Even with the rebranding of its parent company, Vbet is still clearly a major operation. It’s still the official betting partner of AS Monaco in France, and such high-profile partnerships don’t come cheaply for iGaming brands. From the above information about Vbet, you know that Vbet has always historically been the most important iGaming brand on the SCGO Limited platform, and Dafabet is the operator’s most significant acquisition. BinkBet, on the other hand, is the platform’s most unlikely survivor. It belongs to the same group and class as a whole series of former Dafabet sister sites that have closed down, from PixieBet and Ava Bet to more popular brands like ManBetX, which has completely withdrawn from the UK despite spending huge sums of money sponsoring the shirts of Premier League football clubs in the not-too-distant past.

In theory, there’s no difference between BinkBet and the other former Dafabet sister sites that have closed down. In practice, there must be something keeping this one open while all the others have gone. Perhaps it’s as simple as SCGO’s white-label partners in the running of BinkBet are happy with the returns they’re making, or perhaps there’s something more to it. If there is something more to it, it’s certainly not the way BinkBet looks. With its blocky interface and its all-blue colour scheme, it’s not a betting site you’d ever describe as being easy on the eye. In practice, though, it largely covers the same grand as both Vbet and Dafabet.

Dafabet is a sports betting site that’s known all over the world. It began in the Philippines but quickly spread to India and the surrounding area before finally announcing its arrival in the UK with a series of eye-catching (and expensive) shirt sponsorship deals with Premier League football clubs. Dafabet obviously has a big budget, and it can point to a large global player base as a sign of its success, but is it actually a great place to bet on sports?

Dafabet Welcome Offers

Move on; there’s nothing to see here. It’s our understanding that Dafabet used to offer welcome promotions in the past and that those promotions could sometimes be generous. It seems that the company has had a change of heart. At the time we came to write this review, Dafabet did not offer any promotions of any kind on the UK version of its website. Sports betting sites are, on the whole, less likely to offer promotions than casino sites, but it’s still a surprise to see them offer literally nothing whatsoever to tempt potential new customers into opening an account.

Monthly Promotions

If you’re looking for monthly promotions at Dafabet, we invite you to re-read the paragraph above. There are no promotions at Dafabet whatsoever. You don’t get a warm welcome, nor do you get any ongoing rewards for choosing Dafabet. It’s an odd approach for a modern sports betting website, and it leaves us wondering whether we visited the site at a bad time and they’re currently rethinking their approach to promotions before launching new ones. There isn’t even a VIP members club to reward players for their loyalty. Unless Dafabet offers outstanding odds on the exact fixture or contest you want to place money on, it’s hard to see why anyone would sign up here to play rather than checking out one of the many alternatives instead.

Dafabet: Pros and Cons

Pros: Considering everything we’ve said above, it’s hard to come up with any positives about Dafabet – but we’ll try. It’s obviously a big name in the sports betting world. Dafabet still has a bunch of high-profile partners through its sporting sponsorships, and it could only afford to pay for those sponsorships if it was a successful site. It’s clear that enough people are spending money (and losing) at Dafabet not only to sustain the business but help it to thrive, so it has to be doing something right. It’s also a very good-looking website. Not having a full casino attached to it allows it to focus on sports, and it looks all the cleaner and easier to use because of that.

Cons: We’ve covered the biggest negatives of Dafabet already, but they bear repeating. There are no Dafabet promotions. There is no reason to sign up with Dafabet at all so long as you can find similar odds elsewhere and, perhaps, use a promotion or two to either improve your chances of a win or make that win more lucrative. The number of bad reviews that Dafabet gets at Trustpilot makes us wonder whether the customer service team is all it’s cracked up to be. In broad and general terms, Dafabet is an iGaming site built specifically for those who are serious about sports betting.

There are so many well-known Dafabet football shirt sponsorships that it’s impossible to see anything other than football betting as the “top game” at Dafabet, but other sports aren’t far behind. The brand also has sponsorships with various English cricket clubs, indicating that accepting bets on cricketing matters is also a key part of its business plan. Looking at the list of priorities on the Dafabet homepage, casino games take second billing to sports betting, after which live casino games are the category in third place, and esports are fourth. There’s also a “BetGames TV” channel attached to the website where players can watch streams of some sports and esports, but you’ll find it’s the same service as the one you’ll find at the Dafabet sister sites.

It’s not a clean licence – the operator had regulatory issues in 2023 and resolved them by paying a settlement in lieu of a fine. Dafabet – The Verdict

It’s impossible to recommend playing at Dafabet above the other big sports betting websites we mentioned at the top of this page. It’s simply too insubstantial. All the key indicators say that the site handles the business of sports betting very well, but the absence of any promotions is weak in comparison to the big players in the marketplace. If the UK version of Dafabet were to be brought in line with the range of options and additional games available at international versions of the site, things might be very different. Until that happens, it can’t be counted as being among the best.

Dafabet might not have found any space on its UK website to offer you any promotions or access to any Dafabet sister sites, but it’s happy to shout about its various sponsorships. To be fair to the people behind Dafabet, we understand why. It’s not every sports betting site or gambling company that can boast about sponsoring one of the biggest teams in world football. That team, for those not aware, is Celtic – a team that’s won the Scottish Premier Division more times than we can even count.

The deal between Dafabet and Celtic is thought to be the most lucrative in the history of Scottish football. It began in 2016 and was scheduled to run for two years, but the two sides got on so well that they decided to stay together for a further five years, announcing in 2018 that they’d signed a new contract that will see the Dafabet name continue to appear on the club’s shirts until the end of the 2023 season. If things are still going well at that point, there’s no reason why they wouldn’t extend it further. Celtic is a club that’s almost guaranteed to finish second place in the Scottish Premiership on the rare occasions that it doesn’t win it, and also regularly competes in the UEFA Champions League. Visibility doesn’t get much better than that for a sports betting company, so the deal works well for both parties.

Other Dafabet Sponsorships

Only a fool would put all of their eggs in one basket. If something were ever to go wrong in the relationship between Dafabet and Celtic, the company has other sponsorships to fall back on. It even sponsors other football teams in other countries. Dafabet is currently the sponsor of Cadiz CF – a company that competes Spain’s La Liga against the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. They’re not the biggest team in the Spanish league, but they’ve won the country’s second-tier league in the past and are regarded as up-and-comers. In the Brazilian league, Dafabet is the shirt sponsor of Santos F.C.

Dafabet’s sponsorship interests aren’t strictly limited to cricket. The company also has partnerships with several English cricket clubs and organisations. There isn’t a sport in the world that’s more English than cricket, so getting involved in the game must have made all the sense in the world to the company’s marketing directors when they decided to move into the UK gambling scene. In no particular order of importance, Dafabet is the major sponsor of Sussex County Cricket Club, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, and an official betting partner of Durham Cricket. On top of that, the brand is the official and trusted betting partner of Warwickshire and Edgbaston. All of these sponsorships are impressive – but we still feel that Dafabet would do better if it took some money out of the sponsorship and marketing budget and spent it on promotions instead.
