Wink Slots Sister Sites 2024

Being part of the Grand Battery Holdings Limited network means that there are well over one hundred active Wink Slots sister sites, details of all of which can be found on our dedicated Grand Battery Holdings page. We’ve picked out the best of the bunch for you here, though, and also provided a full review of Wink Slots further down this page.

888 Ladies

When the 888 Group decided that it wanted to sell off the Dragonfish bingo platform plus all of its non-branded iGaming sites in 2022, there were certain sites that everyone thought would be kept out of the sale. One of them was 888 Ladies. This was once the ultimate signature bingo site on the 888 platform, and yet 888 no longer has anything to do with the running of it despite the presence of the brand’s famous logo on the 888 Ladies homepage. It’s a Grand Battery Holdings bingo site now – but you wouldn’t necessarily know that from a brief glance at the website. Perhaps wisely, the operator has left as many elements of the classic 888 Ladies site unchanged as possible, including every aspect of the decor and even most of the details of the promotions. It’s had to swap out the old bingo games, though, as they belonged to the 888 Group. Are the new ones quite as good? We’ll leave that to you to decide. At least the fact it was packaged with the rest of the group means that it’s still one of the Wink Slots sister sites.

Wink Bingo

There are quite a few “brand pairings” among the Wink Slots sister sites. Just as Costa Games and Costa Bingo both exist on this platform, so do Wink Slots and Wink Bingo. While we quite like the aesthetic of the Wink Slots website, it’s not a patch on Wink Bingo, which is easily the best-looking iGaming site under the Grand Battery Holdings umbrella. Something about the cartoon style of Wink Bingo makes it look contemporary and retro at the same time. This is a site that makes a strong first impression, but it follows up on that strong front impression by making all of its bingo games easy to find right in the middle of the homepage. The welcome promotion that Wink Bingo currently offers is reasonable, and you could always play slots there if you felt like it. We’re not sure why you’d choose Wink Bingo over Wink Slots if slots are what you’re after, though.

888 Bingo

Seeing 888 Bingo on the Grand Battery Holdings platform is arguably even more shocking than seeing 888 Ladies on the Grand Battery Holdings platform, as this was once one of 888’s core brands. There was a link to 888 Bingo in the top corner of the 888 Sport homepage, right next to the links to 888 Casino and 888 Poker. Cutting ties with 888 Bingo can’t have been an easy decision for its former owners – and yet they might have chosen to do so at the perfect time. Even before the sale, 888 Bingo was beginning to look behind the times and rough around the edges compared to its more modern peers. Compare and contrast 888 Bingo with one of the prettier Wink Slots sister sites that specialise in bingo – Wink Bingo, for example – and there’s no comparison. 888 Bingo might have a famous name, but it looks shabby, and the swapping out of the old bingo games for the new ones has arguably reduced its appeal further. The name recognition of 888 Bingo means it’ll always have its fans, but it’s a site that would benefit enormously from a total overhaul.

Costa Bingo

Costa Bingo logo

Between 888 Bingo and Costa Bingo, you could make an argument that the 888 Group had started giving up on bingo long before it chose to sell the Wink Slots sister sites to Broadway Gaming (and subsequently to Grand Battery Holdings). Some of its best-known bingo sites had been allowed to grow old under the operator’s control, with nothing done to arrest their decline. Costa Bingo used to be one of the biggest bingo sites in all of the UK, as attested by the digital plaque on its homepage, which hails the fact that the site has welcomed more than 900,000 people since opening in 2009. Some readers might even recall Costa Bingo being advertised on television by Scary Spice. That’s all a distant memory now, and although Costa Bingo still has its charms, it looks like the back end of a bus. It might even be in more need of a redesign than 888 Bingo is. We hope that’s food for thought for Grand Battery Holdings.

Wicked Jackpots

Wicked Jackpots logo

Most of the Wink Slots sister sites that Grand Battery Holdings picked up from 888 are bingo sites, which makes Wink Slots itself something of an outlier. There are exceptions, though, and Wicked Jackpots is one of them. Back in their former home, we wouldn’t have liked to say which was the biggest or best casino site – Wicked Jackpots or Wink Slots. These days, we wouldn’t hesitate to say that Wink Slots is the superior site. Since taking ownership of Wicked Jackpots, Grand Battery Holdings has opted to apply a new template to it, which has taken away some of its formerly unique appeal. The template looks modern, so it might not be a bad idea for the operator to apply it to some of the uglier Wink Slots sister sites like Costa Bingo or 888 Bingo, but it’s a little limited. The lack of ongoing promotions at Wicked Jackpots doesn’t help the matter much, either.

Wink Slots Review 2024

Back when Wink Slots was on the 888 UK Limited platform, it was thought of as one of the top casino and slots sites on the whole network. How does it hold up now it’s a Grand Battery Holdings Limited site, though? Is the casino better or worse for all the upheaval, and how does it compare to the Wink Slots sister sites that also deal in traditional casino games? There’s only one way to find out – let’s review.

Wink Slots Homepage

Wink Slots Welcome Promotions

The welcome promotion at Wink Slots can be broken into two – one offer that will cost you money and one that won’t. The one that won’t is a no-deposit free spins offer, with thirty free spins up for grabs to anyone who registers an account with the casino. They’re dished out at a rate of ten spins per day for three days, with each batch of ten spins redeemable on a different slots game. The maximum conversion from this bonus is £25 per set of ten spins, with an x30 wagering requirement applied to all winnings. If spins aren’t used within seven days of being awarded, they’re forfeited.

If you enjoyed that and want to stick around and spend money at Wink Slots, you can progress to a 100% matched deposit up to a maximum of £100 the first time you make a deposit at the casino. The offer comes with a further thirty free spins, the terms of which are the same as previously stated. Max conversion for the matched deposit is set at £400, and the wagering requirement is again x30.

Ongoing Promotions

Wink Slots occasionally chops and changes the promotions it offers beyond the welcome promotion, but the one promotion you can bank on being there all the time is the Wink Slots shop. To buy anything from this shop, you’re going to need coins. They’re dished out at a rate of one coin per £10 spent on slots. “Goods” that can be purchased from the shop include bundles of free spins and other fairly standard casino prizes. The exchange rate isn’t fantastic, but the exchange rates of promotions like this rarely are.

Wink Slots also offers cashback to all of its players. Three per cent of all daily losses up to a maximum of £100 per player is returned to all losing players every day and is awarded the day after the loss. Cashback is delivered as real money, which means there aren’t any unpleasant wagering requirements attached to it.

Pros and Cons of Wink Slots

Pros: Wink Slots offers players comprehensive customer support. If you need assistance while you’re playing at this casino, you can ring up and speak to someone, use live chat, or send an email. The choice is yours.

While there aren’t lots of promotions at the casino, there are rewards for players both old and new. The presence of the Wink Slots “shop” means that players who spend big and play often will always be able to secure a little something extra from the casino.

Cons: While 750 isn’t a number to be sniffed at, it’s not enough games for Wink Slots to be considered among the greats when it comes to range and variety. The lack of any live dealer options hurts the overall appeal of the casino a little, too.

Withdrawals are slow. You’re looking at up to five business days even for a PayPal transaction. We’ll go into more detail about this below.

Top Games at Wink Slots

Wink Slots presents its slots in groups on its homepage, so you could almost pick any of them as “top slots” depending on what you’re in the mood for. Scroll down far enough, though, and you’ll find a section called “Top 10 UK Slots.” You can probably guess what you’re going to find there, but let’s break down the top three anyway.

Starburst: It looks like Starburst’s all-time classic Starburst slot is never going to run out of steam. It’s been around for more than ten years now and seems to become more popular with players with every passing month. You could put that down to the hypnotic soundtrack, the strangely relaxing videos or the potency of the expanding wild symbol, but whatever it is, it works. The surprising thing about Starburst is that it manages to remain popular despite having notoriously low volatility, paired with a middle-of-the-road 96% RTP.

Eye of Horus: You’re always likely to find an Egyptian-themed slots game in the “top slots” section of any UK-facing online casino. The only real surprise at Wink Slots is that the game is Eye of Horus rather than Book of Dead. This Reel Time Gaming slot is considered a classic, but it’s rough-looking by modern standards. You might want to play it just so you can say you’ve played it if you’ve never done so before, but there’s very little to recommend about Eye of Horus compared to more modern slots in the same genre.

Big Bass Bonanza: When we look back in ten years’ time, we might be able to say that Big Bass Bonanza was as influential as Rainbow Riches, Fluffy Favourites, Eye of Horus or any other well-known slots game you could name. Reel Kingdom’s fishing-themed classic didn’t invent the fishing genre, but it made it popular and led to a wave of clones being released in the years since 2020. The concept of fishing lends itself perfectly to the mechanics of a slots game, and that might be the true secret of this slot’s enduring appeal.

Deposits and Withdrawals

If Wink Slots lets itself down anywhere, it’s here. Perhaps that’s too harsh, though – the withdrawal and deposit terms offered by the casino are determined by Grand Battery Holdings Limited and are the same at all of the Wink Slots sister sites. For a start, your options are limited – if you’re withdrawing, you can use a UK debit card, PayPal, or a wire transfer. All withdrawal requests are subject to a processing time of two days. From there, you’re looking at a further 2-3 business days to receive a PayPal withdrawal, 4-7 business days for a wire transfer, or 5 business days for debit card withdrawals. When depositing, you can also use Paysafe cards or Apple Pay. All deposits are instant.

Customer Service and Licensing

The default method of contact at Wink Slots is live chat, with a link in view at all times, no matter where you are on the casino website. You have to be logged in to use it, though. Alternatively, you can call 0203 794 3049 or send an email to [email protected]. Wink Slots is covered by the UK Gambling Commission licence held by Grand Battery Holdings Limited under account number 58267. As of the time of writing, the licence is clean.

Wink Slots – The Verdict

If it weren’t for the fact that Wink Slots keeps its players waiting an inexplicably long time for withdrawals, we’d be calling this a very good slots site. The emphasis is on “slots site” rather than casino, though – this isn’t a place to come if you like playing against live dealers because you’ll get nothing. If you love slots and you’re patient enough to wait a week for your money when you’ve had a win, Wink Slots could be the one for you.
