Betway Sister Sites

Saying that Betway belongs to Betway Limited might sound like it’s stating the obvious, but it underlines the fact that when it comes to the Betway sister sites, Betway itself is king. There’s nothing else on this iGaming network that comes even close to Betway in terms of public profile or importance to the UK scene. The Betway sister sites are still there to be used if you so desire, though, and if you’d like to know more about them, we have mini profiles for all of them below. A more detailed look at Betway Limited in its capacity as the company behind the Betway sister sites is available on our dedicated page for the operator.

Betway Casino

Betway Casino logo

The first of the Betway sister sites we’re going to list is part of Betway itself. It’s Betway Casino, and it’s worthy of a separate entry because its focus is totally different to that of Betway. Betway is a sports betting company. Betway Casino does just about everything a gambling site could do apart from handling sports bets. It might share web space with Betway, but it’s a totally different animal. Betway Casino has slowly been becoming an ever more important part of the Betway brand since the company took the decision to branch out from sports and start entertaining the idea of competing with other online casinos. It’s now just as big a focus as the sports brand and while it might not be quite so visible in terms of advertising, don’t rule out the idea of seeing the name somewhere prominent soon.

Hippodrome Online

Hippodrome Online

Hippodrome is one of the longest-running casinos in the market. We’re not talking about its longevity in a strictly online sense – it’s only been on the internet since 2013. Hippodrome’s longevity stems from the fact that it’s the online presence of a prestigious brick-and-mortar casino that has been in business for more than a century. You can’t buy the kind of history that the Hippodrome has. Hippodrome claims itself to be the UK’s most renowned and classical online casino. We’re not sure about the “renowned,” but it’s definitely classical. It also offers things that no other online casino can touch, like live dealer games beamed directly from the heart of the real-world Hippodrome Casino in London. It’s hard to compare Hippodrome Online to the other Betway sister sites – it’s in a league of its own.

Dream Bingo

Dream-Bingo-logo

Dream Bingo, which has been online since 2005, has more than 450 games. None of them are bingo games. That surely makes this the strangest of the Betway sister sites, and definitely makes it guilty of false advertising. Bingo fans are in for a disappointment if they land on this site based on nothing other than its name, but it has far more to offer to fans of online slots. Even then, though, it feels like Dream Bingo sees itself more as a live casino venue than an online slots site. The most heavily promoted area of the homepage is the live section, with a special emphasis on game shows. When it comes to the slots, Dream Bingo has a taste for the classics. There’s even a special sub-category for three-reeled slots. If you’re a fan of the traditional way of playing, Dream Bingo could indeed be a dream for you.

Betway sister sites Dream Bingo

Spin Casino

spin-casino-logo

The Spin casino is one of the leading Betway sister sites. It’s managed to build and maintain a great reputation since its inception way back in 2004. You’ll notice that none of the Betway sister sites is new – they’ve all been online for a very long time. If you go straight from Dream Bingo to Spin Casino, you could be forgiven for double-checking the URL and making sure that you’ve actually moved. It’s more than apparent that the same template was used to put the two casinos together. Many of the graphics – including the “we have more than 450 great games” banner – are identical. A glance at the collection of live and traditional casino games suggests that the entertainment here is identical to what’s on offer at Dream Bingo, too. Spin Casino is neither the best-looking nor most memorable online casino that you’re ever likely to come across, but it knows what it’s good at and offers 24/7 customer support.

Betway News

: Just before the excitement of the Grand National, City A.M. highlighted an attractive offer from Betway, designed to welcome new bettors with a compelling package. Betway promoted a special deal where new customers can bet £10 and receive a £10 free bet. This offer is valid only for seven days following the registration of a new account, necessitating a minimum deposit and wager of £10 on odds of 1.75 or higher using a debit card. Bettors must ensure that their first wager meets these conditions to unlock the free bet, which will then expire if not used within seven days. Betway’s interface, despite being deemed outdated, offers straightforward navigation, enhancing the betting experience without unnecessary complications. The website provides not only competitive odds but also useful betting insights through its ‘insider blog’, adding value for regular and strategic bettors.

Betway isn’t just positioning itself as a prime choice for the Grand National but as a viable platform for ongoing betting activities, featuring perks like the Betway free bets club which rewards frequent users with weekly free betting tokens. Additional incentives include regular odds boosts and insurance bet deals, making Betway an attractive option for those looking to improve their betting strategy. The firm also supports live streaming, allowing users to watch events like the Aintree Grand National Festival in real time, providing a more immersive betting experience. This integration of services, from insightful blogs to live streaming, and a strong focus on responsible gambling, underscores Betway’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and user-friendly betting environment.

: Arsenal fans have a unique opportunity to win VIP hospitality tickets for the Arsenal vs Crystal Palace match on January 20th, 2024, thanks to a special promotion by Betway, as reported by The Sun. This offer is an exciting chance for new Betway customers to experience a matchday like no other, with the added bonus of £10 in free bets. To participate in this giveaway, new customers need to deposit and wager a minimum of £10. This initial wager grants them entry into a prize draw, which is set to be conducted by raffle on January 15th, 2024. While the grand prize is the VIP tickets, other prizes such as signed Arsenal merchandise and general admission tickets are also up for grabs, ensuring that even those who don’t win the top prize still have a chance to receive something special.

Betway Arsenal vs Palace Offer

The promotion is open exclusively to new Betway customers who are over 18 and residents of the UK. The entry period for this offer runs from December 22nd, 2023, to January 15th, 2024. It’s important to note that only deposits made via debit card qualify for the promotion. The winner of the VIP experience will be contacted by January 16th, 2024, and must respond within 24 hours to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond within this timeframe, a new winner will be drawn. This promotion is a great opportunity for football fans, especially Arsenal supporters, to potentially enjoy a premium matchday experience. It also highlights the sportsbook’s commitment to offering unique and engaging promotions to its customers.

: Cricket World recently published an article highlighting SuperSport’s comprehensive preparations for the second season of the Betway SA20, the premier South African T20 Cricket League. The tournament is set to commence on January 10, 2024, at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, promising to build on the success of its inaugural season with a host of innovative features. SuperSport, along with its partners, is introducing several new elements to enhance the viewing experience for television audiences and fans alike. Among these innovations is the ‘Com Cam’, offering a fixed view of the commentary box, where renowned former international cricketers will provide expert commentary and analysis. The ‘Dug Out’ feature, a boundary-level camera, will bring viewers closer to the players and coaches, while the iconic ‘Couch’ will see commentators, fans, and celebrities engaging with the game in a relaxed setting.

SuperSport’s goal is to transcend the matchday experience into viewers’ homes, making them feel as involved in the action as those cheering in the stands. A significant addition this year is the Match Official technology, which allows viewers to hear direct communication between umpires during live broadcasts. This feature is a first for the Betway SA20, offering fans a unique insight into the decision-making process on the field. SuperSport CEO Rendani Ramovha expressed excitement about these advancements, emphasising their commitment to bringing an enthralling experience to viewers, whether they are watching on DStv Stream or Premium. The league will also incorporate Quidich technology and the innovative BuggyQam, a roving camera that offers an immersive view of the cricketing action. Additionally, animations of South Africa’s iconic Big 5 will add a fun element to the broadcast, illustrating dismissals, fours, and sixes.

: Betway has recently embarked on a strategic partnership with sports data company Twenty3. This collaboration is set to revolutionise Betway’s content delivery across various international regions, enhancing the user experience for its diverse customer base. The integration of Twenty3’s Content Toolbox will enable the platform to produce content in multiple languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, catering to a global audience. This move is particularly significant for Betway Africa, where Twenty3’s technology will play a crucial role in engaging with customers. A spokesperson for the betting platform emphasised the importance of creating consistent, branded content that can be personalised for different regions and teams. The flexibility and creativity offered by Twenty3’s solution were key factors in Betway’s decision to use its services.

Betway Twenty3 Partnership

Moreover, the sportsbook’s social media and content teams will be the first to benefit from Twenty3’s unique football data graphics application, which has recently been made available in Japanese. This application is designed to maximise data utilisation, enabling the creation of insightful content instantly. This includes everything from visualisations and predictive insights to statistical queries, thereby enhancing the storytelling aspect of sports betting.
Andrew Cox, Co-CEO at Twenty3, highlighted the value sports betting operators can derive from such tools and technologies, especially in terms of content strategy. He pointed out that these strategies are crucial for operators to creatively increase turnover through improved customer engagement, marketing, or search engine optimisation. The partnership between Betway and Twenty3 is a testament to the evolving nature of the sportsbook industry, where the convergence of media and betting organisations is becoming increasingly prominent.

: The Telegraph has highlighted an exciting betting offer from Betway for the eagerly anticipated Manchester City vs Tottenham football match. This offer is particularly enticing for new customers who can benefit from a £30 free bet if their first football accumulator, consisting of three or more selections at combined odds of at least 3/1, does not win. Additionally, Betway is offering 50 free spins as part of this promotion. This match is set to be a thrilling encounter, with Manchester City, the treble-winners, hosting Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium. Tottenham, despite a strong start to the season, is currently on a three-game losing streak, making City the favourites, especially considering Tottenham’s current player availability issues due to injuries and suspensions.

Betway has also introduced a Super Boost offer for both new and existing customers, offering boosted odds of 3/1 on Erling Haaland, Heung-min Son, and Jeremy Doku each having at least one shot on target during the game. Haaland has been in remarkable form for City, scoring 14 goals in 13 appearances, while Son is Tottenham’s top scorer with eight goals. Doku, too, has been impressive, averaging 0.84 shots on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League. To claim this offer, new customers need to register with Betway and place their first accumulator bet. If the bet loses, they will receive their stake back as a free bet up to £30. The Super Boost odds offer an additional opportunity to win, with the three players’ attacking prowess making it a tempting bet.

: The latest UK football club to reconsider its sponsorship ties with a gambling firm is West Ham United, which finds itself at the heart of a major development. A recent update indicates that a significant shift may be on the horizon for the Hammers’ shirt sponsorship. With the current deal with Betway set to expire in 2025, there is growing speculation that West Ham could be donning a new brand on their jerseys sooner, rather than later. This comes amid widespread expectations that betting companies will soon be prohibited from featuring on football shirts, prompting West Ham and nine other Premier League clubs to seek alternative sponsors. Vice-chair Karren Brady had previously signalled the club’s intentions to explore new sponsorship avenues, hinting at a dual strategy that combines shirt sponsorship with naming rights for the club’s stadium as a holistic approach. Now, it appears that two formidable contenders are vying for the prestigious naming rights to West Ham’s home stadium.

Betway West Ham Sponsorship Ending

The Evening Standard has reported that negotiations are underway with German financial behemoth Allianz and the American ticketing enterprise Stage Front, with West Ham poised to have a say in any deal exceeding £4 million. Allianz has been sweet on the idea of expanding its visibility within the Premier League for quite a while, and it seems as though West Ham could be the perfect club to bring them that visibility. There are even rumours that Allianz has even knocked up a West Ham shirt as a conceptual visual of what the kit would look like if the team donned their branding.

: With the change of the seasons, the festive atmosphere in Johannesburg is about to be elevated with the return of the distinguished Betway Summer Cup, sponsored for the second year by the leading betting company. This year’s theme, “Summer Reign,” sets the tone for an event that promises to surpass all previous expectations. Scheduled for November 25 at the historic Turffontein Racecourse, the event boasts a staggering R5-million stakes pot, a sum that doubles the previous year’s prize, marking the occasion as one of the city’s most affluent horse racing spectacles. The 2023 edition intertwines the grandeur of horse racing with an electrifying blend of entertainment and fashion, encapsulating the essence of the South African summer. The day will unfold under the gaze of VIP marquees and will be spiced up with gourmet food offerings and exceptional entertainment, headlined by celebrated artists DJ Zinhle and Lady Du, ensuring the rhythm of the festivities matches the racing pulse of the event.

Joburg’s finest will have the chance to strut their fashion statements, with the prospect of being immortalized by acclaimed lifestyle photographer Austin Malema. In a fusion of luxury and tradition, the African design house Excelsior Lusso is set to showcase its elegance. The event is not just a treat for the eyes but also a paradise for the taste buds, with exclusive tequila brands and a Summer Garden picnic area complementing the day’s experiences. In partnership with South African Airways, the event offers a travel incentive, while the reintroduction of the Superfecta bet by TAB4Racing adds an extra layer of excitement for attendees looking to try their luck.

: Gearing up for an enhanced gaming experience? Two industry giants have recently joined forces, promising a riveting journey for gamers. Play’n Go, the eminent game developer known for its outstanding offerings, has forged a partnership with the leading online betting platform Betway, ensuring that quality game content reaches an even broader audience. This alliance signals a shared vision to elevate the player experience. Play’n Go has consistently impressed with its innovative games, and through this collaboration, its repertoire will now be accessible to an even more extensive set of players. It’s a clear indication of both parties’ commitment to refining and expanding their service portfolios. Members of the betting platform can anticipate a richer gaming catalogue, packed with some of Play’n Go’s most sought-after titles. Games such as ‘Reactoonz’, ‘Book of Dead’, and ‘Fire Joker’ are just a few of the headline acts that will soon grace laptop and smartphone screens.

Betway Play'n Go Partnership

Each of these games comes with its unique themes and mechanics, ensuring that players have a diverse range of experiences to dive into. But this partnership is not just about adding new games; it’s about setting new standards. Both entities are known for their dedication to quality, user experience, and innovation. By collaborating, they aim to further solidify their reputation in the gaming sphere, ensuring that players receive nothing short of top-tier content. With improved access to a plethora of captivating games, members of the Betway sister sites are in for a delightful gaming spree! Thankfully, there are plenty of bonuses to help fund spinning sessions!

: Sportsbooks in the UK often weigh in on how they think the chips will fall in major sporting events, but this week, they got vocal on the subject of the BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing. Presumably so they could remind viewers who are fanatic enough to take to the internet to get the scoop on who would be eliminated and any other gossip and drama which usually surrounds these kinds of celebrity talent competitions that they are running odds on eliminations every week. Viewers can also take a punt on who they believe will be the winner of the competition at this early stage in the game if they want to back their favourite! An online article by the Birmingham Mail informed readers on the 14th of October that one star is set to leave the show after he felt he is ‘really up against it’.

The Betway sister sites had Jody Cundy as the odds-on favourite to exit the competition on October 15th; his struggles in the competition have been hard to ignore for viewers, judges, and fellow contestants alike, leading to the 4 / 5 odds on him being eliminated from the show. A spokesperson from Betway, Chad Yeomans, gave the tip-off that there are reports suggesting that Jody Cundy hasn’t spent much time training this week ahead of his Salsa performance with his professional dancing partner, Jowita. Another factor contributing to the belief that he would get the boot was his consistently low scores in the weeks prior.

: On October 2nd, SBC announced some major betting brands will be making a swift exit from the Indian sports betting and iGaming market. The brand operator behind the Betway sister sites, Super Group, announced its departure from India following the introduction of a brand-new tax being brought in by the Indian government, which will be placed upon goods and services and come into effect on October 1st. The tax was approved earlier this year in the summer when India’s parliament decided to amend tax rates for companies who take their profits from gambling services, regardless of where they are headquartered. Betway and its associated sister sites decided to get the hell out of Dodge when they realised that they would start to incur a 27% turnover tax on all services, including online gambling, horse racing and brick-and-mortar casinos.

Betway Leaving India

It was hardly a good look for Super Group to flee when they were asked to pay their dues, but the CEO of Super Group, Neal Menashe, attempted to paint his decision in a better light by providing a press statement which detailed that staying in India after the significant tax increase would make operating in India unviable for the company. He also added that Super Group is continuously evaluating every evolving regulatory landscape they operate in or are keen to operate in. From a financial perspective, it certainly makes sense, even if members of their platforms in India have been left high, dry and without a sports betting home after their swift departure.

Betway Review 2024

Betway has been around since 2006. It’s had plenty of time to establish itself as one of the biggest names in sports betting in the UK and beyond, and it’s done that through a combination of highly-visible sponsorship deals and well-planned strategies. The past few years have seen Betway go from a brand focused on sports betting to a full casino website offering traditional and Vegas-style casino games along with its sportsbook. Based in Malta but licenced in the UK, Betway is likely to be among the first names that most people think of when they want to place a bet on a sporting event.

Being one of the names that people think of when they want to bet on sports isn’t always enough, though. This is a very competitive market, and Betway has some big-name competition. Do they deserve your money and trust more than their rivals? Let’s examine the facts.

Betway Sister Sites

Betway Welcome Bonus

There is a wide range of welcome promotions at Betway – or, at least, there was at the time we wrote this review – and the question of which is the best to take depends on what you want to do at the site. Most people who use Betway still come to the site primarily for sports betting, but not all of the welcome offers are specific to sports.

The Betway welcome offers are listed in descending order on the casino’s homepage. The first is a free accumulator bet to be used on football matches only. If a player bets £5 or more on an accumulator as their first bet with Betway and they don’t win, they get a free £30 matched bet on their next accumulator. The offer must be accepted within seven days of placing a losing bet.

As well as the matched deposit promotion, new players also receive fifty free spins on Big Bass Bonanza, which is one of the most popular online slots in the UK, and comes from Reel Kingdom. Unlike the free bet, the free spins are awarded regardless of whether or not as new player’s first accumulator comes in as a winner or not – all a player needs to do is place the bet. Happily, any winnings that might come from those spins are delivered without any associated wagering requirements, so winnings are paid as real cash and can immediately be withdrawn.

If you’re a sports bettor but prefer horse racing to football, you can get £10 in free bets by making a first deposit of £10. Like the free accumulator bet offer, the bonus expires in seven days if it isn’t used. The same offer applies to e-sports bets.

Monthly Promotions

Betway is a little shy about what it offers beyond the initial welcome promotions. You can’t see any further promotions until you’ve registered as a customer. The idea is that the welcome offer lures you in, and you get to see the rest of your potential rewards once you’ve taken the plunge and signed up. There’s a “promotions” tab visible on the homepage of the site, but clicking on it will take you to a login screen unless you’re already a member.

We’re aware that Betway once offered a multi-layered VIP loyalty reward package to players who play regularly. We’re unable to verify whether this is still the case. We do know that there’s a range of free bets, free spins, and instant cash prizes within the site’s ongoing promotional package, but the most substantial incentives at Betway seem to be those that are offered to new players rather than existing customers.

Betway Pros and Cons

Betway is a full-service casino, which isn’t always something you can say about a sports betting site. The sportsbook is comprehensive, but it’s complemented by over 400 casino games created by some of the best providers in the business. Whether you prefer slots, game shows, table games or glitzy Vegas-style games, Betway caters for you and will have something to suit your tastes. Its varied range of welcome offers means that there’s a red carpet waiting for you at Betway, no matter how you prefer to play.

We can’t talk about the pros and cons of Betway without talking about the weakness of its customer service. Live chat is the only way to speak to somebody, and the option to start a live chat is buried several clicks deep behind the FAQ section. This is a common cause for complaint among players and goes some way to explaining why Betway has such a poor rating at Trustpilot. Also, it’s hard to overlook the fact that Betway Limited had to pay the UK Gambling Commission more than £10m in 2020 because it was found to be treating some customers unfairly.

Betway Big Jackpot

Featured Slots and Casino Games

The selection of games and slots at Betway is enviable. It goes way beyond the limited range you’re likely to find at other sports betting websites. However, the casino section of the site is a little confused about what constitutes a “top” game, as it lists a whole 54 games in that section. Here’s a taste of what you might find there:-

Assassin Moon: Taking a pinch of inspiration from James Bond movies and putting a feminine twist on it, Assassin Moon by Triple Edge Studios puts you in the shoes of a female assassin on a mission in the Far East. It’s an action-packed slot featuring stacked wilds, four jackpots, giant 3×3 symbols within the free spins bonus, and a “hold and win” respins round with big money prizes. RTP in Assassin Moon is 96.08%, and the slot is considered highly volatile.

Immortal Romance: This Microgaming classic probably isn’t a new name to most of you. The vampire-themed slot is more than a decade old now, but it was so far ahead of its time when it was released that it still feels fresh. The slot is story-driven, and your choice of character will determine which of the many bonus features you’ll be able to trigger as you spin the reels. Pay close attention when selecting a character because the number of free spins you’ll be able to claim and the multiplier applied to your winnings can vary dramatically because of your choice. Volatility is about average, with 96.86% RTP.

Hyper Gold: Gameburger Studios made this game show-themed slot. Gameburger is, like Triple Edge Studios, a junior development company attached to Microgaming. The junior companies clearly share notes and resources because Hyper Gold is so similar to Assassin Moon that it’s effectively a reskin of the same format. The bonuses are the same, the hold-and-win mechanic is still present, and the RTP and volatility are the same. If you like one, you’ll also like the other. Assassin Moon is the prettier of the two, though, so that would get our vote.

The true star of the show at Betway is the sportsbook, which contains an enormous number of options. The esports section is also one of the most expansive of its kind that we’ve come across, and live betting on casino classics and game shows are on the agenda for those who are interested, too.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

Payment and withdrawal information at Betway isn’t as clear as it could be. Checking the FAQs within the help section of the site tell us that the site accepts debit cards, e-wallets, and PayPal, but nowhere does it specifically tell us which debit cards and e-wallets are acceptable. Going off the logos in the footer of the site, we think – but cannot confirm – that Betway accepts all Mastercard and Visa debit cards plus Neteller, Rapid Transfer, and PayPal. Skrill and Trustly aren’t mentioned, and so we’re forced to assume they don’t work here.

The speed of your withdrawals will vary depending on which method you use. If you’re using PayPal or an e-wallet, you should only be waiting between two and twenty-four hours. For bank transfers and card withdrawals, the quoted turnaround is two business days.

Customer Support and License

As we’ve noted a few times in this review, customer support is a significant weakness at Betway. You have to decline multiple suggested options within the FAQ before you are offered the chance to speak to anybody, and even then, your only option is web chat.

Betway is a dual-licenced casino with up-to-date licences from both the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.

Betway – The Verdict

Betway is a massive sports betting site. A lesser brand would have been damaged – perhaps fatally – by that enormous settlement that Betway reached with the UK Gambling Commission in 2020, but Betway seems to have barely broken its stride. It’s a well-rounded site with options for everybody, and it looks modern, sharp, and dynamic. If it strengthened its customer support, it would probably receive better reviews from customers – and also from us.

Betway Sponsorships

Betway West Ham United

If you’re a Premier League football fan, you’ll see the Betway name often. If you’re a West Ham United fan, you’ll see it every week. Betway is the shirt sponsor of the Hammers, and has been for a couple of years now. This is a very visible commercial partnership, and it’s one that Betway is very proud of. That much is made obvious when you load the Betway website and the first thing you see is a picture of West Ham’s Michail Antonio wearing his claret-and-blue shirt with the company’s name on it. He’s flanked by Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Adam Lallana. Betway doesn’t sponsor the shirt of either of those clubs, but they are their preferred betting partners.

Betway’s sponsorship interests aren’t limited to football. Esports is becoming an increasingly important gambling market and, against all the odds, a phenomenally popular thing to watch on YouTube or on live streaming all over the world. One of the world’s biggest and most successful esports teams is Ninjas in Pyjamas, who wear the Betway name on their gaming shirts.

When it comes to horse racing, Betway is a proud sponsor of both the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National at Aintree, thereby getting its name plastered all over the two biggest horse racing events of the year in the UK. It’s clear that the company has very deep pockets when it comes to paying for marketing. Based on the popularity of the brand, the approach seems to be paying off.

Betway On Television And YouTube

Betway’s YouTube channel is constantly active, and featured quite a few famous faces from the world of sport. You might never have wondered whether the former England test cricket captain Kevin Pietersen had any poker or casino tips for you, but he stars in several videos on the channel giving you his insight into the best way to get one over on your opponents at the card table. The snooker series on the channel is extremely popular, as it pits big names from the snooker world against each other on comedy snooker tables covered in absurd obstacles.

Bigger than the YouTube adverts, though, are the Betway television commercials. There have been plenty of them over the years, so here are a few you might remember.

2019 – Bet the Responsible Way

Betway First Ad

Responsible gambling is as big a focus in advertisements for casinos now as anything to do with the casinos themselves. However, it’s a little ironic that Betway’s most responsible gambling-focused advert was released the year before the company was found guilty of breaching several of its duties as a responsible gambling company. We go “inside the mind” of players as they debate whether or not they’re having fun and whether or not it’s a good idea to carry on playing. It’s a curious approach, as it seems more intent on convincing people not to gamble than on persuading them to sign up, but it was a signal to the public that Betway took its responsibilities seriously.

2019 – Free Bet Club

Betway Third Ad

Promotions come and go quickly in the world of online casinos. 2019 is still recent history, but nothing about the 2019 “Free Bet Club” campaign by Betway is still relevant. The promotion that it was tied to no longer exists. The idea behind it was a simple one – anyone who signed up to Betway would receive one free bet on any sport of their choosing as a thank-you for signing up. The Betway advertising motif of showing conversations happening “inside the mind” of players happened in this commercial, too. It’s a strange thing to use as a recurring theme, but at least it’s memorable.

2020 – Lights On

Betway Second ad

The “Lights On” adverts are almost like mini-documentaries. They focus on sportspeople who’ve had injuries or other issues that have taken them away from their sports in the past, only for them to overcome their problems and make triumphant returns. The adverts have almost nothing to do with gambling at all – they’re more like infomercials with the Betway logo stamped on them. Many of the “Lights On” adverts are genuinely interesting to watch, which isn’t something you can often say about a commercial for a casino.

Betway in the USA

There’s a sports betting revolution happening in the United States of America at the moment, and every sport betting brand that’s big in the UK has dreams of making it big over there, too. Betway is no different. Betway Limited acquired a licence to operate in the USA in February 2021 by working in partnership with the Digital Gaming Corporation. So far, Betway has managed to launch within ten different US states. As more and more states open themselves up to sports betting, Betway is likely to continue on its American adventure and become an even bigger global brand than it already is.
