Paradise8 Review 2024

We’re not going to keep banging the drum about the fact that Paradise8 doesn’t have the benefit of being covered by a UKGC licence – we’ve made the point enough times already, and we know that plenty of you are happy to play at non-UKGC casinos anyway. We also know that Paradise8 is one of the most popular of the Curacao-based casinos. We have no idea why there isn’t a space between “Paradise” and “8” – that’s just how the casino likes to style the name – and we don’t know what Paradise8 actually means. We do know whether or not it’s a good casino, though, and so will you by the end of this review.

Paradise8 Welcome Promotions

On the homepage of Paradise8 is an advert for a 200% matched deposit welcome promotion. That sounds like a generous offer, but no further details are offered on the casino’s homepage. We went to the casino’s “Promotions” page in search of further details and found our first big red flag. When you click on the bonus for more information, a pop-up box offers a choice between two welcome bonuses at “Casino Crazywinners.” It’s apparent that the terms and conditions of Paradise8 have been transplanted copy-and-paste style from another casino, with very little attention to detail paid.

The pop-up didn’t tell us anything about terms, conditions or wagering requirements, so we tried to dig deeper. Unfortunately, there’s no further information to be found. The casino’s general terms and conditions make it clear that wagering requirements will also apply unless specifically stated otherwise, but we have no idea what those wagering requirements are. That’s not a great start.

Other Promotions

In addition to its mysterious matched deposit welcome bonus, Paradise8 also offers “cashback insurance.” Again, there’s no explanation of how this works – players are simply advised to speak to a support agent once they’ve exhausted their account balance, and a percentage of cashback will apparently be added to their account. A separately listed “next day cashback” promotion identified the percentage as thirty per cent and stated that cashback is always paid the following day. That conflicts with the information given in the “cashback insurance” promotion.

The biggest of the ongoing promotions at Paradise8 is its VIP Points system, which is a loyalty scheme. Again, though, the casino refers to itself as “Crazywinners” in the “more information” tab attached to the bonus. Points can be turned into cash at a rate of £1 for every one thousand points. It isn’t clear how much players need to spend to earn a point, but then it isn’t clear how any of the other bonuses work either.

What are the Pros and Cons of Paradise8?

Pros: The casino offers the full spectrum of customer support – telephone assistance, live chat and email support. For that, it should be applauded. It’s also a casino that accepts cryptocurrency, which will be seen as a plus for a niche group of players.

Cons: Pretty much everything else. The lack of a proper licence, the fact that the casino’s terms and conditions are a copy-paste from a different casino, the fact that all the games come from a single provider, the lack of clarity around wagering requirements, the lack of information about withdrawal processing, the fact that the casino charges for handling deposits – take your pick. We could go on.

Customer care is one of the few things that we can give Paradise8 credit for. There’s a telephone number to call – +1718 732 0154 for players in the UK – and there’s also live chat available. If you’d rather send an email, the correct address is [email protected]. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the casino doesn’t have an iGaming licence. Until 2024, Paradise8 claimed to be licensed by Curacao eGaming, but the claim has been deleted from the casino’s website. Either the licence never existed, or Paradise8 no longer meets its requirements. Either way, it means that if you play here, you’re playing at a completely unlicensed and unregulated online casino. The same goes for all of the Paradfise8 sister sites.

Paradise8 – The Verdict

If you’ve read this whole review, you’ll know what we’re about to say. Having great customer support doesn’t make up for the many and varied problems this casino has, from the lack of basic information it provides to the dodgy terms and conditions. Charging players for handling deposits is quite frankly rude, and then there’s the lack of variety in the casino’s games portfolio to take into account. It’s not a good casino and, in our eyes at least, isn’t worth the risks that come with playing at it.
