Health Games Sister Sites

Hunky Bingo

Hunky Bingo

Even though the online casino scene has changed beyond almost all recognition within the past decade, there’s still a perception that bingo sites are for women and online slots sites are for men. To that end, bingo sites are often designed to attract the female gaze. There are a few examples of that within the collection of Health Games sister sites, and Hunky Bingo is one of them. The theme of “hunky,” “beefy,” or otherwise desirable men is repeated as a motif so often at Hunky Bingo that it almost feels as if the bingo games themselves take a back seat to it. It’s all in the name of good fun, though, and there’s plenty of fun to be had at Hunky Bingo if you’re a lucky player. As well as various exclusives, Hunky Bingo promises “beefy” bingo rooms and “bulging” jackpots. The less said about the context of that last one, the better!

Spin Genie

spin-genie-logo

When you have a casino network of over 200 websites, it’s inevitable that some of your online casinos are going to be better known than others. Health Games is not a stand-out name in terms of popularity when it’s compared to the various Health Games sister sites. That’s not a criticism – it’s a statement of fact. Spin Genie is at the other end of the scale. Aside from the 888-branded sites, Spin Genie is one of the most-played casino sites on the entire network. Its success can be partially attributed to some well-timed and well-executed advertising campaigns, but Spin Genie’s constant supply of attractive promotional offers helps a lot with that, too. The biggest star of the show, without a shadow of a doubt, at Spin Genie is the slots collection, which is approaching three thousand and will likely exceed that tally within the next year. There are at least a dozen options for every theme and every genre. You could play a different slot every day for almost ten years at Spin Genie.

Winzino

Winzino

We don’t want to call Winzino the polar opposite of Spin Genie, but there’s definitely a stark difference between the two. Aside from the fact that both casinos specialise in online slots, they have almost nothing in common. Spin Genie is clearly a product of the 2020s with a modern aesthetic. Winzino looks more like a 1960s game show – and we think that’s a deliberate choice. There’s a game show host mascot wearing a sparkly jacket on the homepage of the site, and the Winzino logo is decidedly retro. No fewer than three welcome offers await new players, but there’s a far smaller catalogue of games here than you’ll find at the other slots-focused Health Games sister sites. There’s also a lot of white space on the website. The impression we get from Winzino is that this was designed for ease of use. It’s a very simple, straight-to-the-point casino site that lacks depth, but has a small selection of quality slots and some interesting promotions to go with the limited range of games that it offers.

Health Games sister sites Winzino

Slotahoy

Slotahoy

If the name “Slotahoy” doesn’t clue you into the fact that this is a casino website with a pirate theme, you’ll quickly get the message when you see the female pirate on the homepage. So much of the site is built around the Gonzo’s Quest slot that we have to wonder whether it was designed for that very purpose, but it would be wrong of us to suggest there’s nothing more to Slotahoy. In fact, the entire Slotahoy library contains more than five hundred slots. The only issue is that these five hundred slots are the same five hundred slots that you’re likely to find at many of the other Health Games sister sites, including Health Games itself. The Broadway Gaming group has a habit of stuffing its second-tier casinos full of near-identical content – doubly so when they’re working on a white-label site. It would make sense for players to come and play at Slotahoy if they love the pirate theme. It’s hard to argue that there’s anything outstanding at the casino apart from the theme, but one hook is all you need so long as it works.

Health Games sister sites Slotahoy

Slot Ranch

Slot Ranch logo

Howdy partner, and welcome to Slot Ranch. Of all the Health Games sister sites in all the world, you had to walk into ours. It’s fun to write Western cliches, and that’s precisely why Slot Ranch exists. The theme isn’t subtle, and it certainly isn’t clever, but it’s hard not to smile the moment you see it. From the “Old West” font to the cowgirl and the bandit who serve as your hosts and mascots at Slot Ranch, this is a well-dressed-up casino site with an emphasis on “dressed up.” We say that because if you peek behind the disguise, you’ll see that this is yet another use of the five hundred game template that also powers Slotahoy. The upper half of the casino homepage looks totally different from Slotahoy, but the lower half looks almost identical. We guess the Broadway Gaming team is going to keep pumping out these identikit casino sites as long as it can keep coming up with themes for them – and if the approach works, who are we to criticise it?

Xl Casino

Xl Casino logo

You have to work hard to justify a name like “XL Casino.” “XL” stands for “extra-large,” and so when you use the term, you’re effectively promising customers a massive casino site full-to-bursting with online slots and other casino games. That’s a high benchmark to meet because, as we’ve already seen, there are slots and casino websites out there with more than three thousand games in their collection. After all this build-up, the big question is whether XL Casino has done enough to justify the name – and the answer to the question is “no.” For all the talk on the homepage about “making it large,” this is another 500-game cookie-cutter Broadway Gaming white label casino site. The promotions at the site are also touted as being “XL,” but there isn’t much to pick between the ones here and the ones at Slot Ranch. The jackpot games section will be of interest to some, and the “hot” label gives you some insight into which games are popular with players, but aside from that, there’s no unique selling point at XL Casino.

Health Games sister sites XL Casino

Hippo Bingo

Hippo Bingo logo

Hippo Bingo is probably a bingo site. That’s a weird thing to say about a site with “bingo” in its name, but Hippo Bingo is presented in a very strange way. A promotional offer involving free spins on the Starburst slot is front and centre on the casino’s homepage, and “popular slots” is the first section of the site you’ll see once you’ve scrolled past the welcome offers. We can’t help but feel like “Hippo Slots” would have been a better name for this casino site, and, given how many pairings and trios there are in the Health Games sister sites family, we’re a little surprised that Hippo Slots doesn’t exist. With a little rebranding to reflect the fact that bingo takes a very distant second billing to online slots, Hippo Bingo might become a lot more popular. It’s a good-looking site with a quick, easy user interface, so it would be popular with slots players. Bingo players might get bored and leave before they see so much as a single bingo room. Also, despite the name, there are no hippos on the homepage. What’s all that about?

Health Games sister sites Hippo Bingo

King Jackpot

King Jackpot logo

The number five appears all over the King Jackpot casino website, and we don’t just mean it because this is yet another Broadway white-label casino site that uses the same bank of 500 online slots. The number 5 is also central to the welcome offer, which tops out at £555 in matched deposit funds. We have no idea whether the number 5 is important to members of the royal family, but the king character on the promotional banner certainly seems to be happy to see it. The presence of that finely robed and crowned monarch, who stands before an enormous roulette wheel, is just about the only example of originality at the site. The Broadway cookie cutter has been brought out of the drawer yet again to create this site, and it’s as effective as it usually is. We’re not saying that the basic slots sites in this range aren’t worth playing – it’s just that it’s hard to say why you’d go to them when there are so many premier-quality casinos among the Health Games sister sites.

Health Games Review 2024

Health Games was launched as a white-label 888 UK Ltd site in 2018. The site is connected by both name and branding to the Health Lottery, although the Health Lottery itself isn’t and never was an  888 property. Players can feel good about playing at Health Games because a percentage of their first deposit with the site is donated to NHS Charities Together (albeit not a very large percentage). Charity begins at home, though, so does Health Games pay out to its players and offer fair rewards – especially after moving from the 888 Group to Broadway Gaming in 2022? This review is where you’ll find out.

Health Games sister sites homepage

Branding is a fairly simple exercise at Health Games because so many people are familiar with the Health Lottery logo already. Some players will even instinctively trust the casino the moment they see the logo – which is exactly what its owners wanted from the partnership. “Simple” is a word that we could use to describe the top-to-bottom design of Health Games, which is understated, inoffensive, and – if we’re being brutally honest – a little bit dull. We commend the casino for having a charity connection and turning it into a feature, but the casino has a basic design that won’t live long in the memory after you’ve left the page.

In a curious move, Health Games won’t reveal its full selection of slots and games until after a player has registered. It claims to have more than nine hundred slots in total, but you can only scroll through a handful of them before you’re prompted to either sign in or register. That’s not ideal for a new player weighing up whether or not they want to play at Health Games, and it wouldn’t surprise us if the casino had lost a few could-have-been customers because of this strange, secretive choice.

Health Games Welcome Bonuses

We always say in our reviews that welcome promotions can be amended or withdrawn at any time. We also always say that it’s important for players to check the terms of promotions themselves in case things have changed since we wrote our review. No site explains why we give those disclaimers better than Health Games. If you visit the “Offers” section of the casino site, you’ll see four welcome offers listed, all of which appear to contradict each other. There isn’t enough information to determine whether players are free to choose between them or whether this is a case of older promotions not being removed from the site when new ones are added.

Only one of those welcome offers is listed on the promotional banners of the homepage, so that’s the one we’re going to go with. The offer is a matched deposit bonus of up to £50 on a first deposit, coupled with fifty free spins on NetEnt’s gloriously popular Starburst slot. The offer is only available to those depositing a minimum of £10. Free spins have to be used within seven days, but the real catch here is that bonus funds come with a wagering requirement of x80. When the bar is set so high, the bonus almost isn’t worth having.

Monthly Promotions

There are no ongoing promotions at Health Games. The casino site doesn’t operate a VIP reward program, and there aren’t any tournaments or recurring promotions for players to get involved in. This is a big weakness compared to almost all of the Health Games sister sites – even those that use a similar portfolio of games. However, there are still a few things a new player can claim beyond the welcome offer.

Players making a second deposit of at least £10 are eligible to receive a 50% matched deposit bingo bonus (maximum value £70), a 20% matched deposit to play on slots (maximum value £50), ten free bingo tickets, and 22 free spins on a range of handpicked online slots. As with the first welcome offer, any free spins, bonus funds, or other rewards that aren’t used within seven days are considered forfeit. Any winnings generated from free spins must be wagered x99 before they can be withdrawn, which is one of the highest wagering requirements we’ve ever seen in our time reviewing casino sites.

Health Games Pros and Cons

Pros: The biggest positive we can find for Health Games is its charitable side. Knowing that some of your money is going to support the NHS is a nice feeling, and it’s a feature that doesn’t exist at many other casino sites. The connection between Health Games and Health Lottery is strong, but not so strong that they have the same direct charity links. Health Games didn’t have to do this – but it did it anyway. If we stretch to find another positive, the game reviews in the “Gaming News” section might offer you some fresh insight into some of the more popular games on the site and perhaps a few new pieces of information you haven’t encountered elsewhere.

Cons: You’ll note that we didn’t include the casino’s gaming content in the “pros,” and that’s because it’s very hard to. The hardest thing to process about Health Games is that it offers an x80 wagering requirement on its already-stingy welcome offer and then ups that wagering requirement to a potential x99 on second deposit bonuses. That’s three times higher than the average across the UK online slots scene, and it’s very hard to justify.

Health Games Charity

Top Games at Health Games

Whoever designed Health Games clearly had a taste for two things – incredibly high wagering requirements and classic slots. The most prominently featured online slots at Health Games are all well-established hits from the past. We’re reasonably sure that you won’t need introducing to them, but we’ll recap anyway for anyone who’s new to our hobby.

Starburst: In the eyes of millions of players – and make no mistake about it, millions of people play this space-inspired game – this is the greatest slot of all time. It’s certainly one of the longest-lasting. It’s been nearly ten years since NetEnt released Starburst, and yet it’s as popular now as it was when it was hot off the press. We can attribute that to two things – its near-hypnotic atmosphere and its generous sticky respin wilds, which expand to fill a whole reel when they land. It’s so often the simple things that make an online slots game stand out, and yet no slot has ever handled the simple things better than Starburst.

Cleopatra: There are well over one hundred Egyptian-themed online slots in the marketplace. Another one will probably be released within a week of you reading this and a dozen more within the next twelve months. It’s a massively popular genre, and yet Cleopatra by IGT manages to stand out from the crowd. Like Starburst, this slot is a veteran. It’s been online for a decade, and it lacks flash and flair. Whether it’s the free spins with x3 multiplier wins that keep players coming back or whether it’s the slot’s fabled reputation for paying out big jackpots is something we don’t know – but there’s clearly magic here somewhere.

Shaman’s Dream: If you ask an online slots player which game Eyecon is best known for, most of them would say Fluffy Favourites. If you asked them for their second choice, though, they’d probably say Shaman’s Dream. This Native American-themed slot with its vaguely haunting canyon aesthetics was released in 2016. There’s a nice perk in the base game when a wild lands because it doubles the value of any win it touches. That goes up to x3 during free spins, which can be retriggered up to 30 times. Shaman’s Dream is yet another example of an expert developer nailing the “simple but effective” task.

There isn’t a live casino at Heath Games, but there’s a small number of bingo rooms and a handful of instant win scratches should you wish to investigate them.

Deposits and Withdrawals

We can tell you that Visa and Mastercard are both accepted as payment methods at Health Games. We also believe that the site accepts PayPal and also deals with Interac e-transfers. We say “believe” because payment and withdrawal information is incredibly hard to find at Health Games. The logos of the accepted payment methods are featured in the footer of the website, but you have to open the casino’s full terms and conditions if you want to know more than that. Those terms and conditions can be a little buggy – especially if you’re using Chrome – so some players may not even be able to see them.

Based on current turnaround times, it takes five business days to process card withdrawals, up to seven days for a wire transfer, or three days for PayPal withdrawals.

Customer Support and Licensing

The fastest way to get a problem resolved at Health Games is to call the casino on 0800 901 2510, which is a freephone number in the UK. Not everyone enjoys talking on the phone, though, so you can either use live chat or fire off a request via the contact form on the “Help” page if you’d prefer. The telephone line is answered between 10am and 2am, seven days per week. Live chat is only available if you’re able to log into your account.

The UK Gambling Commission licence that covers Health Games is number 58267, and is held by Broadway Gaming Ireland DF Limited. It’s a clean licence, and has been ever since it was first awarded to the company in early 2022. The same licence covers all of the Health Games sister sites.

Health Games – The Verdict

Health Games is deserving of respect in one way because of the assistance that it provides to the NHS, but then it earns our disrespect by applying ridiculous wagering requirements to its promotions. Applying an x85 wagering requirement to welcome bonus funds is an insult. Applying an x99 wagering requirement to free spins winnings is outright crazy. The terms and conditions of this casino are neither customer friendly nor fair, and that’s reason enough to give it a wide berth – especially when so many better casinos with better terms exist on the same platform.

About Health Games and The Health Lottery

Health Games Logo

Although Health Games is not directly linked to the lottery scheme of The Health Lottery, they donate a small portion of deposit money to the charity cause. Health Games match 20% of all players’ first deposits (up to £5) to donate to NHS Charities Together, which is a charity that covers communities all across the UK. This is a great way to get players involved, as they can not only enjoy the experience of an online casino but also know they are helping out with a nationwide charity at the same time.

Since Health Games are linked to The Health Lottery, there is a featured section about the casino site on their main Lottery site. Lotteries and other forms of fast gambling, like scratch cards, are linked very closely to casino gambling, so this joint brand helps expand into a larger target audience. Speaking of the target audience, it is clear to whom Health Games is targeted since The Health Lottery site describes this site as being the perfect way to “relax after work” by enjoying one of the over 600 games they have to offer on the casino site.

Health Games Advertising, Sponsorships, and News

There are no video advertisements available for the Health Games casino site, but this is likely because they are so closely affiliated with The Health Lottery. There are many adverts both on TV and within the media for The Health Lottery, so video adverts, in particular, are less necessary for Health Games, as most of their promotion will come from their sister site as well as potentially through the Broadway brand.

The same goes for sponsorships and brand deals. Since Health Games is a sister site for The Health Lottery, they will not take part in any sponsorships that are not related to The Health Lottery since they are a brand built off of this. Any sponsorships or brand deals that The Health Lottery participate in will essentially benefit the Health Games site since it is linked to the main Health Lottery site and they are also so closely connected as sister sites.

Health Games Health Lottery

While the Health Games site has not specifically taken part in any direct sponsorships, the popular UK news site Mirror News actually produced a piece on Health Games, promoting the site and all of its offers and games. Titled “£20 bonus offer from Health Games casino – with £1million jackpots to be won”, the Mirror News noted how this casino site is all about having fun while giving back to charities across the UK. The article outlines most of the features of the casino as well as a lot of key information regarding the legal side of the casino. The Mirror is a very popular news outlet in the UK so this will have brought a lot of traction to the Health Games site and will showcase it to many new players and audiences.

There is a ‘gaming news’ section on the Health Games that is featured at the top of the page as one of the main categories. This gaming news section includes some helpful guides such as “The Complete Guide to Slingo” and “Progressive Jackpot Slots Guide”. Most of this news page is filled with these types of guides, which is a good way to involve newer and amateur players, as it is shown to be less daunting with a helping hand. There is not much news to be seen in this ‘gaming news’ section, though, as it is more centred around providing tips and tricks for different types of casino games.

Health Games on Social Media

While the Health Games are clearly so closely linked to The Health Lottery, they do actually have their own Facebook page that has over 2,500 likes. They consistently post about new and upcoming offers and deals that can be enjoyed on the casino site, such as their news games, the huge jackpots that can be won on the site, as well as updates and fun, interactive posts. Alongside the help of The Health Lottery, Health Games is definitely growing its audience with its own presence on social media.

The Health Lottery also has a large presence on social media, which will definitely help to grow the popularity of the Health Games casino site. As well as a popular Facebook page with over 54,000 followers, The Health Lottery also has a YouTube channel with over 1,300 subscribers, which they post to somewhat frequently. The content on their social media closely mirrors the content that can be found on their site, including winners’ stories. They also have posted some of their TV ads on there to be viewed online.
