stars in several videos on the channel giving you his insight into the best way to get one over on your opponents at the card table. The snooker series on the channel is extremely popular, as it pits big names from the snooker world against each other on comedy snooker tables covered in absurd obstacles.

Bigger than the YouTube adverts, though, are the Betway television commercials. There have been plenty of them over the years, so here are a few you might remember.

2019 – Bet the Responsible Way

Betway First Ad

Responsible gambling is as big a focus in advertisements for casinos now as anything to do with the casinos themselves. However, it’s a little ironic that Betway’s most responsible gambling-focused advert was released the year before the company was found guilty of breaching several of its duties as a responsible gambling company. We go “inside the mind” of players as they debate whether or not they’re having fun and whether or not it’s a good idea to carry on playing. It’s a curious approach, as it seems more intent on convincing people not to gamble than on persuading them to sign up, but it was a signal to the public that Betway took its responsibilities seriously.

2019 – Free Bet Club

Betway Third Ad

Promotions come and go quickly in the world of online casinos. 2019 is still recent history, but nothing about the 2019 “Free Bet Club” campaign by Betway is still relevant. The promotion that it was tied to no longer exists. The idea behind it was a simple one – anyone who signed up to Betway would receive one free bet on any sport of their choosing as a thank-you for signing up. The Betway advertising motif of showing conversations happening “inside the mind” of players happened in this commercial, too. It’s a strange thing to use as a recurring theme, but at least it’s memorable.

2020 – Lights On

Betway Second ad

The “Lights On” adverts are almost like mini-documentaries. They focus on sportspeople who’ve had injuries or other issues that have taken them away from their sports in the past, only for them to overcome their problems and make triumphant returns. The adverts have almost nothing to do with gambling at all – they’re more like infomercials with the Betway logo stamped on them. Many of the “Lights On” adverts are genuinely interesting to watch, which isn’t something you can often say about a commercial for a casino.

Betway in the USA

There’s a sports betting revolution happening in the United States of America at the moment, and every sport betting brand that’s big in the UK has dreams of making it big over there, too. Betway is no different. Betway Limited acquired a licence to operate in the USA in February 2021 by working in partnership with the Digital Gaming Corporation. So far, Betway has managed to launch within ten different US states. As more and more states open themselves up to sports betting, Betway is likely to continue on its American adventure and become an even bigger global brand than it already is.
